...A fantastic, fun book, written especially for a 2 year old about the impact a brother or sister will make to his every day life. On discovering that I was expecting my second child, the question how do we tell our son and how do we prepare him for the change it will make to his life came about. Benjamin was 2 ½ when I became pregnant and although there are some good books out there, most were well beyond his level of understanding at the time. Off I trotted to my local Borders Bookstore highly motivated and hormonally charged. I struggled to find anything in the children’s department and being as I was and constantly having to run to the loo, there was no time to loose so I grabbed an assistant and she directed me straight to this one. Advantages: imaginitive play
Disadvantages: none

...on it (more secret) and give my dolls cups of tea pretend to be my mum “ do you want a cup of tea Ellen” “you know my little girl Mary has been so naughty” A good place to have a Wendy house is outside. A garden shed is a good place cleared of all garden junk .A few house toys installed a cooker, a small chair a table some cupboards/drawers. A toy telephone a toy tea set a few dolls a dolls cot/bed any house toys or real ones you no longer need. A garden shed can be converted into a playhouse easily then back to a shed when no longer used for play. There are a few Wendy houses that can be used outside put up like a tent. These are good but I prefer to have the shed it is always there and does not need taking down, put inside at night. I had a Wendy house my dad made me a shed outside. why is my dad obsessed with the house doctor

Advantages: Points out scruffiness to oblivious homeowners
Disadvantages: Unnecessary tarting up of already nice homes

...My dad plans to put my house up for sale early next year.This is fine by me because I'll be at university and I'm actually releived that he is trying to escape Bradford.However..I do have a HUGE problem with his plans on how to sell the house.Everbody knows the obvious tricks......have a pot of coffee on the stove and fresh flowers everywhere but "Dr".Anne of House Doctor fame has my dad running about trying to gather the most obscure materials in order to get rid of our house. Every week without fail,he tunes in to "Dr".Anne and her lazy American drawl,almost salivating at the gems she is about to disclose. God knows where "Dr" Anne obtained her doctorate from, doubtless it was the University of how to draw attention to yourself by being rude, obnoxious and American on a third-rate and exceptionally crap daytime TV programme...
