...Unless you live in, or as in our case, have some form of business taking you to, the western outskirts of London, you may well be inclined to rate this particular review as Not Helpful. However due to the appealing nature of this particular venue I am going to tell you all about it anyway. It may also be of use for the millions of residents within a ten mile radius of this very densely packed area of our small Isle. Advantages: Near to Central London, but cheaper.
Disadvantages: Everything else.

...We were spending the weekend in London and so I set about finding some accommodation. A search on the internet through various guest house searches came up with the Crompton in Lampton Road, Hounslow. It was ideal for us since it was within the area we wanted to be, plus it had a large enough family room so that we could stay together. We also booked a single room as my mum was coming with us. ***Prices*** These have gone up since our stay but currently they are:- Single Room £35.00 - £90.00 Double Room £45.00 - £90.00 3 or more persons £20 - £30.00 per person Family rooms from £70 per room Booking was done online and all seemed pretty straight forward. ...’s start with the base, London Waterloo. I must admit I really like this station, it feels very cosmopolitan without being modern, there are plenty of facilities, the displays used to be those flapping board things but they decided to replace them with LCD screen which are too small. What about your station? Well if you use one of these suburban stations, chances are it’ll just be 2 platforms and some rusty chairs, an information terminal and an information point (more on these later). There probably won’t even be a ticket machine. The average station, like the one I use (Hounslow), will have a ticket office too, the one in Hounslow is only open in the morning to early afternoon (assuming it’s staffed which is not as often as you would think), I think the average one is open for most of the day.
