...which has a fairly relaxed atmosphere with non-intrusive lounge music playing. The MGM Grand has several categories of eateries - fine dining, casual dining and cafe type establishments. Restaurants in the fine dining category include Joel Robuchon (average price per head £125 for a 6 course meal), Craft Steak (about £50 a head), Shibuya (about £40 a head) & Fiamma Trattoria and bar (average £30 per head) - I didn't try any of these out but can only assume they would suit people who enjoy "posh" cuisine. On the casual side there is Emeril's - which has the signature dishes of one of the US's most popular celebrity chefs - Emeril Lagasse. ...~ My first visit to Café De Paris was grand & although I was taken by all the dazzling glamour, I was surprised to see how celebrities & the normal working class people like myself who just loves clubbing mingled together on the dance floor ~ there was no unfriendliness what so ever, instead it was a warm & loving atmosphere making you feel welcome. On my first visit I spent three hours on the top level of the Mezzanine area dancing to the music & looking at all the famous people. I have been a few times since then and you just get used to it. Advantages: Nice luxury hotel with a great atmosphere

...are the Grand Café, which serves breakfast and lunch, the Zephyr Deli, Butlers Martini Lounge, the Grand Slam bar or Starbucks. We didn't fancy any of these and so ended up eating in a Tex-Mex restaurant down the road, which luckily turned out to be very nice. As we managed to wangle a special discount price, breakfast was included. This consisted of a buffet in the Grand Café, with everything from toasted bagels, smoothies and fresh fruit to breakfast potatoes and scrambled eggs, and it was delicious. Sitting on the tiled cafe area looking out over the water feature and waterfalls was also a good experience and added something to the whole atmosphere of breakfast. However, the usual price was about $18 (£9) for breakfast, so if we hadn't had the discount, I don't think I'd have been tempted to eat there! ~~OTHER FACILITIES AND SERVICES... Read review

...are desperate you have no choice. The concierge, theatre and tour desk which was open from about 9am till 5pm and was very helpful you could book any trips here and the staff were very helpful in helping you make decisions there was also a wide array of leaflets you could take to your room and make decisions over. The Commodore Lounge which was open from 2pm till 1am and could be found opposite the Commodore Grill this is the best place to hang out in the hotel it is very comfortable and sophisticated. You can get light snacks, cocktails and a good selection of wines and beers that were priced reasonably ish after all you are on holiday but a beer usually sets you back about £3.50 and a glass of wine anything from £4 upwards. Advantages: Magnificent resort hotel. Self contained. Good rewards. A superb well maintained self contained Resort hotel complex adjacent to DisneyWorld. More than enough things to keep interests aroused.
Disadvantages: Could be considered expensive.

...On a recent trip to Tampa, Florida we spent the weekend over in Orlando cashing in a gift voucher for my wife’s birthday (more of this later). I have been a member of the Hyatt Gold Passport scheme for about five years now and have been very impressed by the standards that are maintained in their premises both in Europe and the States. We had often thought that we might try the Grand Cypress because of its reputation (indeed last year we ended up at the Hyatt Orlando by mistake!!) but prior to this visit had never made it. The hotel sits in the midst of a 1500 acre estate on the northern edge of Walt DisneyWorld. .... It is impossible to look out over Ljubljana without catching a glimpse of the gorgeous castle perched prominently on the hill. The Ljubljanica River flows elegantly down through the city, passing the cobbled streets and many cafes and restaurants. During my time in Slovenia I stayed at the beautiful, elegant Grand Union Hotel. I believe that my holiday was made a lot better due to my stay at the hotel. ***GRAND UNION HOTEL*** The Grand Union Hotel is a four start hotel situated in the centre of Slovenia. The hotel is split into two parts the business part and executive part. There are over 300 rooms in total so it is fairly small and quiet. ...My fiancee and I stayed for 3 nights at the Grand Hyatt in Shanghai at the begining of August. It was fantastic! We were met at Pudong Airport ( which is so modern and efficient) by a new Buick, then taken to the Hotel. That took 45 mins. The luggage was taken on the ground floor, and as we had a Grand Club room, our check-in was on the 83rd Floor. Our room was on the 80th floor, and the view was amazing! We had a corner room, and views of the Bund and Pudong. The attention to detail was everywhere, and the double sided entry to the robe is a great idea. The Grand Club Lounge serves Breakfast, Afternoon Tea and Cocktails included in the room rate, which for us was $228US a night, plus 15% service charge. ...the Grand Place, in the very heart of Brussells, is a sight to behold. Flanked on all four sides by a series of buildings erected over the course of the last 600 years, it is a tourist mecca which appears on every postcard. In the small back streets that rise off from the square, there is a maze of bars, cafes and restaurants. Many are pricy, but on a summers day it is THE place to sit with a grande bier, watching the world go by. You can even get a stomach-busting cauldron full of moules avec frittes for something in the region of 450 BF (£7.50) - and it is worth cruising for a while to find the little extras some venues chuck in (beer, wine, salad, pud). When I visited on a Sunday, the square was home to the open air bird market. If you can get over the cruelty of seeing some of the most incredibly beautiful birds in the world... Read review
