...playback isn't quite as good as the dimensions of the screen are a little unusual, but to be honest, if you're looking for something to watch movies on whilst on the go, you probably wouldn't be going with something with a 2 inch screen. The nano is 8gb, and it is said that it can save up to 2000 songs. I have just over 1000 on mine and it says it still has over 4GB left, so I believe this to be accurate but I haven't filled it up completely yet in order to comment. I have heard complaints about the sound quality of the ipod, but to be honest I didn't find anything wrong with it at all. It sounded perfect to me with the earphones it came with, so I'm not sure what the other complaints are about! ...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The navigation on the ipod nano is pretty intuitive. The main menu is clear and you can scroll through and select what you want to do. This is where the scrolling touchpad becomes particularly useful as if you are looking through a large number of songs it makes it a very smooth and easy movement just to glide through them rather than having to click through buttons. A new musical media player that stormed the world and is an every day product to most people in the UK now. The 2nd gen. is smaller, has longer battery life and has brighter back light (plus more). The 1st gen. of nano was only available in white or black. They had a metal back plate and it wasn't uncommon for them to snap! But where over all great. The 2nd gen. The Ipod nano also acts as a photo album taking pictures off your computer and onto your Ipod with a simple viewer or a slideshow setting to display the images. .............here are the specs: *SPECIFICATION* *It weighs only 1.5 ounces which is incredibly light, especailly if you compare it to the much larger iPODS. *Size is 3.5 x 1.6 x 0.27 which was only to be expected it was going to be this small. *The Screen display is 1.5 inches and is colour screen unlike some of the previous iPODs. The picture quality is really quite good, and in terms of photographs and pics, you can store them as Jpeg, BMP, and GIF most commonly. * Can store upto 240 songs but not always, it depends on the size of each of your songs. For me this wasn't enough so i ended up giving my nano to my sister and then buying a new one. *Slim design and really simple with a touch sensitive pad. Easy to use. ...previously been repaired for another customer. Unfortunately all my songs and pictures had been lost, this was explained to me before I sent the machine to Apple. They advised me to back up all my tunes and pictures to my ITUNES library on my PC. The new IPOD was soon playing my tunes again when I downloaded them back from the software on my PC. The quick response gave me much respect for Apple as the warranty always there if i ran into future problems. I then purchased a docking station for my nano so i could listen to the crisp quality of mp3 at home in my bedroom. Not only did my tunes sound great, my ipod charged at the same time. It was only after a few days of ownership, that my nano started to look less shiny and sleek. ...Apple iPod Nano 8GB Black I personally love the new design of the Apple iPod Nano. They are very reliable and easy to use. The battery life is great and the video quality is outstanding. The graphics are excellent all round including the video playback. I have dropped my iPod so many times that I have lost count. They are very durable which is great if you are clumsy. With 8 GB of memory you can store about 2,000 songs or 8 hours of video or 7,000 photos, which you can browse whenever you want. The battery life on the iPod is also great. But to anyone totally new to the ipod nano sensation, here's the lowdown:The nano is a small mp3 player, as thick as a pencil and made out of aluminium. It has a 1.5 inch LCD screen with considerably more brighness than the previous models. It comes in 1gb, 2gb, 4gb and 8gb models. ...has become fiercer than ever, and while more advanced players are being developed - Apple are hanging on for dear life with a conception that has gotten old. The new range of Ipod's, (a second generation shuffle has also been released and the video should be updated in the new year) is in my opinion, a marketing ploy that will enforce Apple's 'name' and keep them relatively safe from any competition, at least for the next few months.
