...I have just bought a bottle of Sun out of curiosity. I love clean, powdery, smells and I heard that this one receives a lot of compliments from those who wear it. On first application it has quite a soft sweet citrus kind of smell but this soon fades and the lingering smell is similar to sun lotion and has a kind of powdery, baby smell, which I love for its simplicity. I don't like harsh smells that are too obvious and this fragrance is very subtle and could almost pass for just a clean, talc kind of smell. It is not for those who prefer a mist of florals or oriental whiffs trailing in their wake. In terms of similarity, it reminds me of Summer by Kenzo and to some extent L'Air Du Temps because of it's powdery undertones. It is a very wholesome, innocent scent and can suit anyone. ...I've been looking for a new perfume for ages now, and decided to stop being so fussy! My sister was going shopping anyway, so I gave her £30 and told her to come back with a new perfume for me. She came back with L'Air Du Temps by Nina Ricci. It's French, but I don't know what it means. Temps means.. day? Temps en temps is from time to time, temps means time, but it doesn't make sense, so day? Oh I'm not even going to bother trying to translate it - it's the Easter holidays and my brain's turned to mush! The picture illustrating this perfume isn't the same as mine. Mine is in an glass bottle, shaped like the bottom half of an hour-glass. It has an embossed picture of two doves on the front of it, and a frosted curved lid. In my life so far, I have found very few – Diana Gabaldon, Jane Austen, Martina Cole – and now Kathy Reichs. After recently reading her first novel, I was soon reaching for her second – Death Du Jour. I have since bought all her novels from Ebay! Reichs’ heroine is Dr. Temperance ‘Tempe’ Brennan. Like Reichs herself, Tempe is a forensic pathologist based in Canada. As you would expect with such a job, this involves a lot of work with corpses. Hence, her books are not for children - or adults of a nervous disposition. But they don’t come across as gratuitously gory either and many potentially horrific descriptions are de-sensitised somewhat by the medical terms used. This gives an authority... Read review

...strong, less accented, and want our personality to shine through more than our smell. There is a button at the bottom of the review for staying power and this is really hard to be accurate. ...pretty much everybody. Give it a test before you buy, because you may hate it or find that it is at odds with your personality! My friend doesn't wear a scrap of make up, lives in tracksuits and is Miss Gobby - it didn't suit her whatsoever, and she's better off with her Tommy Girl (which is minging on me, by the way!). I think this would make a great little Christmas present, a stocking filler maybe. If you're having a big party, with games, then you could have these as a little prize for the ladies? Just a thought! It's a nice touch, and won't cost you a lot either! It is quite a difficult one to describe, but if you liked Elizabeth Arden True Love and L'Air Du Temps (made famous in Silence Of The Lambs!), then try to find a tester for this if you can.
