...This is my first time writing a review around the food and snack area, and I decided to review one of my favourite snacks. Mini Cheddars. These small circular biscuits are like little circles of joy xP. How they came about In the early 90's the company McVities went through diversification, meaning they made new products that may not have anything to do with their original products. That would either appeal to a new consumer group or the original. After being made because of this they became very popular so some more flavours were introduced. New Flavours BBQ Beef Branston Lettuce Cheese and Onion Mature Cheddar Me personally prefer the original and mature cheddar because being a cheese lover these are perfect for me. ...You wouldn't believe the trouble I've gone through to conduct this review, I had to hide a packet of McVities Mini Cheddars in the breadbin so that no one would get to them and eat them before I could review them (namely my dad). That's not just because Mini Cheddars go fast in my house because of how tasty they are, it's because people would eat anything in my house. It's been a long time coming since I last had a packet of these, and allow me to share what will hopefully be a happy reunion with you. What is immediately noitceable about Mini Cheddars is how they are in a much smaller packet than normal crisps, and that's not because they don't want to waste packaging. ...The bite sized snack with the big cheese taste!! I needed a savoury snack today to go with my sandwich but didn't feel like a packet of crisps so didn't know what to buy until I saw a packet of McVitie's baked mini cheddars! I've haven't had a packet of these for years but they looked quite inviting and the different type of snack that I was looking for so decided to go for it. The bag was quite small, almost like a mini size serving at just over 30g I believe. In the bag were approximately 20 mini cheddars. The cheddars come in a foil packet to ensure freshness which is nice. They are different colours according to the different flavours inside, for example the original cheese flavour is a bright orange colour. ...Mini Cheddars- tasty snack So what can I say about Mini Cheddars. These are a change from Potatoe Crisps . In some way I prefer them as I like anything with a cheese flavour. McVities is the company that produces them now but when they first came on the scene they were manufactured by a company called Crawfords. They come in very handy snack sizes which is very useful for anyone who likes a quick snack and they are so satisfying. In the 1990s McVitie's found that the Original Flavour of the Mini Cheddars sales had fallen so they introduced other flavours such as Chees and Onion and Mature Cheddar flavours. Also the other flavour which I did try was Ham and Cheese which also was enjoyable but now thet do not produce that flavour anymore. ...Again another one of the things that we bought in Tescos on Friday was also on the BOGOF offers and after the disappointment of the Nouvelle Toilet Rolls, could things get any worse. We found that packs of mini cheddars were on offer, buy one get one free. So hubby likes these for University so I said get them if you want to. He spotted next to them a shiny green foil bag, also named mini cheddars, but we had never seen this one before so we decided to take a look. These were in a large bag and contained 7 bags, they are mini cheddars with pepperami. Peperami, I hear you all scream after so many of you said you do not like them when I did my opinion on them. Advantages: They're baked not fried!

...I'm hungry, but not too hungry. What do I do. I want a packet of something but I'm not a fan of greay slimy snacks like some of these snacking thingamies. Luckily a lot of the big names have got their respective acts together. These days most packets of fried potato have a proud label somewhere boasting about how much better thay are than they used to be. Mini cheddars are not crisps, not really. They're shrunken crackers of a cheesy persuasion. I bought mine in a multipack in Asda or Sainsburys so I couldn't tell you exactly how much they are, but they're at the market average. I know this because I have my bargain radar on supersensitive. If they had been widely differently piced from their shelfmates believe me, I'd have noticed. Alright, enough build up. ...Being a big fan of cheese it is no surprise that i love mini cheddars. I buy our mini cheddars from pound land where i get a multipack with 6 smaller bags in for £1 From the second i open the bag my mouth starts watering just at the smell of the creamy cheese flavour, they smell lovely. Mini cheddars are little circular biscuits coated in a cheese flavouring. The biscuits them selves are baked to be a lightly golden colour which is not soggy but not too dry, they are just yummy, the flavouring is pritty much even on the biscuits which gives you a lovely creamy cheese flavour that sets your taste buds alight. I cant stand food that is too salty and expected these to be salty like all other cheese snacks i had tryed but i was very pleasantly surprised to find these to just have a slight salt taste to them that was not too over... ...Abit about the company --------------------------------- Mcvities is a brand that is owned by United Biscuits. Mcvities first product made was the Digestive, which was created by a new young employee, named Alexander Grant in 1892. Mini Cheddars were first launched in 1984, and they became more popular in the early 1990's. Soon after that new flavours were introduced. These included: Barbeque Beef Branston pickle Cheese and onion and Mature cheddar. They were then released in the crinkle type, these flavours were: Sweet Chilli Cheese and Onion Plus a few more flavours have since been released. ...Well, yesterday, going to my Nans house, we decided to stop of and do our shopping at the sainsburys in newport - along with the bags, and bags of things we bought, were some delious "mcVitie's Mini Cheddars"...now, they where only the 6 pack, of 3 flavours, and they where buy one get one free : which i thought was a good offer, as they original prices a only something like £1.13 of something like that...so, we went to my nan's blah, blah blah, and we got home. Im now looking at the packet that i have chosen to review and eat -The Packet - The outter packet colour is burgundy - the information on the front say's " McVitie's - New Flavour 30% Less Saturated Fat* Baked Mini Cheddars - Extra Mature Cheddar Flavour" in the multi flavour pack, there is original, cheese and onion and extra mature cheddar, and i thought the extra mature...
