Mamas and Papas Primo Viaggio Car Seat
Review of Mamas & Papas Primo Viaggio Car Seat by
rppp
Advantages: Matches travel systems
Disadvantages: Heavy, extremely difficult to move handle, straps and get in and out of the car.
...the base without tugging and jerking the seat which is not what you need with a young sleeping baby inside. Also the car seat doesn't look comfortable for babies. It's not very padded and seems far too upright for a new born baby. Even now my baby is 4 months old when he falls asleep in the car is head flops forward onto his chest which looks really uncomfortable for him, (and the seat is definately suitable for my car and is installed properly)
Positives about the seat are hard to find. It feels secure and safe but then all car seats have to meet set safety standards so this isn't a particularly special selling point. The cover is easily removable and machine washable which i suppose is good. Overall I would be suprised if the designers of the Mamas and Papas Primo Viaggio car seat have actually ever had children and had to use the car seat...

Primo Viaggio - a stylish little number
Review of Mamas & Papas Primo Viaggio Car Seat by
Leopard_Lady
Advantages: Safe, stylish, in-car base
Disadvantages: Weighty, in-car base, little bit small
...The Primo Viaggio car seat is a rear facing group 0+ car seat meaning it is suitable for babies from birth to 13kg (or till they are about 12-15 months). I bought mine as part of a travel system but to buy separately they are approximately £90 from various retailers as well as Mamas and Papas stores obviously.
The seat itself is well padded as are the deep sides. As well as this padding the Primo Viaggio comes with a head hugger and extra optional chest and buckle pads. If you buy this as part of the Mamas and Papas Freestyler Completo Travel System you also get a Completo Comfort Pad which you can use as even more comfy padding in the Primo Viaggio. I did find that when my son was newborn that there seemed to be too much padding if you used the chest pads too – he just seemed swamped by them, but this is easily remedied by taking...

Primo viaggio car seat
Review of Mamas & Papas Primo Viaggio Car Seat by
XXMum2oneXX
Advantages: Good Quality, Excellent with the Pramette
Disadvantages: Slighty too upright
...When it came to us buying a car seat for our baby i was adamant i wanted a travel system so the car seat had to slot into the pram/pushchair. After deciding on the Mamas and Papas Pramette it was obvious that we needed the Primo Viaggio to go with it.
So what do i think of it? I think it is a good quality sturdy chair and i am confident that if it were to be involved in a collision it would hold my son safe and sound. I like the way it is easy to get it in and out of the car and once it is in place in the car it doesn't shift around. The material (i have the vertical fabric 2006/7) is durable and easy to clean, the sun canopy is effective in keeping the sun off my little man's head too.
On a down side i did think that when my son was very small his head did tilt forwards slightly and now he is almost 17lbs when he is sleeping...

MAMAS & PAPAS PLIKO PRAMETTE
Review of Mamas & Papas Pliko Pramette by
kismet
Advantages: easy to use, lightweigh, smart looking
Disadvantages: fills the boot of a 306
...When I found out I was pregnant I soon discovered that buying a pram/pushchair can be an absolute nightmare. There are so many on the market, doing different things and costing different amounts! i wanted one that would be lightweight, and take my baby right through to being a toddler.
I also wanted one that would look like a proper pram, not just a carseat on wheels. Due to suffering from SPD in my pregnancy I was not up to mammoth shopping trips which made it even more difficult to choose one as I could not get out to see what they were like in the flesh.
When flicking through the Argos catalogue (its no longer available in there), I came across the Mamas & Papas Pliko Pramette and fell in love with it immediately. It was only available in one colour, the Boston check, but it was a nice dark colour and looked like a proper...

The Mamas and Papas of all Travel Systems
Review of Mamas & Papas Ultima 3 in 1"" by
Claire75
Advantages: The "one click release" system is easy and you can easily take the car seat from car to chassis with no fuss.
Disadvantages: Car seat is heavy, can work out to be expensive.
...This has to be the original Travel System, with Mamas and Papas being the first company to offer you the freedom of using any attachment (car seat/pushchair/carrycot) solo on any of their Chassis, with a simple on click attach/release system. But is origianl best ?
When I was pregnant the moment I saw this I was smitten. The ability to just click the car seat out of the car then onto the chassis simply and quickly did it for me, but after baby came and it was in everyday use its very easy to see whats what.
All Mamas and Papas equipment is on the pricey side, but once you add the Primo Viaggio car seat on this travel system it'll bump up the price by about another £70 and all in all can cost you well over £400.
The car seat is one of the heaviest on the market, which is OK when you have a 7lb newborn but a totally diffent...

CALLING ALL MAMAS AND PAPAS- pliko P3 is in town!
Review of Mamas & Papas Pliko Completo stroller by
kframpton18
Advantages: umbella fold, adjustable handles and VERY trendy!
Disadvantages: Quite pricey,non-cushioned handles.
...-matic attachment system, which basically means you can easily just 'click' either the Primo Viaggio car seat and the Navetta carrycot onto the pushchair.
You can purchase the pushchair and matching bits in the combination that suits your needs. All I needed was the pushchair, the attachment clips easily fold down into the chassis if not required
I found the one I wanted in my local babystore, not a chain, but they are available as a travel system in BabiesRus and the Mamas&papas store in Southampton(these are the only 'offline shops'that I am aware of,but obviously there are more!)The online prices were not really that good but there are some bargains to be made on Ebay both new and used.
Lucky for me my shop were having a sale and had the colour that I liked as a travel system(pushchair & carseat)for £199,the lady offered me the pushchair on it's own...

The Mamas and The Papas California Dreamin'
Review of California Dreamin' - Mamas & The Papas (The) by
Martinscholes
Advantages: Fantastic DVD
Disadvantages: There ARE no disadvantages!
...California Dreamin' by the Mammas and the Papas. This is … what? Exactly? Just a music DVD from the 1960s? A seminal masterwork by some of the world's best ever musical geniuses?
Having listened to this DVD and viewed it, all I can say is yes, I think it is probably a seminal masterwork by some of the world's best ever musicial geniuses..
I am in my late 40s, so I can remember the 1960s and I can remember the fantastic influence that the Mamas and the Papas had on music and on society in general. There songs are a combination of pathos, of love, of joy, are happiness of melancholy of… of life itself, I suppose.
All the hits of the Mamas and the Papas are on this DVD.
I Call Your Name,
Dancing in the Street,
Do You Believe in Magic
Somebody Groovy
Words of Love
Creeque Alley
Twelve-Thirty (Young Girls Are Coming...

For the mamas and papas amongst you
Review of Mamas & Papas by
ricci
Advantages: great quality
Disadvantages: expensive
...Babies are expensive. We used to be under the naïve impression that babies are very small, so how much stuff could they need. After much aimless wandering around Mothercare and Mamas and Papas we realised the error of our ways, there seems to be no end to the stuff that babies need and this is before you get to the stuff that you want to buy that they could probably do without. We spent a horrendous amount in Mamas and Papas whilst Scarlett was still a bump!
Mamas and Papas always seems to me to be like the ‘designer’ shop of the baby world. Whilst Mothercare is practical and quite down to earth. Mamas and Papas seems a bit more upmarket. Well as upmarket as baby stuff gets! Flicking through their catalogue its full of slim models in white linen outfits holding pretty babies who look more like their younger brothers and sisters than...
