...I'll have to confess, I was a bit dubious about this one at first. All I could think about was how they were going to translate the game system of monopoly into a card based format. I'm pleased to report though that the game is very good, precisely because they avoided trying to do just that. Rather than trying to port the mechanics of the game to a new format, they've worked at remaining loyal to two things, (1) the visual look of the game and (2) the aim of the game. The idea is still to collect matching properties, build hotels and such, all the while making as much money as possible, but rather than the running round the board technique, they've come up with a system not to far from the gin-rummy card game. ...As seems to be the case everytime a Japanese cartoon reaches the US, a card game must be created amidst the tide of merchandising. after all, Pokemon TGC took over the world, even replacing Magic: The Gathering as the world's number one. Now Score are attempting the same with their effort, the Dragonball Z CCG. Dragonball Z is the latest smash Japanese anime brought to the West, becoming almost as popular as those Pokcet Monsters. As battling is the main theme of the show, it converts to a card battling game well. In the Dragonball Z card game, you choose your favourite character from the show, be he the heroes (Goku or Gohan) or the villains (the Saiyans, Vegeta, Nappa and Raditz). ...I may not be that old but I can remember playing video games all my life, right back to the Ataris of the late 1980s, the Sega of the early 90s, my Playsation 1, N64, PS2 and my current Xbox 360. I have decided to compile a definite list of my all time 10 favourite video games. They span multiple game formats and consoles from my many years of gaming. For obvious reasons it's quite difficult to choose which order to put them in - for example there probably isn't much preference for the game I ranked 10th over the 9th one, I can be clear in my opinions for the top few because they are really the games I know and love. ...is pretty boring, because the Blizzard team could of come up with something more interesting like, Diablo II: Diablo’s resurrection. The Game: The game takes place in different areas called Acts, these being: Act 1- Moors, Act 2- Desert, Act 3- Jungle and finally, the hardest, Act 4- Hell. After each Act there is a Boss, and I’ll tell you more about them later in the op. Each Act becomes more challenging as the monsters/creatures learn new, better and stronger spells. There are four difficulty levels to choose from, after you have completed the game in Normal mode. The difficulty settings are based on evil, being Normal, Nightmare, Hell and Hardcore. ...in order to change them into different words, you can also change one letter within the existing word and go on to make a new word off this word - enabling you to score more points. For example, if the word on the board was 'BOSS' and it was your turn, assuming you had the correct letters, you could turn 'BOSS' into 'LOSS,' again assuming you have the correct letters you can then go on to make another new word which includes the letter 'L' - so if you had the letters M, I, L K you could make the word MILK and where you have laid the 'L' over the 'B' from 'BOSS' you have now also created the new word 'LOSS.'
