...I bought Palmers Cocoa Butter when I recieved notice that I was pregnant with my first child about three years ago. All of my friends kept telling me "you are only 110 lbs....your stretch marks are going to be huge"! So I decided to take their advice they gave me on a product called Palmers Cocoa Butter. Needless to say...I worried about the stretch mark issue for the entire pregnancy. Besides the worries, my skin was always dry anyway...so I figured what could it hurt buying a moisturizer. Even if it doesn't work on those awful stretch marks, at least I will be moisturized! I bought Palmers Cocoa Butter and used it faithfully (3 times a day), for the entire 9 months of pregnancy! ...Palmers Massage Cream for Stretch Marks Upon falling pregnant I was petrified of my body turning into stretch mark central; where as a lot of unfortunate teens accumulated stretch marks during puberty I had been fortunate enough to escape such an occurrence and I didn’t want to get them now either. The tube was white and stands approximately 8 inches tall, on the front as well as the brand name and informative text is an outline picture of a pregnant woman. Upon flipping back the life of the tube I could smell the contents, a mild coconut oil smell - that typical of the Palmers range. Advantages: Really does smooth stretch marks, smells great, skin softens

...into the areas affected and after a while (i dont want to give a specicif time, i assume it is different for all skin types - it took mine about 6 months) they stretch marks begin to fade. Mine have totally ost their redness they used to have, and now only in some lights can you catch a glimps of a silvery line, which a tan instantly hides anyway. I am also confident that when, in the distant future, i become pregnant, Palmers have given my skin the elasticity it needs to take the stretching without leaving stretch marks. If you are young, use this stuff to prevent, if you are older, this cream really helps. If i have a daughter, i will definitely make her use this to prevent her from suffering the embarassment of teenage years with added scars, and if you are a mum, and dont want your daughter to get them, try this, it will definitely help... .... It also makes a great base for your makeup, I always find that mine stays on all day after I've used this in the morning! The tube says it "softens and relieves rough, dry skin" but I think it does so much more than that! To me, Palmers is a miracle cream, and definately one of my 'must have' beauty products!... ...About a year ago I was looking for a good cream that could get rid of cellulite and stretch marks. I came across Palmers in Sainsburys and it mentioned how effective it was with scars/uneven skin tone etc. After a little research I bought the item and found it surprisingly effective. The only downsides were that it smelt too much like I just rubbed a whole lot of chocolate on my skin and the fact that the bottle was annoying as it didn't have a pump BUT this has now been rectified, I recently saw the new pump versions in a Superdrugs. Otherwise, it's easily absorbed on the skin, and you'll feel the moisturised area smoothing very quickly. Anyway, am on the process of losing weight and a lot of other people have sworn by this product as being extremely helpful towards getting rid of unsightly marks as well as firming the skin... ...I've used this product quite a few times as an all over body moisturizer and also night face cream. I find it's best to use after a bath and and night before I go to sleep. Cocoa butter in it's natural form is a well known moisturizer with great properties that benefit the skin and I think the Palmers cocoa butter not only smells really like cocoa but also has more real cocoa in it than some other products. I prefer the cream to lotion as it's easy to absorb into my skin and isn't greasy. It also lasts and keeps my skin moisturized up until the next day. And I've found using it regularly makes my skin look smoother and more well toned. I haven't really used it for scars or stretch marks and just use it as a beauty cream. it's also good for rough skin around the elbows or knees and after a few weeks it makes the problem disappear... ...This is new to me and I am editing it based on members comments. Thanks for your help! I started using Palmers Coca Butter about 8 years ago and the first thing I noticed was the chocolatey vanillary smell (if I've spelt that right). It is very thick and you can feel it moisturising deep into your skin from the moment you apply it rather than just leaving a greasy film. Another great advantage of Palmers CB is for when you've got sunburn. We've all done it. Spent too much time in the sun craving for that heavenly tanned body only to go in at the end of the day looking like a lobster! Well, if you end up like this after a day in the sun then take out the Palmers. I'm not encouraging you to go out and burn but Palmers will ease the pain and soreness in no time. ...I tried many creams and moisturizers but they never seemed to work for me, they always made my skin too gresy and then my skin would soak it all up nd become dry after a few hoours. I tried Palmer's cocoa butter a few months ago and i've been using it ever since. It moisturizerises me skin just to the right level, lasts a long time and smells great. Cocoa butter can butter can be used by anyone world wide and i would recommend it to anyone. It's main ingredients are made up of natural aspects such as; water and theobrama cacao(cocao extract). ...Palmers Cocoa Butter is my "holy grail" body moisturiser. I have strayed away and tried many others but I always come back to this one. This moisturiser is recommented to "Soften, Smooths and Relieve Dry Skin", and it is also the most commonly used prevention for stretch marks in pregnancy. Since I've never been pregnant, I can't comment on how effective it is for that, but I believe it did help fade the adolescent stretch marks I have on my upper thighs. The moisturiser comes in a 250ml opaque white bottle. It is also availible in a 150ml tub with a screw off lid, but to me the consistancy seemed the same and they are the same price, so I always buy the bottle. The bottle has a recessed pop opening, ie, you push down and one side pops out with an opening. Squeeze the bottle gently and out comes the moisturiser. The information... Read review
