Advantages: Quick and Easy Self Service - Quality - Professional
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest

...I have a digital camera, and keep my photos on my computer's hard-drive, but occasionally I like to get better and more interesting pictures printed, it just seems so much more natural to hold a real photo than look at it on the screen, plus it's better for showing them to people when a computer or TV isn't available, or giving photos to people who don't have a computer or DVD player. I recently therefore took a batch of my digital photos to Boots to get them printed. Boots now have self service machines for digital photos, which allow either instant, 1 hour or 24 hour printing from various sources. This can be a memory card, a photo CD, or Infra-Red direct from a compatible phone or camera. ...Well, these days everyone likes photo's. Most have digital camera's and so personal photo printers are quickly becoming must have accessories to complement the cameras. Being honest, I myself wasn't too interested in owning a personal photo printer, I was perfectly happy using Boot's online service to get my digital prints or simply use my standard printer, although upon owning one I do find it has it's benefits, especially since I got it free from a friend (originally acquired as a bonus to a mobile phone contract.) Advantages: Excellent print quality
Disadvantages: slightly flimsy

Due to the limited space I have for this printer I don't bother with the output tray, its not particulary essential. ----Specification---- 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution Borderless printing Quiet mode printing (slower but its very! quiet), also photo optimiser and vivid photo tools.
