...I saw Harmony products being advertused in a magazine and i thought i would give them a try as i really wanted flat, straight hair like the girl in the advert. i bought some and was suprised by the cheap price, but i was dissapointed with the results. The product gave no hold - it just added a greasy substance to my hair and i was not impressed. I had to wash my hair because it was so bad. I would not recommend this product it really does absolutely nothing that it said it would - the only good thing about the product was the cheap price compared to other top brands. there is one thing for certian, next time i go round boots, i shall certainly NOT be buying any Harmony hairspray. 0 out of 10 for me - a big dissapointment.... This site is packed full of useful resources including product reviews, links to guitar tab sites, and loads of utilities to download. There are also forums and chat rooms where you can interact with fellow musicians. The site has an excellent 'Musicians Ads' section, which is great if you're looking to join or start a band. ...). A week into my stay in USA I called Harmony to find out where my order had got to. I was told that they had not received confirmation from their bank that they had received the money. After several further phone calls and being told the same thing, I had to call international back to my bank in UK who then called Harmony’s banker in NewYork and confirmed that the money has been sitting in their account for 3 weeks !!!! Needless to say Harmony made no attempt to deliver the goods as ordered, but I received a short abrupt email from Leon Gold that they would refund my money. 6 weeks later, and back in UK, I still had not received a refund. This time when I called Leon Gold to complain about the way this order had been handled and find out what had happened to the refund, he did not want to know and when I enquired what his position... ...The digitech midi vocalist is a nice little piece of kit. It is used for creating vocal harmonies while singing. It can generate up to 4 extra harmonies while you sing. It is very easy to use and the midi control is great. (vocoder mode)You can play a part on a keyboard and when you sing, the keyboard part creates the notes for the harmony. This was the most useful feature of the unit for me. It is a 1U rack mount unit and comes with the rack fittings, and power supply. It has a stereo output which automatically pans the harmonised voices. The microphone can be plugged in the front XLR jack or in the rear with a normal quarter inch jack. I bought the midi vocalist and a small effects unit to emulate ENYA type voices. It’s really good. I would recommend the unit to any vocalist as it “beefs up” your vocal line. The user... ...Ben Folds Five . Genius' at work . I recntley bought two of their albums (Whatever and ever amen , Reinhold Messner ) on the recommendation of a friend . I couldn't be more glad . Ben folds five are a truly unique band with harmony , melody and meaningful lyrics in a music world dominated by harmony pop . Whatever and Ever Amen features some of the best songs i have heard this year songs like brick (A touching ballard about abortion ) and song for the dumped display the talents of this awesome three piece . The unauthorised biography of Reinhold Messner is much of the same , however this albm trails a bit towards the end . The songs become too slow and not overly imaginative . However both albums are well worth listening to if you can get your hands on them for a reasonable price .... Read review

...In its time it was heralded as a great. In hindsight I suspect we have all been a little scared of the praise it should deserve. This is an excellent album. Tne stone roses at their very best. There is a lot of depth to the sound - layered well - some tracks buiding up others opening with lots of noise in harmony. The stone roses represented a lot of what was coming from Manchester at this time and let's face it the world would be a worse place without this album.... Read review

...This debut album by the all-girl R&B quartet is a quality album with some really complicated harmonies. I bought this album after hearing the hit single ‘No, No, No’ in 1997. When I first heard that track I thought ‘I like this group, they are harmonious, have great voices, and have a good vibe’. I was not disappointed with the album, although it was not what I expected at all. I thought the album would be similar in feel to ‘No, No, No’, but in fact it is a lot more mature and interesting, with a lot of different styles. There are a lot of slower numbers in the album, although I wouldn’t be doing justice if I were to call these songs ballads. Whenever I hear the word ballad, I always run away in horror with images of Celine Dion crooning ‘My Heart Will Go On’! The songs... Read review

...To say Open Your Eyes is a lousy album is a little unfair as it does have certain redeeming features like the wonderful harmonies evident on songs like New State Of Mind and the title track. There is also the fact that the musicianship is flawless, occasionally fairly complex and on the very odd occasion bordering on magnificent. Finally, in the case for the defence, you have to consider the new age inspired hidden track at the end of the album which manages to piece together threads of lyrics and harmonies from the previous songs and puts stock in the album's credibility up a couple of points at least. Unfortunately the bland and overly commercial pieces on the album really drag it down. Man In The Moon for example fills you with a real desire to destroy not only the cd but your cd player, so there is no danger of ever hearing... Read review

Advantages: New style Radiohead
Disadvantages: needs listening to a couple of times

...Kid A is not easy on non-Radiohead fans, but it has some breathtaking tracks that make it a worthwhile buy for fans and newcomers alike. In this new project the band have assembled an eclectic range of lyics, harmonies, sounds and themes - which come together to form a really excellent new album. There are the familiar haunting, soul searching, difficult and sometimes depressingly melodramatic lyrics but they are mixed with a fresh new approach and some very innovative electronic sounds that feel like ‘natural sounds’. The vocals in "Everything in Its Right Place" and electronic beats and harmonies in "Treefingers" and "Idioteque are simply brilliant. The title track “Kid A” is pure vintage Radiohead but my favourite track has to be “Morning Bell”. If you’re unsure, new to the band then rent the album from a record library or loan... Read review

Disadvantages: Difficult to understand what this guy is on about.

...Yet another of the Bone-Thugs and Harmony crew with a solo album. Rapping about the same old things. However this time there are a few tracks that can be understood, but otherwise most of the tracks make you wonder, "what is this dude talking about?" Even the hardest of hardcore rap fans my find the lyrics difficult to understand although there are some good melodies. If you're into "green 'tings" then you may find this album is for you. But, for those of you that want to listen to something else other than drugs and how this rapper rules the world, then this is not for you. Also, is that Stevie Wonder on the front cover?...
