Reviews of jelly bean
Not just your average jelly bean.
Review of Jelly-Belly Jelly Beans by
broomari
Advantages: A very wide variety of extremely tasty flavours.
Disadvantages: Expensive compared to the bog standard jelly bean and hard to come by.
...As Christmas was fast approaching, I asked my brother to get me something different for a change.
You see, I am a crazy Tigger fan and he always gets me a new Tigger for my collection at Christmas and I fancied a change, not to mention my bedroom looks like a kids room as I have Tiggers everywhere.
My Christmas present was a bit late but I eventually got it when I went back to Yorkshire to visit my family and by gum it was worth the wait.
He handed me a rather large and quite heavy parcel. When I opened it I was attracted to two large bags of bright, multicoloured Jelly Belly beans.
Although I was kind of disappointed as I don’t like jelly beans, but he assured me that these were different.
He was right…
The packaging
My parcel included the bag of Jelly Belly beans, a reseal plastic bag and a leaflet.
The Jelly...

Gourmet Jelly Beans
Review of Jelly Bean Factory Jelly Beans by
mum2boys82
Advantages: Loads of flavours to choose from
Disadvantages: They don't last long enough
...I would probably say that Jelly Beans are my favourite sweets, saying that I don't eat that many because the best Jelly Beans are the really expensive kind!
In the past I have had Jelly Belly jelly beans where you are given menu cards with the packet of beans so you can eat 3 or 4 jelly beans at the same time to make a different flavour such as pina colada or chocolate and cherry pie, these are nice but when you are paying so much for jelly beans you want to savour each individual bean.
My husband decided the kids should buy me some jelly beans for my birthday but couldn't find any nice boxes when he was looking in town (I did reel off 3 or 4 places he could have tried, but hey it was man shopping, the first shop didn't have them so they no longer exist!). The day of my birthday we traveled to visit my family and stopped...

Jelly beans!
Review of Jelly Bean Factory Jelly Beans by
bendontgamble
Advantages: Lots of flavours / aesthetically pleasing / tasty
Disadvantages: addictive!
...Jelly Bean Factory Jelly Beans remind me of Bertie Botts every flavour beans from Harry potter. In the film, these beans aren't magic beans, but they have magically different flavours, much like these Jelly Bean ones. The main difference been the Harry Potter ones could be earwax flavoured, vomit flavoured, asparagus flavoured which admittedly would not be appealing to me at all for obvious reasons. Your selection will contain some from
--Strawberry
--Majorca Tangerine
--Raspberry
--Granny Smith Apple
--Popcorn
--Pineapple Punch
--Tutti Fruity
--South Seas Kiwi
--Passion Fruit
--Sour Lemon
--English blackberry
--Peachy Pie
--Butterscotch
--Pear Sundae
--Banana Split
--Cola Fizz
--Hawaiian Guava
--Vanilla Ice Cream
--Caribbean Coconut
--Watermelon

These jelly beans are evil...
Review of Jelly Bean Factory Jelly Beans by
drewish
Advantages: Excellent flavours; comes in a 1.4 kg tub!
Disadvantages: Hard to get hold of; quite expensive
...I stumbled upon these jelly beans in a corner shop in Glasgow last summer and was hooked within the space of...um.. 15 minutes or so. Now, to satisfy my craving for these beans I have got to get hold of the 1.4kg tub from an online retailer - I'm not sure if there is an emergency addiction hotline for these things, but there should be.
The packaging shows pictures of all the different coloured beans inside, and descriptions such as 'carribean coconut', 'passion fruit' and 'wild cherry'. And while I am sure that advertsing and marketing types are not beyond hyperbole, the flavours in these beans are really quite something. My personal favourite is the white coconut flavour. Followed by the cherry flavoured one. Followed by.... well, you get the idea.
I'm quite sure 'Dr' Gillian McKeith of 'You Are What You Eat' fame would have...

Jolly Jelly Belly Beans!
Review of Jelly-Belly Jelly Beans by
faders321
Advantages: There's something for everybody
Disadvantages: Some flavours are really gross!
...Jelly Belly Beans!!! Jelly Beans that come in 50 different flavours most of which are listed on the back of the pack for you to identify your sweet to. However you don't get all of the flavours in each pack, quite disappointing but oh well, next time maybe I'll get the ones I missed. The 50 flavours are:
Berry Blue - Not in my packet
Blueberry - These were good
Bubblegum - I thought these were disgusting! But my husband liked them
Buttered Popcorn - Gross
Café Latte - Not in my packet
Cantaloup (Melon) - Delicious
Cappuccino - This one was okay
Caramel Apple - Very Sweet
Caramel Corn - Not in my packet
Chocolate Pudding - Delicious
Cinnamon - Really Nice, tasted like it should
Coconut - Tastes of coconut, yum
Cotton Candy - Sickly
Cream Soda - Gross
Crushed Pineapple - Really Nice!
Cherry Cola - Not in my packet
Grape...

Are these as magical as the beans Jack planted?
Review of Jelly-Belly Jelly Beans by
Amy69
Advantages: Reasonably healthy, wide variety, found in several stores
Disadvantages: Costly, addictive
...Jelly beans are one of those sweets which I could never make my mind up about. Did I like them? I could never decide! But the day I tried my first Jelly-Belly Bean, the answer was clear…!
-----THE BEGINNING-----
Jelly Belly beans are an American sweet, dating all the way back to 1869. Jelly beans were popular sweets for a short while, until the chocolate craze in the early 1900s. But nevertheless, when chocolate became rare during the Second World War, everybody craved other sweets, including the jelly bean.
In 1976, in Los Angeles, the Jelly Belly bean was created, in several new and exciting flavours, as we know them today!
Now, Jelly Belly has explored taste buds all over the world, including settling down in good old Britain!
-----JELLY BELLY BRITAIN-----
Jelly Belly beans are being sold in stores all over Britain now...

Watch you don't get a 'jelly belly'!
Review of Jelly-Belly Jelly Beans by
Fruity_Tart
Advantages: A new twist on jelly beans
Disadvantages: Not widely availably, pricey and NOT JUICY ENOUGH *stamps foot*
...You know what happened today? I've been craving sweets for a couple of days now but have refused to buy any because of my healthy eating regime and today I finally got round to sorting the last couple of bags of the kids Christmas presents out and what do I find? The biggest box of jelly beans I've ever seen. Not just any jelly beans either - Americas Favourite Jelly Bean... Jelly Belly. In all the mess of Christmas wrapping paper and toys this wondrous find got mixed up with the 'upstairs' bags and forgotten about.
But now I've found it. *chuckles manically*
So what are Jelly Belly jelly beans and how do they differ to your bog standard jelly beans? The answer is they're just so different it's like comparing a Ferrero Rocher to a Thorntons Continental, they're both delicious but one's just got 'the edge'. Jelly Belly has...

Technicolour Dream Beans
Review of Jelly-Belly Jelly Beans by
jammy_banana
Advantages: lots of realistic flavours
Disadvantages: expensive, hard to get hold of
...All children love sweets right? All children love all sweets? Wrong. As a child there were few sweets that I was wary of. They included anything to do with liquorice and for some bizarre reason jelly beans. You see I had a bad experience with an inferior brand of jelly bean that took me quite a few years to get over. Thankfully with the love and support of my family (namely my mother who kept on buying my sister and I quality jelly beans for Christmas) I got over this phobia with a new experimental therapy. I call this therapy The Jelly Belly Treatment.
Let’s face it jelly beans are a very American thing. In the grand old days of the British Sweet shop they would have been laughed out of town for being too small and too uniform, too perfect in shape and size. For some reason British sweets have a tendency to be huge irregular...

Tangy, Juicy, Jelly Beans
Review of Starburst Jelly Beans by
Greeney
Advantages: Very sour, tangy and really juicy.
Disadvantages: You may have to share!
...anticipation to get the bag open and get to the goodies, I didn't see this. So I opened it like a packet of crisps which was a bit harder. :o) You don't get any smell coming from the bag, but thats probably because of the shell on the sweet.
Taste and Appearance.
I shall try and contain myself, by tasting each flavour individually, instead of my usual madness of shoving them all in one go. The beans are quite small compared to the traditional jellybeans, but that doesn't make them inadequate. After all, it’s not the size that matters, but what you do with it. Right?
Blackberry - I'm starting with my least favourite flavour. Save the best til last and all that. It has quite a dark purple colour, with the word starburst written in white across the center. Blackberry flavour always reminds me too much of cough sweets and I hate those. Anyway...
