...I have a complex AV system that has separate audio and video signal paths. This makes switching sources a nightmare that involves multiple remote controls and a lot of concentration. I have tried many programmable remotes over the years (three in the last 2 years) and this Logitech Harmony product stands head and shoulders above the rest. The set up requires a PC or MAC. I found the software excellent. Initially the software asks for the make and model numbers of the devices you want to operate. Logitech have a huge library of devices (they claim 175,000+). If your device is not there it has the ability to learn from the original R/C. Then you can set up activities listing the devices involved and the initial setting for each. ...it had downloaded the relevant bits, checked where we'd mis-labelled something, and spent some time blank-screen communicating with the internet. All OK in the end and it kept asking us irritating "Is this what you want?" questions, but we got over that. Good stuff vodka. So you can now use it to operate all the AV previously purchased by techy-boffin (TB) (if they only had a crystal set, they wouldn't need any of it LOL). Well the one's it does operate - great, but even TB (who has a Physics degree) couldn't get it to work with Dad's Bose speakers. Apparently the Logitech Harmony don't work with Bose. (??) It was possible to set up advanced custom stuff e.g. setting delay times for the remote commands. (When I work out why you want that I'll let you know.) TB added a custom button to turn the sub woofer on or off and was very pleased... Read review

...that this was to be for the remainder of the weekend as Logitech didn't reply until the following Monday afternoon. When the reply came it was impressive. I had a polite note from a technical support person (Gerald, if I remember correctly), who was sorry for my troubles and told me that he had added a new parameter to my TV power controls, which allowed the signal to be transmitted for longer. This was already uploaded to my home page (almost spookily), and I duly downloaded the change to the Harmony via the USB. Eureka! The TV came on, so did the set-top box and VCR! At last! AND I could control my lighting. With a smug grin, I decided to try the Hi-fi and selected 'Listen to CD' from the Activity menu. The VCR and set-top box turned off and the amplifier and CD player came on... but the TV was also still on, and it soon dawned on me that the 'off' control for the TV... Read review

...I got this microphone recently. My old Creative Labs microphone broke awhile ago. I primarily use this microphone for gaming. I use this usually when i play Counter-Strike. This microphone is clear and works well. Installation was a breeze and was quick. I have to admit this is the best product that i've purchased in months. Most of the products i purchase I'm not happy with. I have to say i was quite pleased with this one. The reason why i went with logitech is because i've owned logitech products in the past. I've owned a logitech mouse and keyboard which i've been using for years. To this date, The keyboard and move still work. That proves logitech has quality in their products. They make some of the best quality and most reliable products on the market. But does the Logitech quickcam walk the walk. ...I was bought a Logitech Cordless mouse as a present. I am very pleased with the idea of having no tangling cord to battle with. It is very nice to use. It is of slim design and has a wheel in the center for scrolling. It comes complete with all instructions for installation which is very easy to do. Even a beginner could manage. It comes complete with batteries so there is nothing else to buy. It has a plug in receiver unit which can be hidden on your desk top. ...the Logitech. So what about it? Well I bought this one as I could not face splashing the cash for yet another Philips (if you have kids you'll understand!). So my first point this is kind of an "entry level" all-in-one, but really is the better of the entry level multifunctions. If you are looking at the All For One range (particularly the Chameleon), trust me and spend some more on this one... I am using this one to replace remotes that control: My Pioneer plasma screen and media box, Pioneer DVD player, Pace SKY+ box, Arcam AV Amplifier and Pansonic video recorder - so getting rid of 5 remote controls. The remote itself is literally no bigger than a normal size remote control at 18cm long. Upon first inspection, it looks very cool - grey slate colour, loads of buttons and an LCD screen at the top. ...Ok not sure what I can really say about a mouse I've only had Logitech mice cos that’s what’s always come with my computers I've bought. I bought it when the mouse to one of my computers died. This has to be the best mouse I’ve use...I've used Microsoft mice at college and to be honest I think that Logitech ones are far suprior they feel so much smoother and the buttons feel high quality On to the item in question, Logitech’s standard cordless mouse. I have never owned any other cordless mice other than the Logitech one so I can only base my opinions on this one alone. Firstly I'd like to put all the fears about cordless mice at rest. They don’t just conk out on you for no good reason, this one certainly doesn't, this mouse it seems to work anywhere in the room as long as it is at a similar height. The batteries last months... ...I have been really pleased with my Logitech Quickcam VC. The picture quality is excellent considering that it only cost £60. The camera has an internal light meter so can be set to automatically adjust for changes in lighting, such as the sun going behind a cloud. Colour rendition is very good also. The Camera comes with Microsoft Netmeeting so you can get on line and chat to friends immediately. The only drawback is that you’ll have to supply your own microphone as there isn’t one built in. The Logitech Quickcam VC comes as either USB or Parallel Port, which is useful if you are running NT or earlier versions on Win98... Read review

...Easy to install and set up. Vastly superior to to my previous, more expensive webcam. Good colour reproduction, simple but effective focusing. Sofware quite extensive, useful control panel enables more advanced manipulation of the camera's setup. Links provided to download MSN and Yahoo Messenger. Logitech seem to have responded to earlier criticisms relating to the length of the cable. This now measures around 6' or 2 metres. My advice is, this is about as good as a budget webcam gets, the microphone is very effective, altough some tweaking of the audio levels may be necessary to reduce unwanted background noise. I have seen these for sale at £44, but shop around as I got mine for £14.89. The kids have really enjoyed video conferencing with Grandad, and don't forget if you are on Broadband its a free phone call. Get one.... Read review
