...Having been a heavy user of palm pda's for a few years I was reluctant to part with them, however it was getting a bind carrying my mobile phone and pda around with me. I thought long and hard about the choices and decided to stick with Palm and go for the Treo 750v. I sold my phone and pda on ebay and away I went. I have now used the Treo for 4 weeks and feel I made the right decision... why? The treo if is has any fault is larger than my mobile phone and it took some getting used to the size, also I don't always get the same clarity with reception. This model cost in the range of £350.00 new. The good points are: Great mobile phone, useful diary, calender and all that you need in a "portable" office. The size is right, the feel of it is good, rounded, and comfortable to use. A good user friendly hand portable PC for Internet use. It is a "good-looker" without doubt! Best style from Palm. Advantages: It's the new Treo 650! But it's a 680!

...The Treo 680. A fantastic upgrade from the treo 600 and treo 650. Unless you are an Orange customer. I found out to my disgust that when my Treo 650 went badly wrong, Orange could no replace with another 650 nor could they upgrade me to a 680, as their agreement with Treo had ended. Sad. So did my contract with Orange. Treo was and remains the best on the market in my mind. They pre-date the Blackberry and have always been better than any Blackberry model. Easy to use, fast and full of so many features, you'll think it's the Sunday Times in your palm. The Treo 680 in grey and silver - and I think there is a red version on the market, too. Many of the original features from its old 600 and 650 predecessors are retained, such as the single switch at the top of the unit to switch the ringer on or off. Simple. And miles... Read review

...Back in June when Palm had the 'football game' competition on, I won my trusty little (well actually rather large) treo 650. I believe that the only reason I find it large is because I have had lighter, smaller sony ericsson phones beforehand. I wasn't too sure that I would enjoy the 'Treo experience' at first, but boy I was wrong. I love the phone to bits. I know there was a few problems with the original 650s sent out with the original firmware, but as far as I'm concerned it is absolutely brilliant. The Screen:- I admitt that it is not the latest technology, as there are 262k screens out there now. ...This is a well thought-out device with a good touch sensitive screen and a surprisingly usable keyboard, even for people like me, with fat fingers. I have used Palm OS PDAs for many years so I have a lot of data and applications from previous devices that I want to maintain and I was keen to stay with the Palm OS operating system rather than switch to Windows at this stage. It was easy to move the Treo 680 from my Palm T5 without any loss of data. Now I only need to carry one device instead of a PDA and a phone. The stylus is a bit fiddly to use when compared to the chunky T5 one, but then the stylus is not needed as much given that the keyboard replaces the need for text entry with the stylus. ...The PalmOne Treo 650 is a very expensive phone / PDA. Fortunately the company I work for supplies this to me other wise I probably would not have given it a second glance. The Treo 650 looks a tidy aesthetically pleasing item, with a reasonable size screen showing 320 x 320 pixel resolution and is touch sensitive. The keyboard on the Treo 650 is a delight, it sits underneath the screen and has large sized buttons with a raised face to allow quick correct typing. The navigation button sits between the screen and the keyboard in the centre of the phone. There are six more buttons along side this and are basic quick launch buttons to save you scrolling through the menu, I like this as it can save you a lot of time.
