...I am presently on a diet and despairing as to what I can and cannot eat. I am following the diet to the letter, and have dutifully cut out the sugars and fats that are essential to losing weight. But the worst part is when you are between those mini portions of food that are expected to keep you alive. The words snack / crisps / chocolate / chips and god knows what else float into mind……..when the tummy grumbles! Therefore I have had a look around the supermarkets for a good substitute for all those sinful joys. I have tried the Kellogg special K bar, and found it far to gooey and sweet to be able to stomach. So at this stage of the moan, my other half mentioned a particular snack type bar that he used to buy when in the mood. These were Jordans cereal bars. ...Jordans country crisp has an amazing taste. The freeze dried fruit tastes fresh, once it softens in the milk anyway. I have never been one for breakfast until I stayed at my aunts in Ireland. She made me eat cereal and a fry up every morning, I did need fattening up at the time. I was only 15 and a size 6. One morning she gave me country crisp and I have never looked back. ..., the fruit content taking away the healthy but unappetising taste of the cereals. The ingredients of Jordans Natural Muesli, according to the packet was made up of 24% fruit and nut content and 76% cereal content ( Wheat, Oat and Barley flakes). Having poured my small cupful of the packet into a bowl I could only see 2 or 3 raisins, so shifted the contents of the bowl round a bit and found a couple of odd hazlenuts and another half a raisin, lots of cereal flakes though !. Where have all your raisins gone Mr Jordan ? I decided to persevere, added the skimmed milk, left for a couple of minutes for the mik to soak in and ate. I found that the lack of tasty fruit was making the texture very coarse and difficult to swallow, it really wasn' t very pleasant. I finished the bowl, not really looking forward to the remainder of the packet... Read review

...I have a health problem with wheat based food so at breakfast time, I used to have a real dilemma when I opened my eyes in the morning - you know that time for breakfast lovers when they only have… food on their minds.
