Advantages: alot of popular songs from 2005, a good mixture
Disadvantages: quite commercial on the first two CD's

...Love this album, if you went to Ibiza in summer 2005 you would to, or if you just love the music. The main part i like is the seperation of funky house on one CD, chilled house on another and classic house tunes on another. However the CD is quite commerical house tunes, so not for people who like their bit of electro and hard house. Some good classic tunes from that year and an album you don't get bored of. Incluing some tunes from Axwell, Joey negro, and includes the classic songs, 'your body', 'love on my mind', 'feel the vibe' and 'I see girls' from 2005, played frequently in that year, in capones, play 2 and sgt peppers if anyone went to those that year. Where as the chilled out songs are taken more from cafe mambo and cafe del mar in the early hours of sunset or sunrise. A nice CD to add to your collection, packed... Read review

Advantages: extrodinary movie,rising tension throughout, unexpeced twist at the end

...The house of wax 2005 version is an excellently mind-blowing film of this year. Throughout the movie I was left on tenterhooks as to what would happen next, and the originality of the story line was like no other. The cleverness of the whole ' Turning real-life people into wax models for a wax-works museum' was simply extravagant. However, if you are squeemish in any way, this movie is not for you! You get to witness the crazy museum founder pour scolding hot wax onto one of the main characters of the movie, and see him scream in pain whilst the wax sets on him, not able to do anything about it. The whole story of all of the wax models in the museum then reveals the truth........... I actaully found this movie quite grousome, but it was excellent and, i actually found it quite amusing when the famous Paris Hilton died with a metal pole... Read review

Advantages: It's not very long
Disadvantages: It's all been done before and far better, like Paris Hilton

...that generally feature nubile teens in peril. Often they only keep the title and the central conceit of the original, as is the case with "House of Wax". Debut Spanish director Jaume Collet-Serra opts for a by-the-book approach to horror. He avoids real character development in favour of lots of close-ups of his female stars' pneumatic charms and everyone goes to investigate noxious smells and creepy noises. As a result it's very difficult to care about the characters because you immediately feel superior to this bunch of pretty sub-morons. There's a pervasive absence of atmosphere and menace throughout. The stalk-and-slash format is repetitive and though it gives the film a steady pace, it makes for predictable viewing, without any of the inventiveness that occasionally makes a horror movie more than the sum of its parts. ...When a group of college cheerleaders witness the murder of a federal witness, Texas Ranger Roland Sharp is drafted in to protect them until the killer is found. Unfortunately for him that means living with a house full of girls who seem to be from a different planet. It may be a man's world, but Sharp has got to get in touch with his feminine side quick smart before the girlyness drives him insane. Director Stephen Herek's been around a long time and has made a dozen or so films in various genres from horror ("Critters") to comedy ("Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure") and even an inspirational teacher movie ("Mr Holland's Opus"). Advantages: Good TV for baying public
Disadvantages: Character assassination

...Introduction: This year, Big Brother 6 burst onto the small screen on Friday, May 27th 2005. Ironically, I was out of the house watching a play about a woman who has her 15 minutes of fame, so had to tape the opening episode to watch when I got back home! Davina did her best to ralley up the crowd into a frenzy of anticipation as each housemate was introduced prior to entry into house. Entry into the house is through a guarded door and down the interior steps to a golden door. Some housemates knew to push the door, while others seemed to think it was automatic and so just stood there! Needless to say, ten days on, I am hooked into the reality show that has now run for 6 years. If you have not heard of it………….Where have you been?? Channel Four have pushed the boat out again with the house, which has a 1960's retro look... Read review
