Minto Place Suite Hotel Ottawa Canada
Review of Minto Place Suite, Ottawa by  kassurvey

Advantages: A Suite of Rooms to spread out in without an exhorbitant price tag
Disadvantages: None

.... Sometimes it is fun to eat in the room but there is always the option of the restaurant and shops which can be found within the complex. We also love the fact that you are conveniently situated for all the sightseeing that downtown Ottawa has to offer. Canada is a fantastic holiday destination and you can feel assured of a welcome and comfortable stay at the Minto.... Read review

Great hotel if you can tolerate the smoke.
Review of Capital Hill Hotel & Suites, Ottawa by  davekaren

Advantages: Location, size of rooms.
Disadvantages: Smokiness

...8 of us stayed at the Capital Hill Hotel+Suites in Sept 2006. If location is what you want, then this is a winner-the hotel is as centrally located as you are going to get, plus the bus from the Train Station stops outside. A few minutes walk south down elgin street is the popular bars/pubs area popular with the Ottawa University students. To the other side of the hotel was the historical/government buildings, and sightseeing tours. The main eating+drinking area (Murray St and around) was about 4-5mins The outside of the hotel is a little shabby apart from the entrance area, but the reception area is very nicely presented and welcoming. Theres a small shop in the entrance which sells souveniers and selected food items (good for breakfast if you dont want to eat the hotels breakfast). Theres also a comedy club in the basement... Holiday Inn Express Nashville Downtown
Review of Holiday Inn Express Nashville Downtown, Nashville by  Maestrolover

Advantages: Value for money, good facilities, near "Music City" centre
Disadvantages: Bus ride to malls if you're there for the shopping

...I was in Nashville for a classical music conference attended by more than 1000 delegates, so I was surprised that this Holiday Inn - one of the overflow hotels was listed as being only 2 star. I needn't have worried. It proved to be a more than adequate base for my stay and had some great plus points which to me puts it more in the 3 star level as far as we Brits grade hotels. I paid about £70 a night booked direct. The room was typical Holiday Inn Express, no frills, clean, basic furnishings, but with huge US tv and very comfy king size bed (better than in British Holiday Inns in my experience) usual things like hairdryer, ironing board, coffee/tea + kettle, free newspaper all OK. Plus point was the extras in the bathroom: shampoo, conditioner, body cream etc which were replenished several times during my stay (note we don't get... Read review

Holiday Inn Reading - Great Hotel
Review of Holiday Inn, Reading by  pottmar

Advantages: Spacious well equiped room, fantasic food, great service
Disadvantages: Restaurant too big for romantic meal

...to get out, it is much easier if you remember when you check out rather that have to go back. All in all we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this wonderful hotel, we didn’t have the time to enjoy the swimming pool, sauna or fitness centre, and no need to use the business suite with phone, fax, internet access etc so I can’t comment on these features, but I do know that I want to go back at some time in the future. For those of you who want to know more here are the facts and figures. The hotel I have written about is: Holiday Inn Reading, Caversham Bridge, Richfield Avenue, Reading, RG1 8BD, ENGLAND. The phone number is 0118 925 9988 And Fax Number is 0118 939 1665 Directions are easy, find your own way to M4 (It is on all the maps) and leave at Juction 10 (A329M) follow the signs to Reading (A4... Confusion and Illusion at Holiday Inn
Review of Holiday Inn Hotel, New York JFK Airport by  From_The_Continent

Advantages: cheap at first glance
Disadvantages: not really cheap, overall insufficient product & service quality

...Some writers have commended the Holiday Inn for its excellent service at very reasonable prices. A look behind the scenes of the brand policy, products and pricing shows however a very different picture. Holiday Inn is in fact often more expensive than the competition and provides a low degree of service for the price. The problem with the perception of HI is that most people only know their lowprice HI Express chain and have little to say about HI's other brands and products. All five opinions posted on HI before mine only discuss the merits of HI Express, but that's just one of four HI brands. That's also Ciao's mistake, they should have created a category for each brand/chain separately. The Holiday Inn Group consists of four brands of Hotels: ~ the classic Holiday Inn Hotels, 4-5 Stars ~ the upmarket Holiday Inn Crown Plaza... Read review

1 of the best Holiday inn hotels
Review of Holiday Inn Leeds, Brighouse by  emmachef

Advantages: I work there and right next to the motorway
Disadvantages: No lift to second floor

...I work for this hotel but I've also stayed here on my wedding night so you might think I'm being over generous with the scoring but I've stayed in alot of Holiday inn hotels and I can tell you this is the best so far. If you need a hotel in a good location with easy access to the motorway then this is the hotel for you. Just off the M62, junction 25 going towards Brighouse. It sits on a hill with gorgeous surroundings, its a great location for weddings. It was built in 1989. The car park is free for Hotel residents and guests using other facilities like the spirit club, bar area or restaurant. The car park has CCTV and can hold up to 220 cars on three levels and on the top level it has dedicated easy access car parking for blue badge holders only. The hotel has 94 excellent rooms in total with a choice of standard, double... Read review

A Review of the Holiday Inn Express Glasgow
Review of Holiday Inn Express (Glasgow) by  freelancer1

Advantages: Location is perfect for shopping, eating out and going to the movies.
Disadvantages: Traffic noise.

...I went to the Holiday Inn Express (Glasgow) on a short city break from my home in Aberdeen - it turned out to be a pretty good decision... Holiday Inn Express (Glasgow) - Right in the Heart of the City Visitors to Glasgow will find this the perfect base from which to see the sights. It is next to the Buchanan Galleries shopping centre and virtually next door to the huge 7 floor UGC cinema. (This gets very busy in the evenings, so I would advise placing a booking earlier in the day.) The Burrell Collection is within walking distance. It's especially handy for a short city break when you don't have much time to travel from the hotel into the city centre. There is, however, less easy access to new visitor attractions... Holiday Inn a Refrigerator
Review of Holiday Inn Express, Stoke-on-Trent by  CareBear

Advantages: Reasonably priced, well appointed hotel. Convenient Location
Disadvantages: Poor staff communication and complaint handling

...And so it came to pass that I found myself in need of a room to stay in the environs of Alton Towers so that I could go to the Ciao meet. The suggestion had been made that we all try to book ourselves in to the Holiday Inn, Stoke on Trent since there were various deals available and, more importantly, rooms! My perception of the Holiday Inn chain was fairly good. Utilitarian 24/7 hotels sprung to mind. A quick check on Lastminute.com confirmed that I could chose between a family room or a double room at a cost of £58 per room per night. Liking my space I promptly booked a family room, printed off the confirmation and forgot about the whole thing. The week before the Ciao meet, it became obvious that my husband (BestBit) would not be able to get the Friday off work and so we were going to arrive in Stoke quite late. No problem I... Great cheap hotel for breaks & business
Review of Member Advice on Chain Hotels: Express by Holiday Inn by  Fantasyman

Advantages: Clean, Cheap,
Disadvantages: Few facilities

...I have stayed in Holiday Inn Express hotels on several occasions. The best place to book is via their website (www.hiexpress.co.uk), as this guarantees the lowest prices. Prices vary, but outside of London rooms cost less than £50 for a couple. Prices in London are slightly higher. Prices vary depending on location and time of year. The hotels are relatively basic looking. You are not paying for elaborate reception areas, swimming pools or a gym. Instead what you get is a good sized room with en suite bathroom. You get tea and coffee making facilities, together with a TV. The TV has a few Sky channels, but these are mostly news channels. There is also a range of pay per view movies available, although half of these seem to be pornographic in nature. The rooms are large enough, very clean and I have found the beds to be very firm... I wouldn't want a "Holiday Inn" this hotel
Review of Holiday Inn Paris-St. Germain Des Pres, Paris by  koshkha

Advantages: Good location
Disadvantages: dull, dull, dull - and not cheap either

...This hotel has been listed on Ciao for more than two years without anyone writing about it and I'm not actually all that surprised. Writing a review of a really good hotel is easy and writing one about an awful hotel is fun. But how about hotels that are just a bit blurgh - not great, not awful? Is it actually possible to write an interesting review of an uninteresting hotel? I'm still not sure about that. If you find it a bit dull, please go and read one of my other hotel reviews - they'll probably be more interesting but Ciao needs the good and the bad as well as the mediocre. Sitting in my room at the Holiday Inn in Paris St Germain de Pres I couldn't help but reflect that the designers drew heavily from that area of the colour palette best characterised by the term 'nicotine'. Not a popular colour card at the 'mix your own Dulux... Read review
