...I, personally, prefer McDonalds to Burger King because Burger King's fries are really disgusting. The burgers are okay, I suppose, but I would not recommend their fries to anyone. They taste like raw sticks of patato. Burger King is not as popular as McDonalds - which is a good thing because that means less queues and faster food - although the quality of McDonald's food is much higher than Burger King's. I would only recommend Burger King to you if there is no other alternative close by. I would choose McDonalds instead of Burger King anyday.... Read review

...The McDonalds McFlurry advert is very good at putting it's point across. It is basically employees of McDonalds serving McFlurrys to people but watching their reluctant faces as they have to give the ice cream up. "Heaven for you, hell for us" is the motto used in the advert, and the looks on the faces of the staff is most definitely comical. The advert is very clever at getting across it's point as it uses simple methods and actual restaurants selling ice creams to get it's point across, although the concept of staff needing training to sell ice cream is a little ridiculous...... ...I was walking through town today, and experienced utter shock when I walked past my local McDonalds! It had gone green!... Literally! The whole shop front had been renovated and repainted in a fowl dark green colour, while the infamous "M" remained bright yellow. It was utterly strange, people were looking at it with complete aura, in fact there were even groups of students stood outside discussing it! So whats it all in aid of? The change in colour from red to green is obviously to support and enhance McDonalds movement towards ethics. McDonalds wants to reposition itself as ethical; a purveyor of quality, healthy foods, an ethical employee etc. But is this change taking it a little too far? ...This is more about not what McDonalds advertise but rather what they dont. I hope that I have now put this in the correct place. Let me explain. We have all been to a McDonalds and somewhere along the line we have all had complaints about the food, the actual restaurant etc but we dont hear anything good about McDonalds. Especially the part that they are trying to do well balanced and healthy meals now. No I am talking about what McDonald sponsers. How many of you have heard of the Ronald McDonald Suites that are in so many of our hospitals? Not many I bet. At the moment my Granddaughter is in intensive care after my daughter gave birth 10 weeks prematurely. The hospital is a 58 mile round trip so my daughter can stay in a Ronald McDonalds suite. Advantages: mcflurries. quick.
Disadvantages: smelly. nasty burgers and chicken nuggets.

...The title may be misleading. I will never, ever purchase a beefburger from McDonalds, and the chicken nuggets are foul and slimy, compared to KFC. The chips are often limp and cold when I recieve them, and as I eat my McDonalds on the go, they often neglect to give me ketchup, or even garnish on my McChicken Sandwich simply because I am eating out. However, I can rarely complain about the service, as it is often fast and efficient, and there are some redeeming features to this mammoth fast food chain. 1. Cheap and quick 2. Mcflurries Yes, those are the only things I can think of. But Mcflurries are beautiful, especially Crunchie ones. It's about McDonalds, and of course about the McDonalds here in Germany, cause i don't know so much about the McDonalds in the UK- but its almost the same, i think;-) The athmosphere ---------- If you go into a McDonalds , you'll feel good. Theres a really nice Athmosphere but you also can see that it's no luxury restaurant. Often there are cheap tables and chairs looking modern but they're uncomfortable. The service ----------- Oh- do I have to tell about this? There is NO service. McDonalds is a self-service restaurant so you've to go to the bar to order your food. The guys working in McDonalds often are unfriendly. If you want to order something you've to say it three times or more until they understand what you want to have... ...I work at Gatwick Airport mainly late shift or through the night and I urge you Not to eat from Mc Donald's on the top level before departures. For Instance if you buy a big mac at midnight you would get the impression that the burger has just been made well think again it was made at 7pm yes 5 hours before. Most of the food up until 6am is the day before and you can gey an upset stomach as most of my mates at work have found out, the staff are rude there especially the female manager the are not there for the customer but just to get themoney. There are sandwich shops located throughout the Airport that sell fresh food and I would urge you to boycott Mc Donalds unless your travelling after 6am, you have been warned.... Read review

...Burger king isn't particulary tasty compared to McDonalds but it's lovely compared to Wimpy so i suppose you could say that it's average really. It's actually more exepensive than McDonalds I think and the service is much slower especially at motorway services even when there's nobody else there. The chips taste similar to McDonalds but the chicken burger is harder and usually a bit tasteless with not much mayonnaise. I can't give my opinion on any of the other food they seel because I haven't actually had any of it! My advice to you is stick to McDonalds where there is one. The choclate doughnuts are lovely though. Never ever have those bean atster sticks because they are just vile.... Read review

...I found a rather old McDonalds review when looking for "Woolwich" related things to review, for lo! that's where I'm living. But this seems to be it, and it doesn't actually seem to be a review of Woolwich McDonalds. As mentioned in the other review, this McDonalds was the first ever in the UK, opened in 1974, and the 3000th in the world. According to the CEO of McDonalds in the UK in the time, they chose Woolwich because it was a typical town, and if they could crack Woolwich they could crack anywhere. By the start of the 21st Century Woolwich was a shadow of its former self, having declined in the 80s and never fully recovered. Recently the local council has launched ambitious plans to demolish half of Woolwich, including several buildings of character, in order to make room for a giant Tesco, among other things. Anyway... ...Introduction ~~ There everywhere, on high streets, retail parks – you name it its hard to go somewhere and not see the big yellow M and with it a greasy smell of burgers and chips. Yup I’m on about good old Maccy D’s. Not that you didn’t know that as it says quite clearly in blue writing. Well if your after cheap food when your out’n’about that isn’t from the greasy spoon that was almost shutdown or the filthy kebab van then McDonalds or Burger King are your safest bet.
