Plantronics Voyager 510
Review of Plantronics Voyager 510 Headset by
bindie
Advantages: Lightweight, Easy To Use & Reliable
Disadvantages: None As Yet
...This is a very reasonable headset for the £40 paid for it. It can be used on both ears quite easily. This can be done by twisting the over-ear piece to accommodate which ear is preferred. The button configuration on the headset is convenient for both left and right handed people.
I went for this headset because I bought a different Plantronics headset about a year ago and I could find no faults with it. So far, I can find no faults with the new 510. I find that the sound quality is extremely good, and it allows you to hear the conversation easily while driving along in the car.
Also what I find very convenient is the additional cable that allows you to charge the headset in the car from a cigarette lighter. In the box was also 2 other additional ear pieces, that can be changed for every ear.
It is lightweight and easy to carry...

Plantronics .Audio 45 - Headset
Review of Plantronics .Audio 45 Headset by
burnt_out
Advantages: Relatively Cheap.
Disadvantages: Under performer...not overly comfortable to wear.
...Plantronics is one of the biggest names in headsets and has a wide range of products.
The .Audio 45 is lightweight with a very flexible headband, although it is a little on the flimsy side and not overly attractive.
The speaker drivers are constructed from hard plastic and are covered by thin pads. As a result, they aren't very comfortable to wear. Seperate cables come down from both sides, increasing the chances of getting yourself in a tangle.
This headset can be connected either by USB or standard analog connections. However, the microphone plug lacks colour coding, so you're forced to peer at the symbols on the connectors to find out which is which. this isn't too much of an issue, but it makes things more difficult when you're scrabbling about the back of your comnputer. There is a shirt clip, and a volume control with a mute...

I use the Plantronics Vista M12e at work.....
Review of Plantronics Vista M12e Headset amplifier by
attardalia
Advantages: you can talk on the phone leaving your hands free...
Disadvantages: the cable /lead is too short....
...Let me just start by saying that I'm a receptionist and in my line of work it helps to have a system which allows you to have both your hands free because of the multiple tasks that need to be done all at once.
The Plantronics Vista M12e system is useful to me because not only does it have receiver volume control and a transmit volume control but it also has a mute button which allows you to still hear the caller while also being able to speak briefly if needed to other people without interrupting the caller or putting them on hold.
One of the things that annoy me about this system is the cable/lead that has the plug (which goes into the phone port) connected to it; I find that it is too short, this means that I can not move it out of the way thus I find myself always fighting with it.
The other thing you should keep in mind...

Mainly an office product
Review of Plantronics HS 1 Headset by
goldfishlou
Advantages: Durable, light, good microphone, inbuilt volume control/microphone mute slider
Disadvantages: Mostly for business use/audioconferencing, model discontinued
...The Plantronics is a product essentially designed for use in the office environment. In terms of audiovisual conferencing, speech recognition or Internet telephony, the HS-1 is a great product. Its high-sensitivity adjustable microphone lets you place it for optimal sound quality, and the noise-cancelling system in place on the microphone means that speech-recognition systems are more accurate than with other cheaper headsets. However, it's also good for music, having 40mm speakers with excellent dynamic bass response. The microphone, of course, folds up out of the way when not in use.
The inbuilt volume control on the device's cable is surprisingly useful, being rather more accurate than some other models. However, it does produce one problem, which is that when sitting at a desk typing, as I am now, the volume control is placed...

The ultimate headset
Review of Plantronics .Audio DSP-400 Headset by
SimoD
Advantages: Folds away
Disadvantages: None I know of
...The Plantronics DSP 400 headset is the perfect headset for anyone interested in Podcast making, internet calling or video gaming.
I have owned this headset for many years now and it is a fantastic product. At the time, it cost £50 although I got it for £30. You'll be able to pick it up for a lot less now, and its certainly worth it!
I use mine mainly for internet calling with my friends and the sound quality of the earphones is exemplary. In addition, the headset is noise canceling meaning that whilst you speak down it, the headset filters out that frustrating background noise most microphones give you.
The headset also folds away so that it is small and can be stored easily. The USB plug is superior to the green and pink mini-jacks as it is digital, improving quality, and USB ports are usually easier to get to.
Finally, the headset...

on headsets
Review of Plantronics SupraPlus H261 Headset by
shamberlyv
Advantages: comfy all day wear
Disadvantages: loud feedback
...This headset is a bit expensive for its quality. Although i bought mine outside the country for a considerable lesser price, had i known better, i would have bought a wireless one.
It is still functional after two years. I lost both of the voice tube microphone cover though and i think that is whats causing too much echo when i talk and too much mic sensitivity. That also causes alot of feed back so i have to press on mute all the time, and everytime i am done speaking, to avoid the feedbacks.
On the upside it supports all Plantronics amplifiers and USB-to-headset adapters so i guess i just have to get one. It is also comfortable to wear for long hours. I would not recommend to get leatherette ear cushions, that made my ears sweat and itchy eeks....

plantronics .FLAWEDio 90
Review of Plantronics .Audio 90 Headset by
oblivious0r
Advantages: Cable clip, Volume control
Disadvantages: Short Life Span
....
In this review I will be reviewing the ever popular Plantronics .audio 90 headphones. These headphones are probably the most popular headset for computer gamers. The brand plantronics is one of the leading brands on the market who supply communication headsets. They sponsor various gaming causes and infact tailor their headphone development in suiting gamers. Apart from gamers as one of their main markets they also target business or offices who use headsets alot to communicate via phone. For example plantronics are a huge supplier to the market of call centres. They have probably made a majority of their revenue by supplying the call centres of India with efficient and high quality headphones. Alot of online gamers value the brand of plantronics as high quality and proficient for their needs.
I decided to purchase these plantronic audio 90...

Even NASA uses Plantronics gear!
Review of Plantronics GameCom Halo 2 Edition Headset by
OddGodHMK
Advantages: More comfortable than normal headset, doesn't break
Disadvantages: Earpiece can become irritating
...It's true. Plantronics gear is great stuff. When Halo 2 was drawing near, I decided I just had to have this headset, for the Halo 2 logo. A bit sad, I know, but it's actually a really, really good piece of equipment.
~~~ Appearance ~~~
Whereas with the official Xbox Live headset it's a speaker, with a microphone on a tube of plastic, which clips onto a piece of plastic that sits above your ears round the back of your head, this is an actual headset. That may not make much sense, so here's a picture of the official headset:
http://www.kanection.co.uk/shopimages/products/normal/live-communicator.jpg
And here's a picture of the Plantronics Halo 2 one:
http://www.ramcoweb.com/gaming/gamecom-halo2.jpg
With the Plantronics Halo 2 headset, there is a piece of plastic that loops around your ear, and has an earpiece which is held...
Plantronics Headset voice tube!
Review of Plantronics Headset voice tube Colour: Clear by
mints4merlin
Advantages: Sleek, original design, great handsfree device
Disadvantages: can fall off head now and then, also quite flimsy
...COST: £6.28
PLACE OF PURCHASE: The Link
BRAND: Plantronics
SIZE: 11cm
These are wicked new handsfree devices suitable for all mobiles, and was released earlier this year. I've been using mine whenever I get the chance and have since didtched the motorola headset I was previously using. They come in 6 different colours and ave a silver ear piece and a silver voice piece end. You wear it by wrapping around your ear and have the bottom bit poking out from under your lobe and towards you lips.
The unique design of this little gadget is meant for ultimate comfort and so is flexiable and adjustable for all ear sizes and head shapes. Which I personally thought was great as I've got rater small ears and the handsfree gizmoz I'd tried before where way too big and always caused me pain.
My favourite part about this is not only does it look cool...
Not bad if your an eminem fan
Review of Encore (Parental Advisory) [PA] - Eminem by
Semtex07
Advantages: Great beats, Eminems flow is great
Disadvantages: Some songs get a bit annoying (big weenie, just lose it)
...Eminems worst material but it is still pretty good. The first five songs are excellent, but it seems the album falls off from "puke". However it is still listenable, its just it sounds like eminem isnt as hungry as he was on his previous albums. I find myself skipping alot of tracks on encore but i could listen to his last 3 albums without skipping 1 song.
The production is great on encore, lyrically its strong and eminem has an awesome flow. But the subjects he touches on arent as interesting as on his previous albums except for songs like "Yellow Brick Road", "Like Toy Soldiers" and "Mosh" which have interesting story telling.
If your an eminem fan you will probably like this album. If your new to Em you should definatly buy his last 3 albums first. The best songs are Evil Deeds, Never Enough, Yellow Brick Road, Like Toy Soldiers...
