...This is the self-named album Kal by Kal! Kal are a Serbian band from the small village of Valjevo but are now based in Belgrade, they fuse traditional roma music with a very slight amount of pop/crooning, they are one of very few Serbian artists that still play Balkan music in the traditional sense as Serbian music is these days liittered with keyboards in general. Kal (Romani for black) were once described by a BBC journalist in Leicester as "the coolest band in the world", whilst nothing from someone from Leicester should be taken to seriously (they still think Gary Lineker is cool), he's almost spot on in this case. Advantages: Funny, sad, wonderfully filmed, downright beautiful
Disadvantages: Cringed at songs first, but it immediately grew on me

Advantages: Good story, solid performances, excellent soundtrack and well written script
Disadvantages: Long and too many crying scenes towards the end

...Everyone knows the stereotypical Bollywood movie: glamorous foreign locations, girls in skimpy outfits, cheesy item numbers, and a ridiculous plot that is impossible to take seriously. Happily though, Kal Ho Naa Ho (KHNH) manages to stay faithful to time honored elements of the Bollywood tradition while at the same time achieving funny dialogue, a stellar soundtrack, and overall decent performances. The Bollywood musical has just gotten a makeover, and the results couldn't be more pleasing to the audience. Advantages: a real feel good film with excellent songs and great acting
Disadvantages: a bit of a tear-jerker and at nearly 3 hours it's quite lengthy to sit through

I watched Kal Ho Na Ho (If Tomorrow Never Comes) for the first time recently and though it was released some time ago I felt I had to review it as I really enjoyed the film (even though it was a real weepie in some parts).
