Appearance when brewed is that the water turns a murky mild brown/ yellow colour. which looks a bit like atered down pollen grains! My prefered duration of brewing for all herbal teas is 2 minutes. Taste: Depends slightly upon the length of brewing, the more intense flavour desired, the longer brewing time. I shall base the review upon my brewing time of two minutes. ...Warning : this is an op on the sample. This op contains the following 2 words a lot :‘lemon’ ‘shower gel’, therefore you are at in danger of spotting some repetitions. Please keep your hair down. After trying the Tea Tree and Mint shower gel, I was prejudiced in favour of Original Source shower gels, and was very much looking forward to their next sample, namely the Tea Tree and Lemon one. For those who haven’t done so yet, samples can still be ordered via their website www.originalsource.com. The sample was not split, and as should have been expected was a nice yellow in colour, a lot more appealing than the Mint one, whose combination of colours didn’t look right to me. ...Jacksons of Piccadilly Green Tea, delicately flavoured with lemon is described on the packaging to have a "refreshing taste" - and I agree. I have tried alot of green tea and now it is the only tea I drink, out of all those infused with lemon I rate this along with Clippers in the top 2. Green tea originates in China and it was infact the first tea ever to be drunk! Infact, it was one of the first teas to be drunk in Britain aswell. The difference between normal tea and green tea is the way it is processed - it is this that makes the tea green and gives the drink such a fresh flavour. The main reason I started drinking green tea was for the health benefits - it is full of antioxidents which are thought to protect the body from "harmful free radicals" and have even been linked to protecting against cancer. ...Before I write about this shower gel I must point out categorically that I’m not a lemon person. Whether it was living with my dad then my boyfriend who insisted on using Zest soap, or whether it was the lemon washing up liquid in the bath at my grandparents’ house (don’t ask!), I have been put off lemon for life. Anyway… Original Source Tea Tree and Lemon shower gel. Appearance: Oh my God! Someone has put lemon curd in the sachet and is having me on. Which brings me to its texture – it made me queasy. The thick gloopy lemon curd-esque substance splattered into my bath and sat there defiantly. No, it would not rinse off with a splash from my shower head – I had to get a cloth and wipe it off. It has a smooth, gentle taste, is very refreshing - due perhaps to the natural lemon pieces in the tea-bags, and it is crisp and refreshing but not at all overpowering. ...envelope. This was exactly the same as the first sample. In this envelope I found my sample pack and an order form, informing me of their products and prices. The sachet that my sample was in was the same size as the first. 25ml. It was a lovely "mellow yellow" in colour. The actual sachet looked quite eyecatching, with it's yellow colouring and big black writing. On the front of the sachet, the writing is very bold. It tells you the name of the product and what fragrance it is. This one was Tea tree and Lemon. (hence the yellow packaging) On the back of the product the writing is much smaller, but still very striking. It tells you the directions of use, ingredients used and a little background information. ...I signed up for the free samples on the Original Source website a few weeks ago and received the Tea Tree and Mint Shower gel first. On completion of my comments on this shower gel, they sent me my latest sample last week, Tea Tree and Lemon Shower Gel. I used it in the shower this morning and on opening the sachet, which was surprisingly easy with my wet hands, I was hit first by the strong smell of lemon yet I could hardly smell the tea tree. I squeezed some out of the sachet and was pleasantly surprised, it looked very much like lemon curd. So with the smell and appearance I then spent my whole time in the shower dreaming of lemon meringue pie. Now it’s time for the “shower experience”. The gel lathered up very nicely on my shower puff.
