...If I saw Harold and Maude today for the first time would it have a chance to make it on my top 5 favorite films of all-time? Probably. It is after all a flawed film, a film which is dated and very much a product of its times. I won't hesitate to call it a work or art, but I'm not sure I can quite call it a masterpiece unless I quickly add flawed to that. Of course I did see a lot of Harold and Maude in the more recent destined to be a cult classic Rushmore. Regardless, I long ago placed Harold and Maude on a very high pedestal. It's part of an exclusive club of special films that I have watched and enjoyed dozens of times. ...Such is the cultural impact of Cheech & Chong that it is near impossible to begin a review of Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle without referencing them. The fact I’ve never seen a Cheech & Chong film is rather redundant. It’s not necessary to see one to know that Harold & Kumar cover much the same ground. That a new generation of stoner film has been inevitable for a while now (Jay & Silent Bob would be the last major ones), but what is surprising is just how entertaining Harold & Kumar are. Let’s get this clear now: This film will not win any awards. It should, by all rights, be slaughtered by critics (that it wasn’t in the US is a mystery to me). Advantages: A really funny movie
Disadvantages: A bit silly and OTT

...their attack of the munchies. Not your usual stoners maybe - ones a Korean American investment banker played by Amerian Pies John Cho; the other an Indian American med-school candidate played by Van Wilders Kal Penn, but that only adds to the humour. This movie has been likened to Dude Where's My Car and I can see why. All sorts of humour -from slapstick to quite crude - mean I'm sure it'll appeal to virtually anyone unless "silly" films are not your thing. I think the funniest thing is everyone I've spoken to about this film can equate to it somehow and could almost feel Harold & Kumar's pain as one thing after another seems to make their Munchies-Holy Grail slip further and further away! ...The Pavilion Of Dreams was Californian pianist / composer Harold Budd's 1978 recording debut. Using unusual combinations of musicians in small chamber groups he crafted some beautiful pieces of music for this Brian Eno produced album. The first track "Bismillahi 'Rrahman 'Rrahim" is a lengthy meditative work which showcases jazzman Marion Brown's gorgeous sax playing. The combination of the gentle piano, the vibes and the sultry ultra laid back sax works amazingly well and the result is twenty minutes of bliss. This is chill out music long before the term was invented. The rest of the album doesn't quite live up to the delicacy of the opening track but it's not far off. No-one else was scoring Madrigals in 1978 and the two pieces here are delightful - light and airy and full of life. Budd was intentionally writing 'pretty music... Read review

In Scotland it is known as Lloyds TSB Scotland. It also owns Cheltenham and Gloucester, Scottish Widows, and Black Horse. This is an example of a monster of a bank who are extremely good to you if you are paying the staff wages, but when you get into difficulties they seem to heavily crush you. Mind you it is not fair to say Lloyds are alone in this, all the financial institutions operate this way. But Lloyds in my experience are relatively good in some departments but poor in others. Advantages: Cheap, Lovely Setting, Comfortable Surroundings, Good Food & Atmosphere!

...Being a student (cheap, obviously hard working and out for those bargains!) I often find myself drawn to drinking establishments in true student fashion. Now as funds can be rather limited, especially as it draws nearer to the end of term, one has to go where one can sample cheap drinks and where better than Lloyds! I typically visit this particular Lloyds about once a week, sometimes for dinner but mostly just for pre-clubbing drinks! ~ Location ~ The Printworks is located in Manchester just a 5 minute walk from Victoria Train Station and about 10 minutes from Piccadilly, therefore occupying a central position in the heart of Manchester. ...THEY REFUSE TO CALL ME RATHER THAN WRITING. This is an ongoing complaint which has reached farcical proportions, so I have been sending my complaint until Lloyds resolve it TO MY SATISFACTION, because I'm tired of repeating myself and getting template responses. I transferred funds (£975) from my HSBC account (under my name, Mr ** *******) to my friend who banks with Lloyds TSB, Mr ****** * ****** (Account No: ********, Sort Code: ********). When I sent this, Mr ****** had mistakenly given me the digits ** instead of ** at the end of his sort code. So, the money didn't show up in his account. After many calls and emails from myself and Mr ****** to HSBC and Lloyds TSB, we were informed that a trace had been put on the payment and that letters had been written to Lloyds TSB requesting a cheque for the money which was "in a holding... ..."Rotten Apple" is Lloyd Banks 2nd official album and a follow up to his 1st album and a follow up from his 1st album "Hunger For More" i recommend his to any hip hop fan, if you like Lloyd Banks this album is deffinatly for you. This is simply Lloyd Banks at his best he lyricaly proves he is a rapper of real quality. The album includes hit singles "Hands up", "My House", and "Cake" featuring 50 Cent. ...I would like to begin by pointing out that I have had a Lloyds account since 14/11/1996; opened when I was 14 with the princely sum of £5. In all that time, I’ve mostly been very satisfied. What's more, the bank has merged with TSB, offering more cashpoints, introduced internet banking, etc, etc. When I first opened the account, it was a special account for young people, known as a ‘Headway’ account and paying between 1% and 2.15 % interest (depending on how much was in it). After my 16th birthday, it automatically transferred to another account (simply called ‘bank account’ on my statements) and earned 4% interest if above £250 but only 0.3% for amounts below that! ...If anyone should be considering changing their account details to Lloyds TSB, then I strongly recommend you think again. It was approximately 7 months ago when after 4 years with Abbey National, I decided, that the rewards might be much more satisfying if I were to transfer my account to a “proper” bank, rather than keep using a building society, with my savings happy enough in Abbey Nat, I proceeded to open a current account that I hoped would be more suitable, pay me a bit more interest, and have a better structure for me! I had my current account with Abbey nat for 3 years, and they still refused to update my Visa Electron card, (which any 16 year old can be found carrying around) for an actual real Visa debit card.
