...One of the wittiest and sharpest books I have read this year has to be "Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha" by Roddy Doyle. In his Barrytown trilogy (The Commitments, The Snapper and The Van), Roddy Doyle brilliantly explored family life through various members of the Rabbite family. These three novels combined comedy and sadness to such effect that they established the author as a major new talent. In "Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha" Doyle maintains the Barrytown/Dublin setting but focuses on a different family, and the narrative point of view is changed to a boy of ten - Paddy Clarke - growing up fast and discovering new aspects of childhood as each day passes. Advantages: Analogue, Birthright, A Fine Blue line...everything really

...This is the first album from A-ha for a while, and i think it is brilliant. I was a fan of their 80's music, who couldn't love 'Take On Me'???!! if you're expecting this album to be like that, you will be pleasantly suprised. There are some real gems on this album, including my favourite the lead song 'Analogue'. 1. Celice - I think this is an unusual song to open, as it is the worst song and most annoying one on the album! If you think the album can only go downhill from this, you are very wrong. it gets better and better! 2. Don't Do Me Any Favours - a nice guitar, catchy song. It has very thought provoking lyrics and is a nice summer tune. 3. Cosy Prisons - This is a nice slow tune, with just a piano and acoustic guitar accompanying Morten Harkets voice. he always hits those high notes perfectly, and this doesnt change... Read review

Advantages: Excellent romping cowboy themed music for children under ten.
Disadvantages: Won't appeal to all ages but has a pretty long shelf life. Some songs quite repetitive.

...The Happy Gang,s "Yee-Ha" Song Collection, on CD. Available to buy, live from Happy Gang tours with tapes starting at £6.99 and CD's at £9.99. This is where we bought Cherith's. However, they are available much cheaper in the shop, with tapes from just £2.99 and CD's from £4.99. I 've also seen some on e-bay with a starting price of just £1. For those of you out there who don't know who or what The Happy Gang are, therefore probably don't have kids, I will tell you! They are a singing sensation made up of two men and a women, much like the Singing Kettle, and originated in Scotland, Edinburgh to be exact. They tour Scotland and now Englang too. ...This product review is about Nestle's NAN HA 1 baby milk formula. As far as I'm aware, this product is known as Carnation Good Start in other parts of the world. Before I go on to reviewing this product, I have to address the controversial issue of the Nestle boycott. I first became aware of this boycott against Nestle when I researched the NAN HA formula on the Internet. There's very little information available about this baby milk, but the search engine kept bringing up a website called www.babymilkaction.org. They are a non-profit organisation spearheading the Nestle boycott in the UK. They seem to be on a crusade of some sort to stop Nestle from marketing their baby products, not only in developing countries but here in the UK as well. ...The Nikon D300 will currently set you back around £1000 in the UK, and that's without the glass on the front. My review here might seem technical to some, but that's not an amount of money most people part with lightly. I don't apologise for putting some basic spec in the review, after all, if you're considering buying this camera, it's exactly what you need to know before getting out your wallet. If you're after a camera that will take good quality pictures, and allow you minimal chance to alter the settings, then there are other cameras out there that will offer you better value for money. Either way, I'd never advise buying a new camera, this one included, off the back of reading a review. You should always see that camera in person before making a decision. Advantages: CGI looks fantastic, decent action
Disadvantages: Unintentionally hilarious, takes itself too seriously, gratuitous violence and nudity

...300 kind of tells the story of the Battle of Thermopylae (we'll deal with that later), in which a group of just 300 Spartan warriors held off the invading force of thousands of Persian soldiers. It stars Scottish actor Gerard Butler (we'll deal with that later) as King Leonidas, Lena Headey (who?) as his Queen, and that guy from LOTR and Van Helsing. What a cast, eh? To be fair, I shouldn't be so harsh, since none of them are that bad. But anyway… 300 begins by explaining Leonidas's childhood, as he was brought up in a Spartan society which raises only the perfect boys (and throws the rest down a cliff), and breeds them into fierce warriors by making them fight each other to the death and leaving them out in the cold to fight wolves. ...Introduction The Electro-voice SX300 PA speaker is an extremely lightweight PA speaker, but still delivers in both sound quality and volume as bigger and heavier speakers. I myself bought these speakers for use as monitors for my music studio, but since then I have used them for discos and other activities at my school, as they are easy to transport. I use these speakers with two EV bass cabinets and power them with two peavey power amplifiers. This rig is amazing for small gigs and vocal announcements in small-medium sized venues. Construction The SX300's are made mainly of plastic but they do have metal fixings on them to secure the whole cabinet. ...Background 300 is the second Frank Miller graphic novel to be adapted for the big screen. The first was the critically acclaimed Sin City and the director Zack Snyder has used the same process of photocopying panels from the original comic book to plan out the finished look of his latest movie. The final result is a visually stunning combination of live action and CGI that is remarkably faithful to Miller's original artwork.
