...My husband and I recently took a 2 night city break at the City Hotel, Lubljana (May to be exact). To be honest I was a little nervous and not too sure about what to expect by way of quality and standards. I was pleasantly surprised. The City Hotel is a modern , bright hotel in a character building. It has every convenience I could require, sat t.v., internet connection, in-house bars, restaurants and cafes. For a short break it's location was great. You could walk to wherever you want to go in the city. I'd been prepared to have to take taxis, having stayed at Hotels before that claim to be 'centrally located' , but there is definately no other way to describe the location of this hotel. I have to admit that we didn't make use of the inhouse dining facilities, prefering to eat locally in town, but the menu was international and looked... Read review

...This hotel has got to be one of the best kept secrets when it comes to staying in Vienna. The city is so compact that it is easy to explore on foot and the family run Hotel Post is one of the most economic places to stay in the central Ring area of Vienna. You are less than 10 minutes walk from the Stefansdom, Kaerntnerstrasse and the Graben and there's a subway (U-Bahn) station - Schwedenplatz about 3 minutes from the hotel, as well as stops for numerous different tram-lines. So everything is within easy reach for tourists wanting to fit in as much as possible during their visit. The Hotel Post is an older style of hotel and perhaps not as luxurious as some of the more modern hotels in the city, however, rooms are spotlessly clean, large, with usual features and more than good value for the price. ...This is the largest hotel in the city of Gothenburg. Don't expect a hotel the size of the Waldorf Astoria in New York or the Bellagio in Las Vegas. It's a little more compact than that, however, it is a wonderful hotel that I would recommend to anyone visiting Gothenburg. The hotel is in a nice area of the city and there is a theme park practically on your doorstep. The hotel is easily identifiable from most parts of the city with its two towers. As you enter the hotel it is clear that you have paid for a little bit of class. The lobby is huge and the greeting you receive from your hosts will leave a very good impression. The people at Gothia Towers are well trained to be very helpful and they execute the hotel ethos with aplomb. And I am not just referring to the reception staff. ...The Thistle Birmingham City Hotel is situated a few miles away from Birmingham International Airport, easily accessible from the major motorway network and close to New Street Station. I stayed at the hotel for 8weeks on a business trip and really enjoyed my stay there. The rooms are very clean, its well maintained. Staff very friendly and helpful. During Christmas time there are loads of parties and the in house guests have no flexibility in the food timings which was a major draw back. Food was very good and so is the bar always well stocked! You can have a short walk for your shopping to the City
