Let's Take A Stroll Down Oxford Street
Review of Oxford Street (London) by  hellyphant

Advantages: Lots and lots of shops - you'll be entertained all day long
Disadvantages: Very very crowded, smelly, noisy and full of annoying tourists

...to explore the whole of Oxford Street from one end to the other, as it is situated at what I like to call 'the starting point'. The Oxford Circus stop on the other hand, is right bang in the middle of Oxford Street and the stop I personally prefer, as I know the shops I like are nearby, i.e. Top Shop, Miss Selfridges, H&Ms etc. Bond Street is the posh stop. If you're hoping to bump into a top celeb, you're most likely to if you get off here and take a slow meander down Bond Street, home to some of the world's top fashion designers. You?ve probably seen the pictures of Posh 'n' Becks doing their weekly Gucci shop down Bond Street. I've personally yet to bump into them, but if you camp outside one of the shops for long enough, you might well be lucky. Marble Arch is the last stop on Oxford Street, where the shops are slightly more spread... Read review

H&M - Heavenly & Marvellous
Review of H & M (Shop) by  missie123

Advantages: Great ranges, great clothes, great prices
Disadvantages: You'll need a lot of time to shop properly

...H+M – High-priced and meagre? Horrible and mean? Heavenly and marvellous? Ok…just about run out of ideas for that one! What it actually stands for is Hennes and Mauritz – the name of a high street fashion store with a bit of a difference. Their philosophy is “to provide fashion and quality at the best price” which they certainly do. *****The clothes***** H+M stock all kinds of clothes; mens, ladies and childrens. They also sell accessories, underwear and cosmetics – basically all you could want under one roof except for a pair of shoes! In each department you will find an amazingly wide range of clothes, everything from basics like t-shirts, jumpers and trousers at one end of the range to, shall we say, more specialist clothes at the other. If I had to sum up H+M’s ‘type’ of clothes in one word I would have to say fashionable... Read review

H AND M STILL WAITING FOR A BRANCH
Review of H & M (Shop) by  emu128

Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: queues only SOMETIMES

...'t! Coming back to the point of NOT having an H & M any where near me at all and not even visiting an H & M in England at all. I really need another H & M I'm missing it! Does this mean I'm going to have to go all the way back to France to shop for decent quality and priced clothes!? I still have all the items I bought from the shop, I bought clothes, underwear and even hair accessories! None of these items have I been at all disatisifed with and apart from my other fave Hight Street shops such as New Look and Tammy this has to be one of my favourite shops! The shop suits all sizes as I mentined before, all ages as well from young teenagers to women at the age of around 50+! I think this shop is very succesful but should be introduced in England more! Then more people will get to notice it! Thanks for reading~Em~... Read review

~ H&M Clothing Stores ~
Review of H&M by  kate44

Advantages: Good value, latest fashion, lots to choose from
Disadvantages: Not that well laid out

...better thought out and a bit more organized as you do sometimes really have to search for things as there are just so many items and they are not layed out all that well but this is the only problem i have found. H&M sell clothes for all age groups and they have a large section that sells babies and childrens wear too. They also have a mens section. H&M sell a wide range of lingerie and swimwear and you probably wont find items of the same quality for the same price anywhere else on the high street. They also do lots of good special deals too, for instance - three vests in any colour for £10 or three t shirts for £12 etc which is great value for money and especially good for holiday clothes and summer clothes. You can usually get loads and loads of items if you had say £100 to spend on basic evey day essential tops which... Read review

H&M ROCKS
Review of H & M (Shop) by  rachface69

Advantages: Cheap, amazing!
Disadvantages: quite small sizes

...Am I the only person who loves H&M? Everytime I go in, I actualy want to buy everything! I recently went in to the oxford circus branch in London and fell in love with everything! And everything is so cheap!!!!! Lately theyve added a new charity range in there too, to raise awareness for causes such as aids and have got bands such as good charlotte and my chemical romance to design clothes. Again, these were not expensive and very up to date witht he latest fashions! I notice a lot of the clothes in H&M have become a sort of 'Indie' style lately which I love! Skinny jeans of all colours for only £14.99, various vest tops, jackets etc... A good place to also buy accessories from. As a girl I love my accessories and I never fail to find what I want. Id recommend this shop if you want a whole new up to date wardrobe.. The only... Read review

H&M Store
Review of H&M by  newby2

Advantages: has great cheap clothes
Disadvantages: none

...H&M After finding myself pregnant and realising I was going to have to put all my fantastic size 10 clothes to the back of the wardrobe and live in unsightly oversized smocks for the best part of seven months I was somewhat upset. After having a look in the Next catalogue and finding their range of maternity wear disappointing to say the least I was determined I would find cheap affordable maternity wear that actually looked good even if it killed me. I had purchased a few items from Next but not wanting to overspend on clothes that I am hopefully not going to be wearing for a long while after this pregnancy I was limited due to the fact next maternity wear really did seem to be rather expensive. The next stop was to Mothercare where I found a very disappointing range of very unflattering clothing. I asked... Read review

H and M - best fashion at the best prices
Review of H & M (Shop) by  leedsgirl

Advantages: There is a lift, its very cheap and the clothes are good value
Disadvantages: The range of clothes avaliable could easily be extended.

...In Leeds city centre there is a large h&m store, there are 4 seperate floors ; womans and plus sizes , mens, young fashion, babies, children and maternity wear. Each floor has a very wide range of different styles and colours but the price remains low. The womans and plus sizes floor has clothes suitbale for ages 16+ These clothes include ranges of high street fashion, underwear, swim wear and fashion accessories ;jewlerry, hats, scarf's and hair ties. I feel that this could only be made better with a range of h&m make-up. The mens floor, well I can honestly say that i've only given it a flying vist, but what ive seen looks good. This floor is mainly for ages 20+ with shirts, jeans and t-shirts as the main lines of clothes. The mens clothing carries on downstaries, where they cater for a younger person. Also... Read review

H&M - Top Man
Review of Oxford Street (London) by  Gervase

Advantages: Big choice, cheap, fast stock turnover
Disadvantages: Some of it is too weirdly fashionable.

...Most of Oxford Street is nothing special, the same old tired chains repeated 3 or 4 times - there must be 4 branches of Next along there - but for a fulfilling tactical shopping mission you can't beat Oxford Circus. There you have Hennes and god's own Top Man facing each other across Regent's Street. Top Man is full of junk, but it's cheap, stock changes rapidly (so rapidly that if you don't buy something when you see it you won't find it again) and any weird fashion quirk will be available just as soon as you start slagging it off. Hennes is brilliant. Dirt cheap, some fantastic cool clothes, some bizarre efforts and basics too. If you find a sale there it's almost indecent how little things cost. The quality may not be superb but it isn't bad, things last long enough, and look good for as long as they last. Both have easy going... Read review

SIZE TEN FOR MEN
Review of H & M (Shop) by  r-rackham

Advantages: You can still find some goodies
Disadvantages: tooo trendy and small

...I was first introduced to H&M by my girlfriend. When we got together she decided my wardrobe needed a bit pof updating (though I loved my lime greem tanktops, she was not too keen). So we went to Oxford Street and I stood aghast at the array of different styles, fabrics, designs and prices to choose from. H&M does not cater for the higher brand of any market, but it does (or should I say did) cater for a lot of different tastes. It was like a big GAP, only not so expensive and with a bit more of a 'trendy' feel. I thought that I was in clothing heaven, cheap clobber and I could wear my lime green tanktop with pride, as H&M made my girlfriend realise that I, unlike her, do not follow trends, but set them. However, I was wrong. H&M went through a 'peak' phase where fashion magazines noted their clothes as being a worthy alternative... Read review

Get kitted out for a hot date here
Review of H & M (Shop) by  spankygoodtime

Advantages: Good selection of clothes at good prices
Disadvantages: Queues

...I have an important and exciting event coming up this week. I am going on a hot date!!! Now I am rather keen to impress this guy, but I don’t have a lot of cash at the moment to spend on a completely new and expensive outfit. So I caught the bus down to Oxford Street this morning to see if I could sort myself out. I headed straight for Hennes & Mauritz (H & M) and their Big is Beautiful (BiB) section. I am not exactly Miss Thin and I am not in the first flush of youth, but I do not think that I should hide behind drab, boring clothes because of that. The clothes come in a great selection of funky styles to suit all tastes, and are laid out according to colour. They stand out well against the shop’s stark white interior, which is very helpful when trying to co-ordinate an outfit. This company’s stores also stock... Read review
