...Epiphone are the same company as Gibson apart from the fact that Gibson guitars are made with the highest quality wood and components, and instead of being made in the USA they're made in poorer countries like Taiwan or Korea therefore being cheaper. The quality of Epiphone guitars, in the last few years, has increased. With the EPIPHONE Les Paul Std.'s the only main difference are the pickups - so if you buy some burstbuckers you should get a sound pretty much the same (quote from www.gibson.com - "BurstBuckers put the “edge” on replica Gibson sounds") The Epiphone Les Paul Standard comes with either a '50's Rounded or '60's slim taper neck profile where as Classic is only '60's slim. ...What is there to say about the Gibson Les Paul? A fantastic guitar fit for the best; reliable, well made and durable. I recently bought a Les Paul and it is gorgeous, sweet as a nut, and it appears to be getting better with age. The thing with the Les Paul is, you have to find a decent amp to match it, otherwise spending the money on the Les Paul to play it through a crappy amp is not worthwhile. I can recommend pairing the Les Paul up with a Laney Fusion TF200 amp; that is the set-up I have and it is sweet! Making guitars since the late 1800's, Gibson have got to be one of the world's most renouned guitar manufacturers and rank up there at the top along side Fender as the best and most sought after guitar-make. ...When you think of Les Pauls you think they have been around for ever. As long as people in rock bands have been playing guitar, there seem to have been a Les Paul in there at some time. In fact, it first hit the shops in 1952, so its nearly 50 years old. In 1969, a newer model of the famous guitar was released called the P-100 to replace the ageing P-90. It was an instant hit with guitarist all over the world and famed for its Rocky sound. To recreate the magic of '69, Gibson reissued it in 1999 as a 30th anniversary tribute. It had all the splendour of the original model with the wide filled frets and shiny black body. In fact it has a real retro look about it. Given the standard of contestants, one can only deduce that it's those who can't even spell their own names correctly who make it to the final cut. And here we have the Grimethorpe family from Macclesfield. Team Captain Lisa is stupid, as are her two sisters and one brother-in-law. They've all made an effort to dress up for the cameras and they're enjoying the banter with King Les - "Yes, that's right Les, our honeymoon was a nightmare from start-to-finish." Stuck for an answer, the team clown will blurt 'Make Love Les' to the gleeful delight of the fat, pasty audience. Les Dennis cannot be a happy man. ...Les Belles de Rici is the most wonderful fragrance ever! It smells fruity and pretty making you feel in a happy mood! The best thing about it is there are no harsh tones making it overpowering. The presentation is imaginative in a cool swirly bottle. It is actually a very versatile perfume, not only for the day but also at night, not only in summer but it can make you feel summery all winter long. Although most people love it it does not suit some tastes. For instance if you are the sort of person who likes a very clean fragrance then Les Belles de Rici could get a bit sweet and sickly for you. All I can say is go buy!... Read review

...I would have to say haveing not owned but played all of them the Studio would have to be the best Epiphone Les Paul i have played. Which is uppose is why i bought it. At £260 reduced from £350 it is a very nice second or third guitar, depending on your finacial posision. I think out of all the mainsteam guitars on the market has the largest could variety i have ever seen. At least 15 Different shades of sunburst, not to mension the different shades of hardware. It gives a perfect soud unique to the Gibson and Epiphone ranges. I would be carful not to be confused as a first time buyer for repicas such as "Vintage" or "De-Amon" who have never beed able recreate the true Gibson sound. As guitar shop sales are common it is definetly a guitar to look out for!!... Read review

...I have been going skiing for 6 years, earlier this year for the first time I went to les deux alpes. Wow, it is the best skiing resort I have ever been to! There are loads of different pistes for all abilities and even a snow park. You never have to queue for more than a minute at chair lifts etc because there is so many. As it’s a glacier you can ski all year round. The resort has many other facilities like bowling, swimming etc. There are lots of shops, pubs etc and plenty of chalets and hotels. There is a lot of nightlife if you want it. I would recommend les deux alpes to anyone as it is a top resort!... Read review

...Les Dennis is a very good gameshow host. he is good with the contestants, and has a good sense of humour, which is just as well, given some of the planks that appear on the show. Family Fortunes is famous for its daft contestants with their irrelevant or bizarre answers. "Name something you would eat on the beach" - "Turkey" "Name aomething that's red" - "My cardigan". I sometines wonder how Les Dennis manages to keep control of himself. The prizes are reasonable, and the shows format is good, with plenty of opportunity for the viewer at home to shout answers at the screen. A good game show, with a good host.... Read review
