...An independant 3 star family business, the only in Great Yarmouth, even though I live in Great Yarmouth, and I have stayed here once, due to a night out. It was very comfort and the staff were very pleasant. To stay the night it cost me £74.00 including breakfast for me and my partner, and we had a lovely sea view room, and the room was very comfortable, it even had an ironing facilities in the room, the first I had even seen. tv, en-suite, tea & coffee facilities, towels. Breakfast was 100% a simple menu of cerals and fruits, with a full English breakfast, it even offers kippers and bloaters and kidneys the first menu I had seen with fish and kidneys offered, I didnt dare go for that, I stayed safe with the full english breakfast and it was cooked to perfection! ...Great Yarmouth has always been a great day out for me ever since I was just a little nipper. I used to love it when my parents said we were going there for the day. There is so much to do and see at Yarmouth that just leaves you wanting to go back for more. WHERE IS IT? Great Yarmouth can be located off of the A12 and from Ipswich is about 1.5 hour drive. It is also possible to take the train there, which I have also done before. Great Yarmouth’s home is Norfolk. CAR PARKING There are many car parks in Yarmouth. The largest of the car parks are the Beach Coach Station, Nelson Road North and at St. Nicholas car park, Marine Parade. These are close the seafront, the main attractions and the beach. ...NAME OF LOCATION: Great Yarmouth, a coastal town in Norfolk that has been popular for generations with day-trippers and longer stay holidaymakers alike. BACKGROUND: I went for a week with Gee Vee Travel (see separate article) to Great Yarmouth staying at the Swanvale Lodge Hotel, 6 Standard Road, Great Yarmouth Norfolk NR30 2EZ (Tel/Fax: 01493 331442) with my parents. We had the opportunity to visit places around on a couple of the days, too but spent much of our time in Yarmouth (as it is generally known but not to be confused with the Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight). Advantages: Good public transport
Disadvantages: Confusing to drive around

...I've been living in Great Yarmouth for 13 years now, and have been driving for the past 5 years. Although I'm a driver, it's not often I drive around town. There's many 1 way roads, and drivers can easily get confused if they are new to the town. There is only 1 main way into Yarmouth, and that's on the A47, locally called the Acle Straight, because it is a long stretch of road. There are other, longer ways to get into town, but that will really take you round the houses! As you enter Yarmouth, you will see the new bridge on your right and a roundabout, which will take you into town and seafront etc. Although it can be difficult to find your way around Yarmouth if you are new to the town, everything is pretty much well sign posted.
