Disadvantages: maybe slightlty dated, but still fun

...~~ High Society~~ I have although, slowly been going through my collection of musicals, they needed an airing, some are still unopened. I am a bit naughty I buy these movies with the intentions of sitting down to watch them, but life takes over and the moment has gone, they end up being filed to watch one day. So my film for this month is High Society, which is a comedy musical that opened at the Pantages Theatre, Hollywood on 1st August 1956. The film boasted nominations for Best Song and Best score at the 1956 Oscars. High Society was the musical version of Philip Barry's comedy play The Philadelphia Story, which was in its day one of MGM's greatest comedies and starred Hollywood greats Katherine Hepburn, Cary Grant and James Stewart. Advantages: Ben Elton is a genius...
Disadvantages: Never want to put his books down...time consuming!

Advantages: Easy to read
Disadvantages: A little dull at times

...When I personally think of the name Ben Elton, my mind instantly conjures up an incredibly funny and intuitive individual, of less than average height and a tendency to spit when delivering his punchlines. Ben Elton used to be, in my opinion, on the cutting edge of humour and was never afraid to over-step boundaries and cruise a little too close to the wind with his opinions. That was, until he moved into writing books - now, don't get me wrong, I have never had cause for any complaint after reading his stories - they have always proved to be enjoyable, if not throw-awayable, but somehow they seem to lack the punch of his earlier days. The same follows with the novel High Society. This is a story centred around the legalisation of all drugs and the effect that drugs have on today's society, in their current illegal status. Disadvantages: Local area is a bit grubby, hotel is very obviously a chain and is bland in places

...Ah, Philadelphia – I don’t think that any visit to the East Coast would be complete without a trip to the vibrant “City of Brotherly Love”. On my recent trip, I spent 2 days in Philly and chose this hotel mainly because of its convenient location and Sheraton’s status as a reputable chain. ~~LOCATION AND DETAILS~~ With 365 rooms, the Sheraton Society Hill is a medium to large chain hotel at the edge of Philadelphia city centre. It’s located (unsurprisingly) on Society Hill, a fairly traditional part of Philadelphia near to the Delaware River docks. The actual street the hotel is situated on is cobbled and quite nice, plus it is a convenient location to get to the main city centre, which is about 5 blocks/20 minutes walk away. Disadvantages: CAN BE A BIT EXPENSIVE

...through the year with any deals on, or new books added. with this catalogue you can cut out and post back an order form slip, with two options of payment...cheque, or transfer. the postage costs are good. £3.95 for up to three books and £4.95 for an order of more. i've found the courier service very good. and the books have always been well packaged. WHATS GOOD ABOUT THE FOLIO SOCIETY Everthing from the illustrations, the typography, the binding and printing materials are very high quality, with each book cover personally designed, and in many cases, replica fascimille of the original first editions. The books come with matching cardboard dust cases that slip over the book, protecting it from dust, whilst still revealing the spine. ...As a loyal Portman Building Society Customer I was a little sceptical as to what to expect when they were bought out by Nationwide Building Society. Nationwide claim they are "Proud to be different", and they certainly are. Although they supply a large number of high interest savings accounts, fixed rate ISA's at a whopping 6.15 percent and great value deals on mortgages I noticed a couple of downfalls as well. With specialised savings accounts customers are normally issued a passbook to track their investment records. Nationwide's Passbook is dark blue in complexion with the Nationwide logo emblazoned on the front in gold. The pages inside in my opinion are not of very good quality especially compared to the offerings of the Yorkshire Building Society and Britannia.
