Morphy Richards coffee maker
Review of Morphy Richards 47002 CAFE RICO by
vicky_clarance
Advantages: Simple, quick includes milk frother
Disadvantages: milk frother can be messy
...This machine is simple and easy to use, good for those who dont like reading instructions. The machine is easy to load with water and has a light indicating when its done. It takes ground coffee, so saves on buying pods and a built in filter again saves hassel and expense. The milk frother is heated so ensures that the coffee is kept warm. Again indicated through a light on the front. The milk frother can also be used seperatly for other uses such as hot chocolates! The milk frother can occasionly be slightly messy but only requires a quick wipe down. It fits well into the small kitchen we have. Over all i'd say a good value for money product....

Morphy Richards Home Espresso Machine
Review of Morphy Richards 47003 CAFE RICO by
milky83
Advantages: Cheap, Simple to use, Easy to Clean
Disadvantages: Quite limited on variety of drinks
...This gadget is really easy to use. It is perhaps a little bigger than I expected but sits quite nicely alongside a coffee grinder. It comes with a small booklet that informs you on how to produce various drinks such as lattes, cappucinos and of course espressos.
The main water tank is only small so it has to be filled with the correct amount of water (ie use the glass coffee jug to fill exact water required). It does need freshly ground coffee to be loaded into the filter for every brew. It is really simple to use... just fill with water, add coffee to filter, select "strong" or "weak" brew, press the "on" switch and it does the rest for you. All you have to worry about now is how frothy you want your milk to be.
The machine takes up about a 10" square on the work surface and sits 8" high. It is black and chrome and al surfaces...

My coffee machine
Review of Morphy Richards 47003 CAFE RICO by
flybygirly
Advantages: Strength Adjuster
Disadvantages: It only makes small cups
...Its a lovely looking espresson machine and i\'ve had it a while now and it has never let me down. You do have to be a bit careful when taking the lid off to refill the water as it does get really hot but there is a warning about this on top of the machine. It makes six small cups of coffee so if you like a monster cup then this one might not be for you. It is quite a big machine so you do need to have a bit of space on your worktop for it. But overall it makes a lovely cup of coffee and it has an adjuster so that you can have it weak or very strong. So its very versitile and i would definately recommend it....

One for the coffee lovers
Review of Morphy Richards 47004 CAFE RICO by

Advantages: Does all types of coffee for a small price compared to other combination coffee makers.
Disadvantages: Water reservoir on filter coffee maker not very accessible.
...I’m a coffee addict, let’s face it, who isn’t?
The majority of the population rely on a coffee first thing in the morning to kick start their day.
At one point I was drinking 5 cups of coffee a day at work and several at home in the evening. It wasn’t until I joined the gym several months back that my trainer told me to cut right back as I drank way too much and so I did.
He told me that caffeine holds cellulite in the body and now I only drink a couple of cups a week.
But now, I am finding it incredibly hard to resist coffee as our new coffee maker is fantastic.
The Morphy Richards Caf Rico combination coffee maker is the latest addition to our kitchen. It cost £59.05 from Argos and is a nice graphite and silver colour to match our kitchen.
As well as looking good, it makes filter coffee, cappuccino, espresso and lattés and it also...

the best coffee machine this side of the cafe rico
Review of Morphy Richards 47003 CAFE RICO by
doctorloz
Advantages: cheap and cheerful, reliable, noyhing to go wrong
Disadvantages: lack of steam jet, but I can live with that
...If you are looking for an inexpensive , easy to use, inobtrusive, practical expresso coffee maker with a stylish appearance by a well known manufacturer, then you could do a lot worse than me. I originally only bought this one because it was one of the cheapest ones instore (asda). When I got it home, to be quite honest, I was a little bit on the disappointed side because what looked to be a steam jet for heating the milk shown on the box, turned out to be a milk frother.
However, since I started to use it I think it is the bestest gadget in the kitchen. My wife can't believe her luck because I never used to make the coffee and now she never does.
The machine took about thirty seconds to figure out and I had the best cup of coffee I have ever tasted within 10 minutes. And there is no need for a steam jet because as long as you...

Just one more cup :)

Advantages: choice of coffee tpye easy to use
Disadvantages: Large machine takes up alot of work space
...When our last coffee machine finally gave up from over use, we got this one. As my husband only drinks coffee having a machine was a must in our house.
We chose the cafe rio as we wanted to have a choice of coffee we normally use the filtered coffee every day but like to have an espresso or cappuccino as a treat or when friends come round.
There is one water tank for the filter side and one for the espresso side both are filled from the top of the machine and are easy to get to provided there is space above the machine to fully lift the lid.
On the filter side once the lid is up you have access to the water tank and also where the coffee is to go to be filtered, on the lid is also a control for the strenght of the coffee. This basically works by the rate the water passes through the coffee. This can make upto 10 cups of coffee...

Hmm a lovely cup
Review of Morphy Richards 47004 CAFE RICO Combi by
kamallan
Advantages: Easy to use and strength preference
Disadvantages: milk looks like scrambled egg
...I love this machine. i bought it just over a year ago for £50 from Currys. It comes with a two years manufacturers warranty and Currys do there own which is £9.99 for 3 years instant replacement. Watch out though, if you get it when it is full price (£55) the three year warranty is £19.99.
I have tried many varieties of coffees and my tip is buy the fair trade, not only better for the economy but also tastes much nicer!
This is a very easy machine to use although you have to be careful not to thread the top of the machine when you put the the water in.
The filter is washable which is always handy as it stops you having to spend lots of money on replacement parts.
The filter coffee stays really hot on the warming plate which isanother benefit of the machine. If you are like me and like to have several cups an hour then this is a must...

Great coffee maker !
Review of Morphy Richards 47002 CAFE RICO by

Advantages: easy to use and clean.
Disadvantages: none.
...I love coffee and seem to go through a lot of coffee makers lol, i was in town just in a shop which sells a bit of everything when i saw this coffee maker it was on a special price of 7 pounds, because it had no filter inside, so that meant i would have to buy paper filters , which to me didn,t matter it was worth it as i had saw this coffee maker in other shops for around 30 pounds , i think argos sell it .
I liked this coffee maker as it looked really nice , it is black with a glass jug and a stinless stell milk frother .
The buttons on the machine are silver.
You can select the strength of the coffee by a switch on the top of the machine.
It is very easy to use.
~ To make coffee ~
First lift up the hinged lid, then fill the machine with water , this is best done with a jug but not with the one that comes with it .
I got water all...

One lump or two?!
Review of Morphy Richards 47002 CAFE RICO by
midjet666
Advantages: Fantastic quality coffee, not too expensive, good value for money!
Disadvantages: having to empty the filter!!!!
...~Specifications~
Removable Washable Filter
Warming Plate
Variable Coffee Strength
Heat Resistant Glass
Filter paper required
Stainless Steel
My mom bought one of these for her boyfriend, and we haven't stopped using it. It leaves an amazing aroma, and gives the coffee a full and rich flavour.
It has a special electric whisk so you can 'froth' your milk for cappucinos, or just add frothy milk to your drinks!
It's very easy to use, you just add the coffee in the top (you have to have the special filter coffee!!!) you pour in the water with an easy to measure glass jug, ( you can see how much water is in it up the side of the machine). You have to make sure the filter is secure- by turning it to the left hand side to lock it (it has this written on the appliance so it's not like you'll forget it) Then you just press the button...
