Review of The Fabulous Baker Boys (Vanilla Version) by
JeffreyB

Filmed on location in and around Seattle, with a terrific score by Dave Grusin. Copyright 1989 Gladden Entertainment Corporation.

Cold Comfort
Review of Southern Comfort Whisky by
optimaboy
Advantages: Available everywhere
Disadvantages: Too sweet
...Southern comfort is a strange entity. It is a Bourbon liqueur, flavoured with peach and apricot stones. Complemented well by lemonade (or lemonade with a dash of lime) Southern comfort is certainly an individual product, with few others like it on the market, which is a good thing.
However, it is sickly sweet and not likely to be enjoyed by anyone who appreciates Bourbon, which is a bad thing.
I dislike Southern Comfort for the same reason i dislike alcopops - the sickly aftertaste and bland base flavour, - indeed, once its mixed with lemonade, you'd be hard pushed to tell that this drink contained bourbon at all.
If you want a sweeter whisky based drink, i think you'd find a much more satisfying alternative is any Bourbon like Maker's Mark, Bullitt or Baker's ,mixed with ginger ale....

A Story of a Family with a Tragic Past
Review of Bid Time Return - Donna Baker by
Youngatheard60
Advantages: Interesting easy reading with a good storyline
Disadvantages: I finished it too quickly
...independent from this unfamiliar family.
She arrives in Furness and the story tells of her first experiences with this new family who own several Haematite mines. She discovers they have a tragic past which involves the other two main characters of the book, Louisa and her son Rupert. Joanna visits the graveyard where they are buried and senses that they are trying to contact her. Through a series of visions Joanna grows to understand the true stories behind the tragic loves and marriages of Louisa and her son Rupert long ago, and through these experiences she learns that she must not make the same mistakes.
This book is divided into four parts, Joanna, Louisa, Rupert and then the conclusion which is the rest of Joanna's story. It has 599 pages and is marked as £5.99, although I got it for £1.99 in a sale. The title is taken from...

Marks and Spencers Highball
Review of Marks and Spencer Highball Rum Pineapple and Lime by
Jeser
Advantages: Great refreshing, tasty, fruity summer cooler
Disadvantages: Too much can get you a bit tipsy as it has a kick to it
...in the UK.

* RECOMMENDATIONS *
From my experience of trying this new alcopop Marks and Spencer HIGHBALL Rum, Pineapple and Lime, I greatly recommend this for it's great rummy sweet fruity flavour and as a summer cooler. I must say it is one of the best alcopops I have tried. At £3.49 for a 770ml bottle I feel it is great value for money.
I hope you find this opinion very useful in your choice of alcopops and enjoy reading.
Thank you for reading....

Bun's from Chelsea
Review of Chelsea Bun by
mumsymary
Advantages: yummy
Disadvantages: fattening
...Yes the Chelsea bun does originate from Chelsea although you can buy them nation wide .It is thought that the Chelsea bun was first made in the Chelsea bun house on or near Grovesnor Row or Jew's Row. This bun shop was making Chelsea buns from the mid 17th early the shop closed in 1839 when it closed. This shop was visited by many including royalty, king Georges 11 and 111 on route to the nearby Ranelagh Pleasure Gardens.
Availability
Now I must admit to liking a Chelsea bun. I either buy mine from Tesco's or the local bakers and I have even made my own. Chelsea buns seem to be available at all bakers and supermarkets.
The price for a pack of 4 Chelsea bun s at tesco is £1.09p 27 each each at Sainsbury's £1.05p for a 4 pack thats 26p each, from my local bakers it costs 75p each there. The baker's bun is bigger fatter and a bit...

Thats Entertainment!!
Review of Oliver (Wide Screen) by
pottysue
Advantages: Film for the whole family
Disadvantages: None
...A truly classic film that has withstood the test of time. Oliver is a classic story of the rags to riches tale of a young orphan boy. The story is based on the book Oliver Twist written by Charles dickens and the music is by Lionel bart. The film launched the career of a young Mark Lester and includes a cast of many household names such as
Ron moody - Excellent in the role of lovable rogue Fagin.
Jack wild - A very cheeky and lively Dodger.
Oliver Reed - A truly Despicable Bill Sykes.
Harry Secombe - The dislakable Mr Bumble.
Cast also includes Shani Wallis, Peggy Mount, Leonard rossiter and Hilda Baker.
Oliver is a Great British Musical which richley deserved the academy award won in 1968. The film is certified U and is a fantastic film for all the family an all singing and dancing extravaganza.
Including great song...

Bizarre Brilliance
Review of Six - Mansun by
yhwman
Advantages: Some of the most inventive music you will hear this side of Mr. Bungle
Disadvantages: Television isn't a great song, it's hard to get into
...of the Sugar Plum Fairy. The album is split into two parts, with an interlude from Tom Baker and some opera singers providing a chance to ‘rest’. Not everything is great though, opening track of the second section, Television is quite a weak song compared to the others but as Six has my favourite song of all time on it, Legacy, I’ll forgive it and give it full marks anyway....

Dr Who?
Review of Dr Who: Deep Blue - Mark Morris by
EthanWolfe
Advantages: Breathless plot
Disadvantages: One of a kind
...in to the kind of monster the BBC budget could never have stretched to. Enter old friends from UNIT and you could be forgiven for thinking no further expectations could be shattered. You’d be wrong. Morris gives his characters one hell of a time and, while you know that the big names will survive, you begin to wonder how. The book is tightly plotted and, despite initial similarities to the Tom Baker adventure ‘The Horror of Fang Rock’, highly original. There is so much gore it floods off the page at times. The additional characters are so well drawn you’re desperate for them to make it through unscathed. But not all of them do. This is Dr Who for adults. Read this, then petition the BBC to go out on a limb and regenerate the Dr in Mark Morris’ image....

Chick Flick at its best
Review of 13 Going On 30 DVD by
MattyP007
Advantages: Funny, watchable
Disadvantages: Too girly for me.
...among you will enjoy this film. It is more a chick flick. It was pretty unbelievable and very silly in places, but the story is fun and the thriller dance made me laugh. Jennifer Garner is great as the lost 13 year old trapped in a 30 year old, and Mark Ruffalo is at his best as the shy bumbeling friend.
Cast
Jennifer Garner ... Jenna Rink
Mark Ruffalo ... Matt Flamhaff
Judy Greer ... Lucy Wyman
Andy Serkis ... Richard Kneeland
Kathy Baker ... Bev Rink
Phil Reeves ... Wayne Rink
The cast put in a good performance and for the type of film it is, I have to admit I have seen worst. It just wasn't really my taste in film. Both Jennifer and Mark put in great performances as the confused 13 year old and the hurt best friend. It has a happy ending and kids and women everywhere will like it I am sure....

Exciting Dry Food
Review of Bakers by
mandyco
Advantages: exciting for your dog, plus its keeps them healthy
Disadvantages: none
...I have two dogs, one is a Chihuahua called Cindy, and the other is a Chihuahua cross Pomeranian called Candy
I feed Cindy on Eukanuba (See opinion).
But although Candy is a lot smaller than Cindy is, she prefers a larger kibble, so I feed Candy on Bakers Complete.
Bakers complete contains all the ingredients your dog needs, to keep them healthy and in tiptop condition.
Bakers is a complete balanced food, which can be fed alone.
It contains six different ingredients, which include cereals, vegetables and tasty meaty chunks. Candy loves Bakers complete the reason why is that is seems more exciting than other dry food, it's not just a box of nuts. The food has six different nuts.
One nut is square this is the one that contains real meat, and this contains protein for strong muscles.
The second nut is clover shaped and is high...
