Best mainstream GB budget hotel chain
Review of Member Advice on Chain Hotels: Premier Lodge by  Najim

Advantages: Good value. Pay on arrival or departure. Adjacent pub/restaurant.
Disadvantages: None

...For my work within Great Britain, I have switched from staying mainly in Travel Inns to mainly in Premier Lodges. Premier Lodge has now expanded to sufficient locations to make this viable - currently over 110 open and 10 or so opening soon, I believe. (None in Northern Ireland, which is why my title says GB not UK.) Like most Travel Inns and Travelodges, the Premier Lodges I have visited have functional, clean accommodation blocks with identical rooms and standard facilities - bed, chairs, desk, coffee/tea, some with phones, bath/shower/WC. Apart from some metropolitan locations, all the chains seem to charge between £39 and £50, and Premier Lodge are no exception, starting at £42. I first chose a Premier Lodge because nearby Travel Inns were booked solid. I was expecting an identical experience to the other chains. These are all... Read review

Travel the country in comfort
Review of Travel Inn (Liverpool) by  charlie25

Advantages: Inexpensive
Disadvantages: None

...Travel Inns are the best cheap hotel chain in the country. There are approx. 250 of them around Britain including ones in prime spots such as central London, the middle of Leeds and seaside towns like Blackpool and Brighton. A large proportion of the Inns have been built in the last 10 years and as a result are still shiny and new. However even with the older Inns the quality is consistently good. They are always clean and modern. The layout of the Inns and the bedrooms is near enough the same anywhere you go even down to the pattern on the bed covers and make of television. All bedrooms have 2 very comfortable double beds, one is usually a bed settee, and cots can be provided for babies. There is an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. The showers are absolutely brilliant, very powerful and an endless supply of hot water... Read review

Premier Hotel at a Good Price
Review of Premier Travel Inn London - Heathrow (Bath Road), London by  LJOne

Advantages: Roomy, Comfortable and Affordable
Disadvantages: Extra Car Park Charges

...HEATHROW PREMIER TRAVEL INN Premier Travel Inns Whitbread are the owners of Premier Travel Inn and they believe Premier Travel Inn offers the UK's best value for money accommodation, with rooms from around £50.00 per night. They claim that one of their hotels is within 5 miles of 75 percent of the UK population and that they not only provide great accommodation but also great food. All Premier Travel Inn's have a restaurant on-site, with most beside a Whitbread restaurant. The hotels are great for either business or pleasure and for business clients many of the hotels have on site meeting facilities. Premier Travel Inn is the UK's biggest hotel chain with over 480 locations across the country. They have more hotels in more places, making it easier for you to stay away from home and wherever you need to stay, at Premier Travel Inn you... Read review

Premier Travel Inn - Preston East
Review of Premier Travel Inn Preston - East, Preston by  kismet

Advantages: close to the motorway, cheap
Disadvantages: TOO close to the motorway!

...We have recently travelled up to Scotland from Devon and on the way home needed to break up the 12 hour journey. We stopped at Premier Travel Inn - Preston East. This Travel Inn is literally right beside the southbound motorway near junction 31a northbound. We were travelling Southbound, so had to come off at junction 31, join the northbound and come off at junction 31a. PRICE ++++++ We paid £48 for a room which is Friday to Sunday rates. Monday to Thursday would cost £51. BOOKING ++++++++ We had an AA Road Atlas with us and also a directory of all the Premier Travel Inn's in the country. This is a very handy booklet as it has directions and location for each Travel Inn. I telephoned the Inn and was put through to a central number as they were busy. They took a provisional booking and the Travel Inn called me back to confirm... Read review

Premier Travel Inn, Winchester
Review of Premier Travel Inn, Winchester by  rhondakmackenzie

Advantages: Value for money
Disadvantages: Can be a bit awkward to reach if heading in opposite direction on motorwary

...Excellent budget travel hotel. We arrived at 11.30pm andeven at this time it was no problem for the staff to make up a kids spare bed and put a baby's cot into our room. Accomodation appeared very new and was spotlessly clean. Buffet breakfast was in the adjoining service station, with a wonderful choice. Cooked breakfasts were served to the table by a very friendly waiter, while in addition you also have the option of helping yourself to as much as you can eat from the continental buffet breakfast. Great value, especially as the kids ate for free. Although based in a maotorway service station this hotel was noise free, and we all had a great nights sleep. We will definately stay there when next visiting that part of the country and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.... Read review

Premier Travel Inn, London Docklands
Review of Premier Travel Inn London - Docklands (ExCel),, London by  hackerjack

Advantages: Good rooms and service
Disadvantages: Quite remote

...This is a step above most of the premier travell inns I have stayed at previously. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, dealing easily with around 20 of us arriving at once in less than half an hour. The rooms are fairly standar from PTIs, which on the whole is good all round. The bathrooms are especially nice with large baths (useful for us of the larger persuation) and everything laid out nicely. The cafe/resteraunt/bar area is nice and comfortable, definately better than most of them. the availability of a pool table and awell stoked bar was a nice addition over most hotels of this type. Breakfast was well stocked and of high quality all round. The hotel itself is quite remote to look at, but is within a few minutes walk of the Excel centre (which dominates the skyline), a very nice chinese resteraunt and two London... Read review

Keep an eye on County Hall
Review of Premier Travel Inn London - County Hall, London by  Tim_74

Advantages: Location and price
Disadvantages: Breakfast not included; views

...The Premier Travel Inn County Hall London is in an ideal location for tourists. It's right next to the London Eye and the Thames as well as being close to the Houses of Parliament and many other attractions. We only stayed one night, but the Premier Inn offered just what we were looking for - a cheap stay but in a clean and good quality room and hotel. Our room cost £86.95 for a Saturday night stay in early October. As well as the bed, the ensuite rooms have a table and easy chairs, space to store your clothes, tea and coffee making facilities and a TV. There is also access to ironing facilities. Check-in was easy and checking out was also quick and simple. Although we couldn't get into our room until 2pm, there was no problem with leaving our luggage at the hotel. Breakfast was not included, but was available at extra cost... Read review

Worth the visit
Review of Premier Travel Inn, Ayr by  Claw2504

Advantages: Quality standards, Good Value for Money, decent Breakfast
Disadvantages: Stupid Fire Drills

...With work I can end up traveling a fair bit and with premier travel inn being my companys choice of hotel, it was off for a few nights kip up in ayr! Ayr it's self is a wonderful place to visit, so I would definatly recommend the visit! Why not spend a few nights! and what better place than the premier travel inn! On the first night of my visit I arrived at around midnight, feeling very grouchy after a four hour drive!I'll be honest I was a little short with the gentleman behind the reception, however he was still extremely polite and very helpful and help me fill out all necessary paperwork/payment as quickly as possible. When I finally reached my room I was greeted by a luxury double bed! perfect nights sleep. The room also contained tee and coffee along with a selection of biscuits for me to nibble at. Decent size TV and good... Read review
