Also known as AoE the Age of Empires series consists of 2 games and various expansions. The most modern AoE yet it is set in the colonial age. And features the usual civilian units (to collect resources, build and hunt) and the military units (to fight and skirmish other countries). Plus a lot of new additions to game play such as the 'home city' part and 'treasure' that can be found on maps. Advantages: Good realistic graphics
Disadvantages: Annoying music

...with the built in scenario creator. At the start of the game you will need to find wood, food, stone and gold in order to make buildings and create more people. Unexplored areas of map are black to start of with but when you move any unit there you will see whats underneath . When you move away again there is mist that stops you from seeing enemys. Building guard towers around your empire protect it and warn you of arriving enemies. During any game you can save it then carry on as you wish. This game as brought a whole new age of strategy games to computer gaming.... Read review

Advantages: Beautiful, inexpensive, peaceful
Disadvantages: Not for teens, Ponies that will not move!

...To say our trip started with a frosty welcome would be an understatement; think glacial. The New Forest is one of England's few expanses of natural beauty; you can drive among wild ponies and cattle for what seems like hours (or literally is, if they don’t move!) For this reason myself a mixed group of A-level students thought we would like to relax and get over the exam stresses and set off expectantly on our trip... Having phoned ahead that morning to the check space 'Hollands Wood' assured us there was plenty of room, so we were somewhat dismayed upon arrival to find they had become 'full' in a matter of hours. Unperturbed we used the handy map to navigate to Rounhill campsite, here we were met by a ranger who told us that they 'didn't accept youngsters as some are trouble.'
