...?. Queen's greatest asset was perhaps the voice of frontman Freddie Mercury. He had an amazing voice which was capable of just about anything. he had the kind of voice that makes you want to scream when you hear some wannabe band try and cover his song, because they belonged to him. It was a shame when he died as he was queen's heart. Tracks on this set include: Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites the Dust, Bicycle Race, Don't Stop Me Now, Good Old Fashioned Loverboy, We Will Rock You, Radio Ga Ga, Hammer To Fall, The Show Must Go On, Headlong, You're My Best Friend, and several others. There are 17 songs on each disc, which make a total of 34 examples of classic Queen. Since Queen finished the remaining members of the group teamed up with Five to do " We will rock you". ...Queen Greatest Hits is a very good album to listen to, it has all the songs that you will like, and plus the ones that everyone knows, I will be giving information to all the tracks and all about the CD and other things also, so I hope that this review will be useful to you and maybe even interest you in buying this album. Tracks 1) Bohemian Rhapsody ------ Duration 5.58 minutes This track is one of my favourites, it goes on for 5.58 minutes, and it was first played in the year of 1975, when they first recorded this song. This song was written by Freddie Mercury (Queen’s lead singer). Queen released this song in October 1975 from their first number one album, which has been there best. Advantages: Fantastic music
Disadvantages: Is there any??

...My partner loves Queen and always has, Freddie Mercury is his idol! He listens to them all the time, its a good job I like their music too! My step-children were brought up on queen and now they are older they still love it. I think its a music that will never die and noone could ever do as good. Freddie Mercury was a singer and an entertainer and although other singers might be good at their jobs they just cannot be compaired to Queen, Queen are in a league of their own. Most of my family like Queen, my grandparents, parents and siblings, my favorite song is Dont stop me now and my partners is fat bottomed girls. I dont think I know one person who doesnt like at least one of Queen's songs. My partner is a big fan, he has been to a few concerts (he is 43years old), I wish I could have gone, he said they were fantastic... Read review

Advantages: Amazingly advanced for 1974 and a great range of songs, from hard rock to fantasical progressive rock and everything inbetween!
Disadvantages: Queen have not completely developed their talents on this album

...This is an incredibly original album, a lot different to Queen's later music in the 80s and early 90s and I definately would recommend it to anybody who is interested in Queen's early music. Also, anybody who is not a Queen fan but would like to hear some amazing music from the early 70s. Here is a review of each song: Procession *** - An orchestral guitar piece, completely arranged and played by Brian May and used at the beginning of a lot of Queen's early concerts. A nice track to begin with. Father to Son ***** - Another Brian May masterpiece about family, love and futures. Great harmonies in the chorus although the verse does seem to become quite competetive towards the end. ...The Good Die Young) Most of the tracks are written by Brain May, simply because he wrote the more rock stuff, but its worth mentioning that the other three members, Freddie Mercury, Roger Taylor and John Deacon, were all good song writers and all four members wrote hit singles for the band, not that all the tracks on this compilation were all singles, its simply a collection of their best rock stuff. The cover is a striking design - a drawing of the Queen crest (designed by Freddie Mercury), being blown apart. All the lyrics, track info you need are on the inlay card. And so.... ...The original Greatest Hits album had covered the years 1973 through to 1981 . Five albums followed , plus one live album , and of course ‘Queen At The Beeb’ , which was made up of early Queen recordings for the BBC sessions , before ‘Greatest Hits II’ was released in 1991 , an album was set to reach No.1 in the charts, and have a shelf life in excess of 100 weeks . As with GH I , not all single releases were to be found on GH II , again these will be noted at the end of the op , for purposes of note . Two No.1’s were to be found on this album , the final ones before the death of Freddie . These were the Queen and David Bowie classic collaboration , ‘Under Pressure’ , and the equally classic ‘Innuendo’ . Advantages: Amazing album with super songs

...Introduction: I was never really a Queen fan until a few years ago now. I of course knew loads of their songs and in particular We Will Rock You and We are The Champions which are forever being played at all sorts of places. I knew of them for a while and liked them but had never once bought one of their CDs. However as I said first of all this all changed a few years ago now and since that point I loved Queen and now own this CD as in my opinion it is certainly the best one to buy with all the best Queen hits put onto two of the best CDs you will ever encounter! Becoming a Fan: A few years ago now for my Birthday my Mum bought two tickets for the show in London We Will Rock You and she took me there a few weeks after my birthday as a special present. Advantages: Superb script and acting, challenging your views, simply fantastic

...I was quite shocked to see that ITV were screening the Oscar winning movie "The Queen" already on Sunday night, so I knew I had to tune in to see what all the fuss was about. As you may or may not know, The Queen won lead actress Helen Mirren an Oscar, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, a Screen Actors Guild Award and an Award at the Venice Film Festival for being the Best Actress, along many others both for Helen Mirren, and the film was a whole. It has been hugely successful, and because of this I was thoroughly looking forward to seeing what all the fuss was about! The film shows us the events from when Tony Blair was elected as Prime Minister in 1997, to the death of Princess Diana at the end of August 1997. It focuses on the backlash that came about against the Queen when she did not appear to speak publicly on the Princess' untimely death... Read review

Advantages: Greatest Rock Band Ever

...on their first American tour, backing Mott the Hoople. Queen released their third album towards the end of 74, 'Sheer Heart attack', containing the outstanding 'Killer Queen'. This album essentialy set the stage for the next, which still remains the most fmaous of Queen's albums. 'A night at the opera' was claimed to be the most expensive album to make, ever (well, to that date). Its first single, 'Bohemian Rhapsody' has on numerous occassions been voted the best song ever (which it is!).
