...Band Of Brothers DVD boxset; In a word; AMAZING! If your into your world war stories and want to know how it was like on the ground, this is the series to watch. Being able to watch them one after another is what really makes the set worth while. The personal stories told in each episode really make you feel like you know the soldiers especially with the opening and closing scenes where the real life vets tell of how they really felt. This makes the difference between the try hards and the real life. The character performances are second to none, with the best special effects I have seen The boxset obviously comes with special features which I havent seen, however i have been told that they are just as good as the series. An amazing story of amazing courage, by amazing directors and of course, this gets my vote... Read review

Their music seems to be made up from a series of sounds from the old Atari games, perhaps the inspiration for thier name from the early 80s game also called Crystal Castle For a relatively new band, only forming in about 2004, they have already made a name collaborating with ready-popular groups such as bloc party, the whip and the klaxons-all can be seen on youtube. The best way to describe the sound of the crystal castles could be to imagine your old atari or nintendo assaulting you with its soundcard from across the room, with some tracks sounding like a balls-out thrash. ...The Clinique Glosswear for Lips Shimmers Set is a set of lip glosses that comes packaged in a cool clear hard plastic case. I received these for a present and was very excited by their appearance- I was very pleased! You get five lip glosses in the pack in a range of different colours: Crystal, Sunset, Sunshine, Whisper and Mystic. This does not tell you very much about the actual colours of the glosses as I am sure you will agree. The thing is though when you apply the gloss to your lips I found that regardless of which colour gloss you use, your lips do not actually vary that much in colour. The gloss does however, gives a nice shine and a healthy look to your lips. I would say that the glosses probably accentuate your natural lip colour. ...This box set is one of the most amazing things I have ever purchased and watched. It includes great actors such as Damian Lewis plays as Maj. Richard D. Winters Donnie Wahlberg plays as 2nd Lt. C. Carwood Lipton Ron Livingston plays as Capt. Lewis Nixon Matthew Settle plays as Capt. Ronald Speirs Rick Warden plays as 1st Lt. Harry Welsh Neal McDonough plays as 1st Lt. Advantages: A very powerful and thought provoking account of the men of Easy Company. The different emotions that the soldiers experienced at the pain that many felt. The special effects are outstanding and the directors Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg do a great job
Disadvantages: The images can be very alarming and do reflect the hardship and danger of war

...~Introduction~ I recently borrowed the entire Band of Brothers collection from a friend at school. There was a big party at his house and I stumbled across the DVD set whilst ‘nosing around’. I instantly exclaimed: ‘Band of Bruvva’s!’ I had remembered seeing bits and pieces of it on the television a few years back and immediately asked if I could borrow it. So borrow it I did and I have sat and watched through the whole thing in the past few days. The Second World War is something that has always interested me in many ways, although I have had rather limited exposure to the events that took place. I have never really come across an enjoyable, if you can out it that way, form of learning about what happened some 60 years ago. Advantages: A fair and honest portrayal of the US "Citizen Soldiery " of WWII

Advantages: Was an excellent programme.
Disadvantages: Not being made any more. Used to make me hoarse from shouting.

.... We bond. Quite well actually. A good laugh was had by all. We are advised to get to bed early because... ***POPULAR MISCONCEPTION NUMBER 2*** "45 minutes, of what looks like live TV, takes 45 minutes to film." ...the next day and a half are going to be very tiring. We had to be on set at 9am the next morning. Up the next morning after a fitful nights sleep, because darn it, I was a little more than excited. Breakfast with the gang and then off to the "studio". The studio was actually an aircraft hanger at an airfield. Inside this huge structure were the four Zones and the Crystal Dome. The whole thing did in fact exist in the same way as it is portrayed in that graphic map that they show in the series. The four zones are all connected with the passageways and the dome really is in the middle of it all. Up close... Read review

Advantages: Reminds us of our past history
Disadvantages: How we neglect the past and historic building.

...to be set up and in doing so gave us the Albert Hall, The Science Museum, The National History Museum and The Victoria and Albert Museum. The building was divided into a small series of sections depicting the history of art and the architecture from ancient Egypt through to the Renaissance and also exhibits from industry and the natural world. Major concerts were also held in the Palace's huge arched Centre Transept which also contained the world's largest organ. This Transept also held a circus and was the setting for real daring stunts of the time by tightrope walker Blondin (he tight roped across Niagara Falls). The first ever Motor Show and Cat, Dog, Pigeon and Flower Shows were also held here over the years. The Crystal Palace itself was almost outshone by the park that it was sited in.
