...Mr and Mrs Smith 2005, Rating 15, 20th Century Fox Production Starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as on screen husband and wife Mr and Mrs Smith, little did we know that they would end up of screen lovers as well? I have to say watching this film my heart did go out to Jennifer Aniston, (Brad's Ex; I wonder if she has watched it) because the passionate chemistry between Pitt and Joile was very hot indeed. Story: The film starts with Mr and Mrs Smith at a marriage guidance counselling session, at this point the couple have been together about 5 or 6 years, as they begin to tell the story of how they met we are introduced to a series of flash backs. The hardest bit was choosing our next house, we had such a difficult time that I decided to write something. It is written from the viewpoint of a buyer trying to choose a house. I have presented this review in the form of three of the worst houses we visted and a few pointers as to where I think each went wrong. ~Case 1, Mr. Smith~ Mr and Mrs Cad turn up at the doorstep, Mrs Cad is already upset before the door is opened, as there is a doormat that reads 'Beware of the Wife'. ...Before I start I just want to apologise to most of the other reviews for this film as I vehemently disagree with them. On paper, Mr and Mrs Smith seems like a cant miss blockbuster. The hottest male and female a - listers in the business, a director coming off the Bourne identity arguable one of the coolest actions in recent times and a nice little twist, Husband and wife assassins both unaware of their partners secret occupation. There is obvious scope for great action scenes, comedic mishaps and Bad and Angie strutting around on screen for a couple of hours. The movie starts well and there are a couple of laughs as the Smiths go about their business of killing unbeknownst to the other and it seems like this could be an ok movie. ...Are You Being Served is for sale in most video stores, usually in the bargain bins. Most video stores do not have a section for seventies smut, and so Are You Being Served fits somewhat oddly between classic comedy and cult. It is typically seventies; overdone, obscure and obtuse. How you take to this particular comedy is very much a personal preference. My friends and I enjoy most cultish classic comedies, although very few of us enjoyed Are You Being Served. The plots are always unforgettable, so substantive comments must be made on the characters.
