PEARL HARBOUR INVASION (PS2)
Review of Medal Of Honor - Rising Sun (PS2) by
olijt20
Advantages: Very Realistic, Excellent Graphics, Larger Levels Than Frontline
Disadvantages: Easier Than Frontline, Nothing to Go Back Too
...Ever since the Medal Of Honour games were launched for the Playstation I have always been a fan and after playing the brilliant Medal Of Honour Frontline was keen to get my hands on the latest version. For those of you that don't know the Medal Of Honour games are first person shooters based on various events of the second world war.
I purchased the game from Argos in December 2003 shortly after it's release for £29.99.
BACKGROUND
Rising Sun Is set after Frontline and is based on the Japanese Invasion of Pearl Harbour. You play the part of Corporal James Patterson who is stationed at Pearl Harbour, the aim is to ultimately win the war and beat the Japanese
STARTING UP
When you first start the game you have three difficulty settings as in the original Frontline.
I would recommend starting on the normal difficulty setting...

De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel, Southampton
Review of De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel, Southampton by
Bambika1984
Advantages: Fantastic rooms, friendly staff, great location
Disadvantages: some of the other guests seem to think their a bit special!
...the town.
The next room up would be the Delux room these are exactly the same as the standard rooms except they also have a small seating area and a view over the harbour - the view alone is well worth the extra money!
You then have the Executive room which is the same as the the Delux just a little bigger, with the executive rooms you can choose between town view and harbour view.
Then there are the suites, there are junior suites, these are the rooms i have stayed in and although a little more pricey than the rest of the rooms the are well worth the extra money for a special occasion. They are very big rooms that have a kingsize bed, a seperate lounge area normally a sofa and a dining table and chairs, as well as a large balcony with patio furniture. You get upgraded toliletries in these rooms and the last time i went they were all from...

Climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge
Review of Sydney Harbour Bridge by
natalierees
Advantages: Fantstic views, sense of real achievement
Disadvantages: Quite pricy, need to book
...is no obligation to buy them - although we did and how often do you getyour photo taken at the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge - however we didn't feel presured to buy them and our instructor even said I will take lots so you have the option but don't feel you have to purchase them.
The photos were $15 dollars each or 2 for $29 so we did what a lot of people do and buy them and then scan them in - I am sure this is illegal but everyone does it apparnetly - that way if there is two of you you need one buy one set of photos. I found they were not pushy in trying to sell the photos they let you look at them all digitally and its really up to you whether you purchase them or not. You end up in a souviner shop as well (quite crafty) but again this is very reasonably priced and I bought some postcards to send to people that show the bridge saying 'I...

Whitby's wonderful harbour
Review of Whitby Harbour by
micksheff
Advantages: Lots of history, plenty to see and do
Disadvantages: Some areas are not suitable for disabled visitors
...Whitby is a small fishing town in the north east of England and in my opinion it is one of the most beautiful picturesque seaside locations in this part of England. The town itself has a real old worldly feel to it with its bustling narrow streets and each week thousands of visitors descend on the town to soak up its charm. At the heart of Whitby is its harbour and without this harbour there is no doubt that Whitby would not be the wonderful place that we find today.
The town grew up along the two opposite banks of the River Esk, which is spanned by a swing bridge that was constructed in 1908. It is however known that a bridge has spanned this river since medieval times, whilst the town itself predates that by a further thousand years or more. Whitby's most famous landmark, its abbey was built in the year 657AD.
Today, Whitby...

Harbour Park
Review of Harbour Park by
btco
Advantages: Children will love it and its FREE to get in
Disadvantages: Gets very busy
...After living in West Sussex, and Littlehampton being just up the road, Harbour Park is a great place to take your children.
It’s a big tourist attraction so it does get busy throughout the holidays.
Harbour Park is in Littlehampton, West Sussex coast. To get to Harbour Park is very easy, it’s just off the A27.
Trains and Buses run regular to Littlehampton, and it’s a 5 – 10 minute walk from the train station.
Harbour Park is on the seafront it has a sandy beach. Where normally if you were to walk anywhere else on the West Sussex coast its all pebbles. Not good for sitting on let me tell you. You can see the River Arun and its marina. It’s a lovely view.
Harbour Park is great for the whole family if you all want a good day out.
Harbour Park is open all year round, except Christmas day.
Your probably thinking ‘How much’ well...

Darling Harbour
Review of Darling Harbour by
pookster
Advantages: A Fantastic place to stop a relax
Disadvantages: None that I can think of...
...Darling Harbour is a small area of Sydney that lies alongside the Chinese garden and only about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Sydney. The atmosphere in the harbour is much more relaxed than in the centre of the city and it seems as if you could be miles away. The easiest way to get there is to walk from the city centre, but we found it quite by accident when we were on the monorail.
On one side of the harbour are a shopping centre and various fast food restaurants and cafes. The shopping centre has quite a reasonable selection of shops, but beware of the ultra-tacky souvenirs! The harbour side itself is really nice to walk round and the cafes are great to sit and enjoy a drink or ice cream and watch the world go by.
You can take the ‘Land Train’ around the harbour but this is just a tractor pulling some...

Friday Night - Harbour Lights
Review of Barbados - Harbour Lights by
Morgenhund
Advantages: Some nights offers all inclusive admission price, good fast food
Disadvantages: Taxi service back from HL can vary
...Harbour Lights is undoubtedly one of the best known nightspots in Barbados, and of course it is well known in Britain as well as on the island.
Some might baulk at a $B35-45 (GBP12-15) entrance fee but the alcohol is all inclusive for this fee on a Friday night, and the measures are generous. Harbour Lights is partially outdoors, and even at night it is still plenty warm enough to dance under the stars. The food is your standard fast food, and is reasonably priced. Throughout the week there are special theme nights, and the punters tend to be many tourists, although there are also Bajans there.
One thing to watch out for though is the price you get charged for a cab when you leave Harbour Lights. Some unscrupulous drivers will say one fee and then charge you another. One trip to St Lawrence Gap cost $B55 (GBP18), whilst we had...

darling harbour
Review of Darling Harbour by
rj_1973
Advantages: close to CBD,large ammount of shops and cafes, pleasent atmosphere
Disadvantages: crowded at weekends, overpriced, gets boring real quick
...If you are looking for authentic australian atmosphere, then Darling Harbour would be one place best avoided.
Okay, its situated around a harbour, but where isn't in Sydney?.
Its main claim to fame is its huge exhibition hall and conference centre, where some events in the olympics were situated. But who travels all this way to look at a conference centre.
Kids may enjoy Sega World, but apart from that theres little else for them.
Cafes and bars are horrendously expensive, although there are a multitude to choose from, plus a large food court. If you are after items of australiana to take home to friends and loved ones then there are plenty of shops to cater for your needs. Whether its a didgereedoo or a | | |
