Taking a tour like this was fun especially since we had read the book and were looking forward to the movie. The mother of all museums - The Louvre Once a fortress to protect Paris against Viking raids and then extended by kings and emperors over centuries. Today the building itself is huge and it houses an enormous art collection. Apart from the Eiffel tower this must be another place that is hard to miss when in Paris. We decided to go there after we had the Da Vinci walk. Tip! Remember that there are a couple of entrances for the museum. Advantages: So much to do and see, great restaurants etc - if you know where to look...
Disadvantages: Unless you know the city and metro system, you end up wasting valuable time

...- some great Latino places, along with pretty much every other type of cuisine you can think off. I had to go to the Eiffel Tower again, and again at night, along with another ride on the ferris wheel at the end of the Champs Elysees - you get a fantastic view of the street at night. (It was loaned to Birmingham at the end of 2003 / start of 2004 , and apparently was a great success - but somehow I can't get excited about looking at Stechley and surrounding areas in the same way…) Doing the river trip down the Seine was great, apart from forgetting my camera that day. The Sacre Coeur isn't particularly impressive but getting up to it by foot i an achievement. The area around Moulin Rouge looks even seedier than I'd imagined. The Hagen Das café on the Champs Elysees is pure decadence and thus is of course an essential part of your Paris... Read review

When I first heard this song , I thought it was terrible but the more I began to hear it on the radio , the more I grew to like it. I like how this song has a great summer feel to it and I liked how the video for it completed it so well , with the beach scenes. It is a great summer tune. It is a pop song that will get you singing along. It's very catchy. I feel the only let down of this song is Paris's vocals ; although soft and gentle , they're so weak and quiet and not that in tune either. There isn't much energy in her voice ; she sounds as though she can'r be bothered when she's singing this. ...'s balcony. I didn't really like laying in bed with the window open incase a head popped round! The view from this side was a quiet road, with lovely apartments opposite and you could see a busy Paris road, so it was nice to actually see Paris this time! Noisy nights and dangerous driving Paris is generally a noisy city, it's known for hectic roads and crazy drivers, so throughout the day and night you'll be hearing lots of hoots and sirens, one evening we witnessed a small three car pile up which was quite entertaining (no one was hurt!) but there was lots of french cursing. You'll learn how to cross the roads carefully around the hotel, lots of it is one way, but the first time I ever went it was quite daunting. Just cross when other pedestrians cross, you go when you see a green arrow basically, it's probably not safe to cross... Read review

...and Disneyland Paris. It is also in walking distance of Montmartre and Le Galleries Lafayette. I felt that our hotel was in a prime location making it easy for us to get around the city. Paris itself is a very noisy city; being the capital of France this should be expected. There is always a lot of noise around including during the evenings and at night time. The fact that our hotel was situated in such an area did not make it any better; this was clearly visible with our balcony doors open. However, the hotel offers soundproofed rooms, as standard to combat this noise, of which I will go into more detail later. Overall for the location I would give it a 9/10, we never struggled to find anything that we were looking for, apart from the hotel itself in the first instance. ...I stayed at the Best Western Premier Eiffel Park in early May of this year for six nights. My mother and I booked into a twin room via the Best Western website as it had the cheapest rates, around 120 euros a night for non-refundable internet rates (there were several listed rates). I chose the hotel based on positive reviews from a few review sites, location and price being my primary needs. Having been to Paris once before I knew that at this price range we were looking for comfortable and adequate, likely small rooms. There were a few others that seemed a bit more charming/unique but they were booked as we left it a bit late. I was a little bit wary of the Best Western chain in Paris as had read many reviews of other Best Western hotels in the city that weren't very nice and shuffled people about to other hotels. ...Goal Our goal for a hotel in Paris this time was to find a decent hotel at a low price and centrally located. There are thousands of hotels in Paris and it is not easy to know which site to use to book a hotel and which area to stay in. I'm not sure how we narrowed it down to Tim hotel Tour Eiffel but our checking included reading some reviews at TripAdvisor and it looked like it fit our profile. We booked through the hotel's homepage directly and we paid an average of 86 € per night for the room (a total of 608 €) for the week. The hotel It was very easy to find the hotel when we came to Paris. We arrived at the metro station Dupleix and the hotel entrance was located just a minute walk around the corner. ...Paris is without doubt one of the loveliest cities in the world (and I've been to quite a few). In fact, now that I haven't been there for a while I am getting a craving to go back. The architecture is beautiful, with Notre-Dame and the Louvre obviously dominating, but other areas are gorgeous too, like the Tuileries gardens. I studied French at Uni and it is dead coolt o go around and see all the places you've heard about. I stayed with a friend who lives in Vincennes, and would thoroughly recommend a visit to the Bois de Vincennes and the Chateau, which has a rather nasty dungeon to inspect. Apart from that, the atmosphere in Paris is great - whether you're buying food at street markets, sipping a hugely overpriced drink on the Champs-Elysees or browsing through second hand bookshops.
