HOTEL IMPERO, ROME - GREAT BASE TO EXPLORE
Review of Hotel Impero, Rome by  traveller10

Advantages: LOCATION
Disadvantages: Bar shuts too early

...Hi and thankyou for your interest in my review. I have worked in the Travel industry for over 20 years now and thought It would be nice to share my experiences and thoughts. I do hope this review is helpful and would appreciate a rating at the end. Well then lets get started. *********COST********** This is always my favourite place to start !!!! Well this hotel is in my opinion an average cost for a 3* hotel inRome at about £105 per room per night including breakfast. I know you can definately get cheaper priced hotels but I was happy with this cost for what you get (all will be revealed). *************LOCATION************ I have to say that the Hotel Impero is in a super location, in a lovely leafy area. I would best descibe the location as right in the centre of the historical art city of Rome, overlooking the Roman Opera... Read review

Excellent Central Rome Hotel
Review of Valle Hotel, Rome by  pigeon1986

Advantages: Central, cheap, clean,
Disadvantages: holiday was too short!!

...Recently, me and my girlfriend visited Rome. As we were only in Rome for 4 nights we wanted somewhere central so we could see all the sights and do all the touristy bits. We eventually decided on Valle hotel and we are glad we did. ::: Why the Valle Hotel? ::: There are a number of reasons why we chose Valle. The first was that it was central, about 5minutes walk from the main train station (Stazione Termini) from there you can catch a bus to anywhere in the city, or get the metro or a train to other local towns or further afield if you wish. ::: The Hotel::: It is a relatively small hotel with only 40 rooms. There is a welcoming foyer, with a reception desk manned 24/7. There is also a little bar. The rooms are fairly modern, comfortable and very pleasant. All rooms are en-suite. The rooms were clean and inviting. All... Read review

Central and Ideally Placed, Hotel Roma Reial
Review of Roma Reial Hotel, Barcelona by  Andy.mack

Advantages: Perfect location, excellent Hotel if you just want somewhere to sleep
Disadvantages: A little hard to find, nothing really major though, Breakfast could have been more substantial

...Having decided over Christmas that I fancied a trip to Barcelona again I got onto the Ryanair website and started booking up. Having been to Barcelona a few years ago and staying well outside the main centre I decided that this time I wanted something quite central but also at a budget price. After all there was no way I could have afforded one of the posh 5 star hotels. So with those thoughts in mind I trawled all sorts of internet sites and ended up back on the hotel section of the Ryanair site. I had a couple of choices around the Station and dotted over the city but decided that Roma Reial fitted the bill better than any of the others. It's located just off Las Ramblas, the main street in Barcelona where a lot of the cities drinking establishments are located. The Roma Reial is located in the Placa Reial about 200 meters from... Hotel Daniela di Roma
Review of Hotel Daniela, Rome by  Chimkuyu

Advantages: Nothing really shone through
Disadvantages: Awful beds, not great location, no added value

...We spent the last weekend of February in Rome, arriving on Friday afternoon and leaving on Sunday night. Our hotel was booked on www.expedia.co.uk and I selected it based on recommendations from the website. This was our fist visit to Rome (simply fantastic) and we were lucky to have timed it for the last weekend of the month – meaning that on the Sunday a number of attractions were free to enter, most notably Vatican City, including the Sistine Chapel and Saint Peter’s Basilica. The hotel is located just out of walking distance of the centre of the city and so public transport, taxis or a hired car is a necessity for anyone staying there. It is in walking distance from two different Underground stations, both on Line A – Vittorio Emmanuel and Manzino. I’m sure there are bus routes nearby but we didn’t take the bus to and from... Excellent hotel north of Rome
Review of River Chateau Hotel, Rome by  Garth87

Advantages: Exceptional service; large, high quality rooms; good value for money
Disadvantages: Poor location

...Having booked what we thought was a three star hotel (it turned out to be four) over the internet, we didn't quite know what to expect when arriving in Rome. After landing at the airport, we look a metro as far north as we could and attempted somewaht unseuccessfully to work out the bus system. My girlfriend and I eventually gave up, hailed a taxi and asked for our hotel. The taxi driver had to check our map to see where it was (!) but then seemed satisfied. twenty minutes later we were still in the taxi and had just turned onto a motorway. Another few minutes passed before the driver pulled over and asked to see our map again. It took another 5-10minutes to get back across to where our hotel was, though the driver gave us a fairly substantial discount of the meter price. We were thus not in the best mood arriving... Abitart Hotel, Rome, Italy
Review of Abitart Hotel, Rome by  Lyn1954

Advantages: Good position, nice rooms, good breakfast.
Disadvantages: Expensive

...I stayed at this Hotel a couple 2 years ago for 3 nights. When the taxi pulled up outside the Hotel I was rather disappointed, the first impression wasn't too good, it looked small. The Hotel is in the Ostiense - Testaccio area of Rome, and I had chosen it for this, it is near to the Metro (Pyramide - about 10 mins walk from the Hotel) and there is also the local bus which stops nearer to the Hotel. The rooms are really clean and comfortable, my room was a very calming shade of beige and white with silver fitting, all very smart and modern, and as I say comfortable with air-conditioning. The staff were reasonably friendly, and I did have problems with my door card which they changed immediately with a new one. The breakfast was very good, I did come down to breakfast early each day at about 8.00am, so there was plenty of food... Read review

Best Western Hotel Piccadilly Rome
Review of Hotel Piccadilly, Rome by  kateschweizer

Advantages: Clean, friendly, good location, good value
Disadvantages: None - perhaps not luxurious enough for some

...Have just come back from 3 nights at this hotel. The room was quite large with a 6ft bed and all the facilities that you may want. Had a big mirror, wardrobe, safe box, minibar, telephone, flatscreen tv, and lots of surfaces. It had an ensuite which again was perfectly clean and roomy - more than sufficient. There was nothing luxurious about the room, but it was plenty big enough, had all the facilities we wanted, was clean and well-kept, and generally of a very good standard. The breakfast is included in the price - the food wasn't top quality but plenty good enough. They provide a good range of food and teas and coffees. It is served in a dining room that overlooks the city, and it is done nicely, with small tables, and decorated with lots of flowers. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and even helped to tape my broken... Read review

Hotel Villa Patrizi, Rome
Review of Villa Patrizi, Rome by  lilyellowfish

Advantages: Good location, good value for money, polite staff
Disadvantages: Small rooms

...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Why we chose the hotel ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My boyfriend and I decided to take a weekend city break in Rome, we were joined by his parents who travelled seperately. We looked on Expedia for a good deal and we found one with reasonable BA flights and 3 nights stay at Hotel Villa Patrizi. We looked at the information and pictures of the hotel on the internet and it looked good so we decided to book it. Now we have been to the hotel, and looking back at the pictures, they are true to life and do not decieve you in anyway that the hotel looks different to what it does. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ About the hotel ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hotel Villa Patrizi is a brand new 4 star hotel located in Rome. As you walk into the hotel there is a pretty sitting area full of beautiful, lively and colourful flowers. If the weather was nicer... Read review

When In Rome...
Review of Cicerone Hotel, Rome by  baby_uk

Advantages: Fantastic location, brilliant service, immaculate
Disadvantages: It is pricey, but then, Rome is generally pricey

...Recently the boyfriend and I decided, continuing with our resolution from last year to travel more, that we needed a little break, so we scoured the website for some cheap flights and plumped on Rome as the destination. Next task, find a hotel. We were only going out for four days so we needed somewhere central which would be convenient for getting to all the sights and, hopefully, not too expensive. Neither of us had been to Rome before, so we had no idea of the best area to stay in, what the standards would be like, the cost; we were clueless! So with the help of the boyfriend's parents, who are travel agents and have also been to Rome before, we were recommended to stay at Hotel Cicerone . Hotel Cicerone is a 4* hotel with 292 rooms located a 5 minute walk from Lepanto metro station, on via Cicerone. We had flown into Rome... Read review

When in Rome...
Review of King Hotel, Rome by  phoenixgreen

Advantages: Fantastic for quality service, price, and location
Disadvantages: You'll want to stay longer and you'll want to go back!

...A couple of years ago I was lucky enough to head out to Rome for a 3 day break with family. Flying Easyjet from Newcastle very early in the morning, we arrived in a warm and sunny Ciampino Airport we could barely believe that the dark and cold December day we had left behind in Newcastle was still the same day in sunny Rome. My Aunty P, who is fluent in Italian, and lived for a long time in Rome, had arranged transport to our Hotel, The Hotel King, right in the heart of the city, and so we bundled ourselves into the large taxi cab, and off we went! For me, it was something of an adventure, as neither myself or my mum, who was also with us, had been to Rome before. I have long been enchanted by the Italian language, and find it the only language I know to *feel* so nice being spoken - there's just a gorgeous sensation as the words... Read review
