Advantages: Good actor voices, good atmosphere and you do get to solve crimes.
Disadvantages: Some changes compared to the book, very repetitive, lacks locations to explore.

...BEHIND THE SCENES/CAST The first of a series of four Agatha Christie films to be released during the 1970's - 80's, 'Murder on the Orient Express' found great success with a wide audience and has stayed a firm favourite with movie fans the world over since. Due mainly to the strength of its plot and the acting ability of the ensemble cast its success has led to it being put out in a DVD format alone, rather than in a box set with the other three. The cast is an excellent one; a gathering of such famous people was literally unheard of. We have the notable theatre actor Albert Finney playing the great detective Hercule Poirot, with what I think is a restrained and engaging performance. The trip, costing approximately £400 for two people, buys you a "Movable Feast", a five-course meal and a five hour train ride through the Kent countryside. The journey will depend on where you join the train. The Orient Express runs journeys all over the UK main land and a small number of continental destinations are also available (these would obviously be much more expensive). There is also the choice of being “pulled” by a diesel locomotive or Steam Engine, although this will cost more. Our day started at about 11.30 a.m. when we embarked at Victoria Station. When one of the passengers is stabbed a dozen times and killed on the train Poirot investigates, partly due to guilt as the murder victim asked him for help just before he was killed and partly as a favour to his old friend Signor Bianchi who is also on the journey. With a carriage full of potential suspects, how on earth will Poirot find out what actually happened and who was responsible? Murder on the Orient Express was released in 1974 with a story set roughly 40 years before that. ...Andrenyi - a beautiful young woman, her husband - Count Andrenyi who adores her, Cyrus Hardman - a detective, Edward Masterman is the murdered man's valet, quite a polite chap, Antonio Foscanelli - a large Italian man who is suspected only because Monsieur Bouc doesn't like Italians (LOL), Greta Ohlsson - a nurse, Hildegarde Schmidt - Princess Dragomiroff's maid. Last but not least you have Pierre Michel the conductor on board the Orient Express. One by one Poirot interviews all of the above characters to get to the truth - a truth which is incomprehensible... 13 suspects in all, but whodunit? ...Murder is a Hindi language film which stars Mallika Sherawat, Ashmit Patel and Emraan Hashmi with support from Raj Zutshi and a couple of others not really worth mentioning. The film is directed by Anurag Basu, written by Mahesh Bhatt, produced by Mukesh Bhatt and was released in 2004. PLOT Simran (Sherawat) and Shudir (Patel) live in Bangkok where Sudhir is employed as a Computer something or other. Simran works part-time and spends the rest of her time looking after her 5 year old step-son who also happens to be her dead sister's son. Simran's sister Sonya was married to Shudir and when she died Simran married him to take care of him and the child as she felt guilty about her sister's death.
