Paul Mitchell - Great Products, Great Ethos
Review of Paul Mitchell by
shazzaspannered
Advantages: Products smell absolutely divine and are great for your hair
Disadvantages: Can be expensive so save for a treat
...I think we all have certain products or ranges of products that we seem to rate very highly. Some of mine include - Heinz, Cadburys, Loreal, Dior, and Lancome.
Don't get me wrong I also love own brand products and am in no way a label snob. Basically if I like something I buy it no matter what the label but there are certain things I must admit I do prefer to others.
For those that know me you will already be aware I adore my health & beauty items and am always trying out new stuff. I must've tried hundreds or haircare products over the years but one brand I always trust and seem to like is Paul Mitchell.
Paul Mitchell was set up 26 years ago by two friends who had a vision of founding a company by hairdressers for hairdressers one that would provide tools of success for hair care professionals, their salons, and the entire...

PAUL MITCHELL OFFERS ME HIS LEMONS ...
Review of Paul Mitchell Shampoo Two by
Tickly
Advantages: Fresh lemon scent, feels soft after washing
Disadvantages: Doesn't lather well enough, pricey
...I have a love/hate battle with my hair. Most of the time it's rebellious with it's bushy frizzy tendencies and only straighteners and a liberal dose of serum can tame it. I am gullible to the claims of most haircare hard sell - tell me that it's the latest thing to be used by top celeb's and I will rush to buy it ... add to this some funky packaging and I am your best customer.
This is where I was going wrong for some time. In my wisdom, I took the advice of a hairdresser and started using products from the Paul Mitchell range which they stocked in the hairdressers I visited at the time. I started with the Sculpting Foam which I loved for it's non-sticky consistency and sampled various other products - especially loving their Freeze & Shine pump hairspray. Then I moved and visited another hairdresser who didn't sell Paul...

Paul Mitchell, hair hero
Review of Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Sculpting Gel by
s_bardell
Advantages: Gives great body and hold
Disadvantages: Can be hard to find a salon selling it
...Me again, Ms very fine hair.
We all know the problem; trying to find the perfect styling product that gives body, volume and shine without overloading the hair making it look lank and greasy.
The perfect solution; Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Sculpting Gel.
'For all hair types. Maximises body and provides incredible shine. This easy to use gel is formulated with body building thickening agents. Contains the Activated Moisturising Blend of Hawaiian awapuhi.'
You apply a pea sized amount to towel dried or dry hair and either style, sculpt or set hair as usual. It has a lovely gentle almost spicy floral aroma.
I have shortish hair which I am in the process of growing out and it is baby fine! I apply it to towel dried hair and then blow dry. It gives fantastic volume and body which stays all day, aided by the Paul Mitchell Dry Wax...

I love paul mitchell
Review of Paul Mitchell by
fairy_170381
Advantages: Have some fantastic products
Disadvantages: Some are a little pricey
...I have to say I am a fan of paul mitchell
My experience started about 5 years ago when i tried some of my mums tea tree shampoo and conditioner, it made my scalp all tingly and left my hair feeling so clean.
From that day I became a fan!!!
Now I tend to stick to a smaller number of their products, after trying out many over the years.
My hair is naturally curly, frizzy and unruly. Therefore takes a lot of work to get it straight and smooth!!!
Best products for hair like mine:
*Super skinny shampoo and conditioner
This is new to the paul mitchell range. It is aimed at hair like mine, if you want to make it smoother, easier to dry, and straight. it works and it smells gorgeus!!!
You can buy it from most salons for around £8 for shampoo and £9 for conditioner, both 300ml.
However visit lookfantastic (see my review...

I love Paul Mitchell massaging my hair
Review of Paul Mitchell Shampoo Two by
orlando
Advantages: Large bottle
Disadvantages: Available from Salons only
...I added this product to the site as it is the shampoo that I have been using for the past two weeks. It isn't my normal brand, well, I don't have a regular brand but ring the changes when my hair starts to drop out, or there is a special offer on in Superdrug.
However... I went to the hairdressers the other week and she was shaking her head whilst looking at my less than silken locks. I looked on despondently in the mirror, both of us chewing our bottom lips. Is there any hope for it? Can it be repaired?
Then she said the magic words 'Paul Mitchell Shampoo two'. A halo of light shone down on the bottle amid a chorus of angels.....
Ok, I lie, but here is the op anyway.
My regular hairdresser Sam has fine hair too and has been using this product for some time. It is one in a range, and is suitable for all hair types...

Paul Mitchell 'Foaming Pommade' No more frizz
Review of Paul Mitchell by
Toady
Advantages: Controls frizz and leaves your hair feeling silky and smooth
Disadvantages: Not cheap to buy
...I use Trevor Sorbie shampoo and conditioner, which is great but since going to a salon I have started to purchase products from Paul Mitchell, I’m sure all these products are great and you’ll know why I say this in a sec.
Because for the first time in months of me trying different products such as Frizz ease to reduce frizzy ness I have actually found one that works it’s called “Foaming Pommade” it costs £4.95 for a 50ml bottle, I know what your thinking expensive but it really does work so I guess you get what you pay for in this case so for some things it does good to pay that little extra.
It’s suitable for all hair types and gives your hair a silky, shiny and smooth look. You only need to apply a little as it does go a very long way, which is pleasing as it’s not cheap.
I have...

Paul Mitchell Medium Hold Super Sculpt
Review of Paul Mitchell by
dannyboy174
Advantages: Quick, no mess styling
Disadvantages: None that I can think of
...I bought mine off the cuff when I happened to pass by the Hairdresser and all those sleek bottles in the window crying out Buy Me! It cost me £5.99 for a 250ml bottle.
I am an old timer when it comes to Paul Mitchell, I have been using the products for years since they were introduced to me by my hairdresser.
I just love this product as I have short spiky hair and have tried many different products. I dislike using wax as it is messy, gel is ok if you can find a good one but it seems to vanish really quickly as you wash off quite alot after styling and again can be a little messy.
I can get away with a dot about the size of a 5p as it is a liquid so apply it to damp hair and bobs your uncle. Hair styled in less than 2 minutes and it holds well, unless you work in a callcentre like I do and the back sometimes gets flattened...

Seal the Frizz!!
Review of Paul Mitchell Heat Sea by
Linzee
Advantages: No more frizziness!!!
Disadvantages: Ruined my necklace!
...Amongst my vast range of hair products are a few Paul Mitchell products. I have been using a few products from the range for nearly three years now and have a few firm favourites. One of them being Heat Seal. Before I tell you about this product let me first tell you how this brand that we all know so well came about.
------The launch of Paul Mitchell ------
Well it was away back in 1979 that two people from the US by the names of John Paul DeJoria and Paul Mitchell decided to launch a professional hair care range. Their main goal was to establish a company as hairdressers for hairdressers.
Their company was called John Paul Mitchell Systems. They decided to sell their products under the brand name that we all know today as Paul Mitchell. The reason for this was because Mr Mitche |
