Shiny shiny lemon smelling hair
Review of Head & Shoulders Citrus Fresh for Greasy Hair by
vialdana
Advantages: keeps dandruff at bay, reduces greasiness, lasts ages.
Disadvantages: Its a brand name product, so it costs more than it should.
...Well they say lemon is good for shiny hair, so I started out by sending off for a free sample of this product (at the time of writing this op the free sample offer is still running on the head & shoulders website). I probably wouldn’t even have noticed that Head & Shoulders had a new product out if it hadn’t been for this sample offer. What happened?? Well, I changed my allegiance just as Head & Shoulders wanted me to. Unfortunately for them, I was already using one of their products, so they didn’t gain a new customer really, just a happier one.
The sample bottle which began my affair with this citrusy shampoo is a miniature version of their normal bottle which you can buy all over town. It contains 75ml as opposed to the full sized bottle which contains 200ml. Both are the same design, White bottle, with Blue flip top lid...

Which came first Original Source or the Lemon
Review of Original Source Tea Tree & Lemon Shower Gel by
begynne
Advantages: for all skin types, smells gorgeous, natural fragrances, cleanses well, not tested on animals
Disadvantages: smell doesn't linger long enough
...Warning : this is an op on the sample. This op contains the following 2 words a lot :‘lemon’ ‘shower gel’, therefore you are at in danger of spotting some repetitions. Please keep your hair down.
After trying the Tea Tree and Mint shower gel, I was prejudiced in favour of Original Source shower gels, and was very much looking forward to their next sample, namely the Tea Tree and Lemon one. For those who haven’t done so yet, samples can still be ordered via their website www.originalsource.com.
The sample was not split, and as should have been expected was a nice yellow in colour, a lot more appealing than the Mint one, whose combination of colours didn’t look right to me. No such critique with the Lemon sample then, a nice bright yellow colour which doesn’t clash (in my opinion) with the red of the rectangle in which the name...

AN 'ORIGINAL' LEMON EXPERIENCE ...
Review of Original Source Tea Tree & Lemon Shower Gel by
L0BSTER_QUADRILLE
Advantages: Refreshing and Reviving; smells lovely.
Disadvantages: Can't wear perfume after using this.
...of time, Ellen persuaded a barber to take her on as an apprentice. While learning to shave whiskers and pull prospectors teeth, she also discovered the healing powers of the plants that grow in the outback – and became famous for her herbal cures.’
(I think this is quite a nice ‘original’ quirk for a shower gel; to inform the consumer of its history.)
The Tea Tree and Lemon shower gel is claimed to ‘make your senses come alive’.
The formula helps to reduce oily skin and the citrus elements refresh and revive you; leaving your skin soft and feeling refreshed.
The directions are to work over the body with a wet sponge whilst in the shower. You can use this to wash your hair; if you do so, only a small amount is required.
Avoid contact with your eyes; should contact be made; rinse your eyes immediately.
People with sensitive skin...

Lemon Freshness For Five minutes
Review of Original Source Tea Tree & Lemon Shower Gel by
purebitch
Advantages: Lathers well Covers easily
Disadvantages: Smell fades too quickly
...********************
Again, this shower gel claims to be so refreshing that it will make your senses come alive. It is suitable for all skin types and it claims to produces stimulating vapours, that give you an exhilirating and refreshing sensation, like nothing you have tried before.
This shower gel can be used on the hair and body.
The shower gel itself was a lovely yellow in colour. The yellow was a little brighter than the packaging.
It was also quite thick. Which I think is a good point. I hate it when shower gels are that runny that they slop about all over, and run through your fingers.
The smell was noticeable, as soon as you opened it. A lovely fresh, lemon aroma filled my shower. It reminded me of sherbert lemon sweets.
The shower gel was smooth to the touch but not slimey. It went over my skin easily, leaving a lovely lather. The lather...

Cleansing lemons
Review of Original Source Tea Tree & Lemon Shower Gel by
dontanswerback
Advantages: dont need air fresher after applying, cleanses
Disadvantages: I can't think of any
...I received my 2nd sample from the Original Source range the other day which was the tea tree and lemon shower gel. This again comes in a 25ml packet.
It comes in a brightly lemony coloured thick packaging which again isn't very easy to tear open. It is supposed to naturally cleanse your hair and body.
I was a little afraid of using this as the mint one sent shivers all through me, but this little package of lemon is quite the opposite. It didn't leave me feeling cold.
It left me feeling very cleansed and refreshed with the aroma of strong lemon wafting through the bathroom door and out onto the landing. This is great as an air freshner too. That's if you like the smell of lemon anyway. If you don't like lemon, then this product is not for you as it smells so strongly of lemon.
I used some on my hair but it didn't give...

THOUGHTS OF LEMON MERINGUE IN MY SHOWER
Review of Original Source Tea Tree & Lemon Shower Gel by
princesssoapy
Advantages: see op
Disadvantages: see op
...This is the second sample from Original Source that I have received but the first I tried out because I opened the other one and couldn't stand the smell, it was Tea Tree and Mint so I thought I would save it for another day. You can get free samples by going to www.originalsource.co.uk the samples are 25ml sachets which are just big enough to wash your hair and body.
This particular product comes in a lemon coloured sachet and the first thing I noticed upon opening was the smell, unlike the first one I loved it, I couldn't smell the Tea Tree at all which I think is a good thing but the lemon made me feel hungry I kept thinking of Lemon Meringue pie because that is the nearest thing to describe this gorgeous smell to.
The directions say "work over body with wet sponge whilst in shower (duh!!). Only a small quantity is required...

Lemon Smint in my Bath!
Review of Original Source Tea Tree & Lemon Shower Gel by
debsjeans
Advantages: Nice smell, soft skin!
Disadvantages: Smell fades, won't lather with a wash cloth!
...soft. It mentions that it is for hair and body. The writing instructs you to use it in the shower with a sponge. Lastly it says it does not test on animals and that the scents are made with natural oils not perfumes.
Out with the instructions I used this product in the bathtub with a wash cloth. Upon opening the product I was greeted with a scent similar to lemon Smint (a sweet I am partial to). You might consider it a lemon meringue smell. Though I think this would miss out the subtle smell of tea tree oil. The lemon scent was definitely stronger then the tea tree oil. A bit of a disappointment for me as I love the scent of tea tree oil.
I then wet my wash cloth and squeeze a 50p-size blob on my wash cloth. This I rub together getting what I call a non-lather result. I then tried washing one of my, nicely tanned just come...

Lemon sherbet shower
Review of Original Source Tea Tree & Lemon Shower Gel by
DiazX
Advantages: Smells nice, leaves you clean, duh!!
Disadvantages: Doesn't pack the punch of the mint shower gel but otherwise fine
...a little on that, your general muck and grime comes off pretty easily and it washes your hair quite well too. It doesn’t leave behind any slimy residue and leaves the skin feeling soft as a babies bum, that is if you have a babies bum handy, if not then it leaves it feeling pretty much the same as it went into the shower, only wetter.
Does it smell nice? Yes it does if you like the smell of Lemon curd, personally I love lemon curd but I’m not sure about smelling of lemon curd. There is also a little herbal after smell of the Tea Tree oil, which isn’t unpleasant. It’s probably best to avoid picnics after showering with this unless you want to be hijacked by an army of ants. It does leave the bathroom smelling nice and fresh, if you like lemon curd of course.
What does the Lemon and Tea tree do for you then...

Lemon Fresh
Review of Original Source Tea Tree & Lemon Shower Gel by
Wolfie1974
Advantages: Nice fragrance
Disadvantages: Fragrance could be stronger
...have liked this one to be a little stronger.
Also when opening the packet, I squeezed a little to the opening of the sachet for a closer examination of the gel itself. This one as so many others have also commented in their opinions of this product, does appear to look like lemon curd, in-fact isn’t it strange how the look and smell of a product can sometimes bring on huger, ummmm! Anyway this sample appears to be thicker in consistency than the previous sample (tea-tree & mint).
The shower gel is recommended for both use on your hair and body. Many people are skeptical about using such products on their hair as they are not specifically designed as shampoo, however, in my opinion, I have found these products to be good for my type of hair.
I washed my hair first, then I applied the gel to a sponge and the gel lathered up...

**Cream in Your hair**
Review of Lush Marilyn Hair Moisturiser by
elephants69food_0
Advantages: Another little treat
Disadvantages: not many applications
...writing that tells the ingredients and product information. It Gives a bit of information about the product, it says, "Want to be a natural blonde?, give yourself chamomile highlights and hair that's soft like silk."
I paid £5.80 pence for this 225 gram pot of the hair moisturiser compared the H'Suan Wen Hua which for the same size tub was 5 pence cheaper at £5.75, so there is not really much in it.
Look and Smell
-------------------
On fiddling about for a while with the very tight fitting lid I managed to get inside the tub. The product itself is a very yellow colour cream. It has the colour of glittery looking custard. It is a lot more runny than I was expecting as the H'Suan Wen Hua was a thicker cream than this is.
The smell of the product is not overly appealing. I though it would smell a lot of lemon but the lemon...
