Sa Caleta Playa resort
Review of Sa Caleta Playa, Minorca by  francesca.sd

Advantages: family friendly. lolvey staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Safe
Disadvantages: None.

...Okay so this is infact my third attempt at writing this review because ciao keeps deleting it! Anyway… Menorca/Minorca♥ I thought that, in order to talk about the resort, Sa Caleta Playa I would need to just brief you on the island. Minorca is a small island and it’s one of the Balearics. Its neighbour is Majorca but it is nothing like Majorca. You can drive around Minorca in a day because it is so small. Minorca still has its traditional features and it nowhere near as ‘touristy’ as Ibiza of Majorca. Sa Caleta Playa Background info♥ Sa Caleta Playa is located in the town of Sa Caleta. This is a very small town about a 40 mins drive from the island’s capital- Cuidadella. Sa Caleta Playa is a First choice travel; agent resort. It is fairly small and right next to the beach. The apartments are pretty much in a row... Read review

Do you want to stay at the atlantico playa...
Review of Ocean Atlantico Playa (Fuerteventura) by  tracy2002

Advantages: Good location, all inclusive, jmc reps great
Disadvantages: ants, sewage smell and in need of upgrading

........ Our maid service was okay. The only days the maid didn't visit was Friday and Sunday. Sheets were changed once a week (except we had the extra change because of the ants) and towels twice a week. Our second lot of towels had big dirty marks all over them so that wasn't so impressive. Food and drink........... A big factor of your holiday when your all inclusive. The food we found to be reasonable. When your catering for 600 odd people it must be quite hard. The complex operated two resturants which I don't really think can cope with a complex full of people. There certainly didn't seem to be enough room for everyone (even though you could choose to eat outside, but I just couldn't because of the sewage smell) Everything at the atlantico playa is buffet service. This always included some kind of potatoes (whether it be chips... Read review

Playa Moreia Apartments S'illio Majorca
Review of Playa Moreia, S'Illot by  rachel1431

Advantages: Very cheap very good accommodation with brilliant views
Disadvantages: None

...Playa Moreia Review - Mallorca After just returning from what is probably one of the best last minute holidays I have had I thought it important to share my views with you. I, like you, always like to read reviews of places before I visit them, but, this time it was even more important because it was the first time that I had not booked with a Tour operator - I booked on the internet at a wonderful price with just 10 days to go. In the main the reviews for the Playa Moreia on the internet are good and thankfully I took no heed of the bad ones, what do some people want I ask myself. I have now returned to England and I have nothing but praise for the Playa Moreia. I think its important to point out that the official rating of the Playa Moreia is a 2 key - but I would certainly rate it as good as any 3 star I have stayed... Read review

Torviscas Playa is Top!
Review of Iberostar Torviscas Playa, Tenerife by  lenny29

Advantages: Great location, Near beach, Attentive & happy staff and good food.
Disadvantages: Cold Pool, Built up Area, Noisy Road, Dinner gets packed

...We have just returned from the Torviscas Playa (September 2007). On first impressions, I wasn't sure as the building looking like it needed a little paint. However, once inside the hotel is clean and well kept with shiny marble floors everywhere. The Reception staff are efficient and really friendly. On arrival the Hotel supplies a small token orange drink, which we thought was a nice touch. The Hotel is in Costa Adeje and is very near to shops, bars, restaurants and a pharmacist. Playa das Americas is not that far away but you would need a taxi. There is even a Pharmacist across the road. Its very close to the beach and there are steps from the hotel, so not good for prams but you can get to the beach another way, which takes an extra 5mins. The Reception and bar area on the ground floor is very spacious with comfortable sofas... Read review

Jardin Del Sol apartments, Playa Del Ingles
Review of Jardin Del Sol Apartments, Playa Del Ingles, Gran Canaria by  brownie1480

Advantages: Centrally located, great staff, great apartments.
Disadvantages: None

...Playa Del Ingles in Gran Canaria.....what a place! i love it there, even though i've only ever been twice in my whole life if i could afford to go every year this is the place i'd go, well here and Salou ;) I recently went to PDI (short for Playa Del Ingles) in July 2007 for 2 weeks, with my young daughter who's 6 and my mum (don't ask lol), we were booked into the Jardin Del Sol appartments, obviously i did abit of research beforehand as i like to know what to expect when traveling with my daughter and the reviews i read were ok, like with most reviews you'll get some great ones and some not so great, where ever you stay it all depends on the person and what you yourself make of the place, but here's my 2 pence worth anyway. It was roughly a 15 minute coach ride, possibly abit faster if your in a taxi from the airport in Las... Read review

Summer sun at the Playa!
Review of Iberostar Torviscas Playa, Tenerife by  SweetTooth93

Advantages: Staff, cleanliness, rooms, food etc
Disadvantages: n/a

...If there's one thing I looked forward to all year, its a summer holiday. We try out best to make sure we go away every summer, and to date we haven't had very many bad experiences with the hotels we have picked. Last year, our choice of Holiday was to Tenerife. We booked our holiday at the very last minute. We were due to fly on July 6th, and at the beginning of April, we went into the travel agents and booked. Our choice of hotel, was the Iberostar Torviscas Playa, Costa Adeje, Tenerife. ** Travel Agents Recommendation/Booking. We started browsing through brochures and searching online for a summer holiday in around January. We came to the agreement that Tenerife would be our choice of hotel. We studied the prices in the brochures and haggled online, however although the offers online looked very good value for money, we... Read review

Playa Dorada
Review of Playa Dorada (Dominican Republic) by  JJ28

Advantages: Hot, superb location and great too unwind
Disadvantages: Beach sellers, reps and baggage handlers!!!!

...There were four of us that went on an all inclusive holiday in August 2004 in the Iberostar in Playa Dorada. On arrival to the hotel we were all mightily impressed with the surroundings. The bedrooms were well equipped with a mini bar (thats refilled every other day), air conditioning and your usual refinements. The Reps try (as per usual) to sell you excursions to various parts around the island. We booked one and found that another 25% is added to these if you do book through your rep. One tip is too buy from a beach seller or there are copious amounts of people selling these cheaper in the shopping complex. We would definately suggest in doing:- 1) Safari with the waterfalls 2) Swim with Dolphins (but arrange this yourselves much cheaper) 3) White Water Rafting 4) Cataraman ride (not the rep one) The food is superb... spring playa la arena
Review of Spring Playa La Arena, Tenerife by  malchard

Advantages: accommodation, food, views, quiet and relaxing & no time share touts around
Disadvantages: hilly location, evening entertainment, very few bars in the immediate locality

...Having spent last years vacation at the Vulcano ( a sister hotel), we guess it is natural to make comparisons, but there is little to choose between them as they both provide the same very high standards in terms of food, room comfort, cleanliness and general "feel good" factor. Hotel Playa la Arena will more suit those requiring total relaxation, whilst the Vulcanos location provides plenty of nearby alternative evening entertainment, due to its relative proximity to Las Americas and the nearby strip of bars, some of which provide live music. Conclusion A most beautiful and immaculately kept hotel, which is a credit to both its owners and the management/staff who keep it that way. It exudes a warm ambience coupled with a cosmopolitan feel due to its popularity with the indigenous population and provides a relaxing and tranquil... Read review

Playa de San Juan - An excellent hotel
Review of Holiday Inn Alicante – Playa de San Juan, San Juan de Alicante by  brucebolt

Advantages: Friendly staff, lovely pool, clean room
Disadvantages: Dynamic currency conversion on our room costs paid by debit card

...We chose to visit the Holiday Inn Alicante Playa de San Juan for a week in July after having three very pleasant stays in Express by Holiday Inns in the UK. We were not sure what to expect in terms of quality, however it was probably one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in. The cost was €94 per night for an en suite room with king size bed and an “almost double” sofa bed. The room was on the third floor of the hotel and had a view of another apartment block to the rear of the hotel. However, this did not cause any problems as the apartments were quite a distance from the hotel, therefore not blocking the panoramic view. THE HOTEL The hotel building is over 7 floors: the ground floor, floors 1 to 5 and a floor called '-1'. If you are given a room on the '-1' floor, don't think that they are shoving you... Sirenis Club Playa
Review of Sirenis Club Playa, Ibiza by  shelleyone

Advantages: Reasonable price, Within close reach of other islands, duty free shops are great.
Disadvantages: None

...We travelled to Cala Longa in Ibiza in September 2006 and stayed in the Club Playa hotel which is an all inclusive hotel on the beach front. This is very handy if you want to keep nipping back for snacks or drinks seen as they are already paid for. It takes between 45 mins and an hour and a half to transfer from the airport to the hotel depending on time of travel but we must have hit a bad day as it took us well over two hrs to get there that was the worst bit. The hotel is approximately a 100m walk to the smooth sandy beach. I thought the hotel to be fantastic. The natives are polite and nothing is too much trouble for them. They readily greet you on entering the shops. In the bars we were asked if we wanted to sit down and they would come for our drinks order and fetch it for us but I chose to fetch it myself. The least I could... Read review
