...The hotel Cala n Bosch is situated in the resort of Cala n Bosch which also happens to be the furthest resort that you could possibly get to from Mahon Airport. The hotel itself towers above Cala n Bosch and can be seen as you drive down the main road that comes from Ciutadella approaching the resort. Transfer times could be 1 hour to 1 hour 30 depending on time of day or if you have other stops. The resort of Cala n Bosch is set around a pleasant, relaxing and friendly man-made marina with an abundance of shops, restaurants and cafés. It also features a kiddies play area called the Goodie Goodie restaurant which is packed with fun and activities for kids and teenagers. ...own. The atmosphere is just so wonderful that I’m sure anyone would enjoy their stay. I would say that this resort, although not luxury, it’s not exactly a basic place in terms of facilities so it’s not a really cheap place to stay but it won’t cost the earth either. The best thing to do is to look at first choice and book it with them because they will offer you a comfortable first choice flight, coach trip to the apartments from the airport and it is actually their hotel. The only thing I would say which is perhaps negative is the location. You have to walk a way to get somewhere and even then there's not much. The town of Sa Caleta is definitely a quiet and simple place so if you're looking for something more varied and lively I suggest Cala'n Bosch or the capital Cuidadella. Advantages: MENORCA A LOVELY PLACE TO VISIT
Disadvantages: HOTEL A LITTLE DISSAPOINTING

...that is checked by the beach staff so you will be warned if they are in the sea. Lots of people got stung but we loved the pool so it didnt spoil our time. 10 min walk to Calan Forcat - small water park, shops and bars. We hired a car and visited several small beaches - Cala Mitjana - hilarious for the kids as there were some nudists there!!! Lots of places for you to just stop on the road take a towel and dive into the sea. All in all we had a great time, the weather was a little cloudy at times and it was VERY windy in the resort but we all got tans and we made some great friendsd. ENTERTAINMENT - Good family fun, archery, shooting, killerpool etc. The grown ups got very competitive and we had lots of fun booing eachother at certificate giving time. ...Hi there! I have just returned back today from Menorca, and had such a fantastic time, I wanted to share my experience in case anyone is looking for a brilliant holiday in the near future. Myself and my partner arrived in Mahon (the recently made capital of Menorca) on 4th May 2007. We were travelling with Thomas Cook, and had booked a week in the Valentin Star Hotel (4*) located in Cala N Bosch on the South west Coast of Menorca. We had booked half board, which also included in flight meals. Booking about 6 months in advance, and booking online via the internet, the entire package for 2 of us cost the bargain price of under £500! I believe we saved about £400 by booking online. ...Well lets begin, about 4 years ago now I went on holiday to this fantastic little resort, not through choice mind you. You see my friend and myself decided to pack up our bags, pick a cheap flight off the teletext and jet off to 'sunny Spain' - (Majorca or as the locals spell it Mallorca) for a week........ When we arrived in Palma airport, we were directed to the Rep as our holiday was an allocations on arrivial. Imagine our surprise when the Rep directed an ELDERLY couple to Magaluf and us to a place called 'Cala Bona'??!? After spending our first day finding our way about we actually found it to be very pleasant, with a beautiful harbour and the locals were so friendly. ...After living in Menorca for two years I made a decision I would like to return and visit the resort of Cala n Bosch. After extensive searches on the internet to find cheap accomodation but at a nice hotel we found the Valentin Star. After we had selected the hotel we then did a massive search around the web and some of the differences were bewteen £150. We were only going for four nights and eventually we got the room for a very reasonable price (the cheapest) with Holiday Nights, which we never heard of. We took the gamble! On arrival we made our way to the resort of Cala n Bosch and the Valentin Star and on arrival I was very surprised to see where it was. After living there I had got it confused with another next to the beach!!! However, I was more so surprised that the hotel I was talking about used to look in a poor state... Read review

...This is a nice, comfortable 4 star hotel. It is very centrally located in the resort of Cala Galdana so if you like to people watch then get a sea view room and watch the world go by. In fact only get a seaview room because the rooms at the rear of the hotel are overlooked by a steep rock strewn cliff which casts a shadow all day. The resort is set in a beautiful cove with a wide cresent-shaped beach. The water as a consequence is very warm and calm. The cove is flanked on each side by cliffs that can be climbed quite easily to get a great view of the resort below. If you carry on in either direction a 40 minute walk will get you to the next coves along this southern coast of the island. The resort is quite small, has plenty of restaurants for all tastes and a very low-key night life. In fact the most popular evening entertainment... Read review

...Cala Do'r is split up into several bays from cala Serena to Cala D'or itself there all fantastic, With great sandy beeches, pubs, altough the main nightlife is in Cala D'or itself From sports bars like Linekars to traditional Irish Pubs and everything inbetween. It may not be as livly as Palma nova and Magaluf but what can you expect. The booze is quite cheap so you can drink to your haerts content. The streets are filled with people of all ages so there is bount to be someone there that you will like. During the day ( if you are up) there are shops full of a wide selection of souveniers and gifts for the whole family. I highly recomend Cala D'or for family's as children are aloud in some of the quieter pubs. I also recomend Cala D'or for students and other young adults as it is plain and simply teen heaven!... Advantages: Sun, Sand, and just about everything else you could possibly wish for

...It's 8.30am and you wake up to the smell of fresh baked bread, you open the balcony doors and step out just as the sun starts to rise above the harbour. Fisherman prepair there boats for the days trip and the locals are sat in the square just enjoying the wonderfull morning air. Where am I ? you may ask? well ive just stayed my first night in the Hotel Cala Bona In Cala Bona. If the above image has wet your apitite then you are in for a treat, Cala Bona is the type of place that just seems to move along at it's own pace - Cala Bona Time some of the locals call it, yes you do have all teh usual facilites you'd expect in any european holidays resort like cafe's and bars and even the odd night club.Most of the entertainment is hotel based but the hotels spill out on to the pavements and as you walk along the main street at night you...
