...It was very easy to book a luxury hotel in London on this site. They have more than 100 hotels that you can view and book online ranging from Best Western, Comfort Inn, Hilton, Express by Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn and also many independently owned budget hotels. They offer accommodation in Central London ranging from low-cost privately owned guest houses to five star global chains. Most are located close to major London attractions like the Covent Garden theatres, Madame Tussauds, Tower of London and are perfectly situated near Oxford Street, Harrods, Knightsbridge and Kensington for shopping. The rates are much below published rack rates and include local taxes, service and breakfast. Advantages: Good Locations, Stylish Hotels

...I have stayed at the Millenium Baileys Hotel in Kensington, London a few times, courtesey of offers on www.lastminute.com The hotel is 4*** and in a prime location in Kensington, directly opposite Gloucester Road tube station. The outside and entrance to the hotel are very grand, maintaining many original features, but including the luxury of up to date facilities. The hotel also offers the following facilities:- Parking at extra cost Night porter Air-conditioning Babysitting Safety deposit box Non-smoking rooms Conference facilities Extra touches such as free newspapers and fresh fruit for guests also make the hotel more appealing and homely. Although I did not eat at the restaurant, it has a good reputation, offering a choice of cuisine, ranging from Chinese and Indian to Italian. It was a little pricey for the budget... Read review

Advantages: London on your doorstep

...I stay in this hotel 4 times a year and can highly recommend it. Although it is a holiday inn, it is relatively small and in a lovely old building. It has a very appealing garden terrace which backs on to the grounds of a nearby convent and it is very pleasant and peaceful to sit outside. The rooms are of a very nice standard - I have stayed in most types, from standard to the duplex suite and find the executive rooms to be the most comfartable. When booking, definitely request one facing the garden to the back - they are much quieter. The staff here are very friendly and always remember me which I think is nice, considering how many people pass through their doors. The food is good enough and the bar is comfortable. The hotel is just opposite gloucester road tube station and very near earls court and olympia. Great for shopping, great... Read review

...'d forgot to take on my 4 day visit!! The down side, well I can't really find one, only thing I could moan about was the location but being in London a tube ride will get you anywhere! The staff were very friendly, even recieved a phone call to make sure everything was ok in my room. The bar and meals were reasonably priced and were ok - not the finest of meals but I prefer to eat outside of the hotel anyway. This hotel is ideal for a short stay with not much luggage. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel to couples, business people not a family hotel.... Read review

...I have just started using Wotif.com after a friend recommended it. He had just been to stay at the St Andrews Golf course 5* Hotel and not only got a discount but it included a round of golf, breakfast and access to all the spa and fitness facilities ! That is where the real value can be found, when you float the mouse over a room price not only is the price discounted (I recently booked one in London with a 70% discount) but a small box appears telling you what is included. Advantages: A big hotel boasting spa facilities
Disadvantages: small rooms, not a great breakfast

...I stayed at this hotel when i was on a school trip. The hotel is situated close to a street of shops, yet surrounded by buildings, leaving not much view. The rooms were ample sized, yet not very big. Many would say it was too small. The bathroom was clean and pleasant. The beds also weren't very comfortable. The breakfast in my opinion was horrible. Ive seen much better breakfasts. It was unclean and not very good selection. The hotel was big allowing plenty of space to sit comfortably and relax. There was also a bar and spa facilities yet i didnt get the chance to use them - but they did look like!! The hotel had internet facilities which was good as not many hotels ive stayed at have. It also had a shop with sweets and gifts in, which was quite nice. Overall i wouldnt really stay here again but on a cheap budget for anyone... Read review

...My fiancé and i stayed here in January 2006 as part of a theatre break in London. The location of the hotel is nice, just a 2 minute walk from High Street Ken and the gardens, although the initial impression of the hotel isnt great as it looks very 80s american! I think it would have been a very grand entrace at one time but the outside could do with a refurb now. Inside, the hotel is huge, with lots of bars and seating areas with comfy chairs, and some nice prints on the wall. as the place is massive the staff are very well orgnaised and despite queues to check in we were quickly dealt with. Our room was tiny!!!!very clean, etc, but really, really small! im pretty sure the bed wasnt a full size double, and one side was up against the window so we both had to slide in the same side! ...cupboard doors have a leatherette cladding, the ones on our corridor were very obviously peeling away from the doors and looked tatty. Our room door stuck and had to be slammed shut. The bathroom extractor fan did not work hence the peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling. Glazing was poor with lots of street noise able to come into the room. Lumpy pillows. Good bits. The breakfast was wholesome and fresh, the pork and leek sausages were lovely. The resaurant although looked clean felt sterile with no atmosphere. Maid service was good. Nice clean towels. Good location right opposite Kensington Palace and just along form Hyde Park. 15 minutes walk from Harrods and Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge. 2 minutes walk from Kensington High Street and Tube Station.... ...with broken windows on a freezing cold January night. Transport in London is paid for by Oyster card credits these deduct monies from your balance when you get on or off a bus or tube fares vary but a one day pass is £3 for the bus and £5 for the tube. Taxi's also work in Central Areas at about £3 per mile Mini cabs can be taken out side central London how ever they are often driven by people whom do not know the way around and people and whom have been in prison so want to rob you for a fix. London is famous for its amenities; parks are every where, some very big Hyde Park and Regent's the best all have toilets and café facilities. Museums are free most in South Kensington are giant and can take hours to look around. Art galleries are free as well the National Gallery next door to it is the National Portrait gallery.
