...Of all the music in all the world you’ve just got to love rock/rock ‘n roll. I mean its got everything you need and its everywhere, it makes you feel good, its got power, and it can really help you to work out your anger. I love a lot of music, but there’s one band in particular I love almost as much as the Beatles and what’s more most people I know also like their music, the music of Queen. I only started to take an interest in the band after Freddie Mercury had died, not that I didn’t know about them before hand, I mean I knew some of their songs if I didn’t actually know that they were theirs. Once I did start to take an interest I found that my friends liked them too, and I find that a lot of people do, and a lot of them are people I wouldn’t expect to. Advantages: Classic Queen plus their newer song
Disadvantages: Everyone may have all the songs anyway, Blatant Money Spinner

...These days it seems Queen have about as many “best of compilation” albums then real albums. It does how seem very unlikely much new material will be released as err.. Fred is Dead. These compilation albums it seems is the only way the remaining members of Queen can make large amounts of money as they know people will buy the new albums whatever material is to be found on them. This doesn’t mean however the albums are bad and Queen Rocks is still a great one to have. ***A bit about the band*** So who are Queen… Unless you’ve been living underground for the last 30 years you will of course know that they one of the Greatest Rock bands in the World. ...I have just got to let all you ciao members know of one hellish and extravagant show Called, we will rock you by QUEEN This show was staged by Pupils ranging from 10 to 17 years of age. De-ferrers high school was the venue. De-Ferrers Specialist Technology College School Burton on Trent. I had no idea of the content and what this show was all about. I had vaguely heard rumours of a show being staged at the dominion theatre in London, called we will rock you. By Queen and then i heard the same show was going to be performed at the De Ferrers School. Nestled in the heart of the midlands, appearing out of nowhere, were these ordinary school children aged between 10 and 16. Advantages: Classic Queen songs, a great rock album
Disadvantages: But we're sick of buying the same songs again and again and again!

...I've never usually complained about a Queen album before, but this one released just before Christmas has commercialism written all over it. Well, not literally. In fact it has some quite tasteful artwork, but what is contained on the CD is little more than exploitation of the fans. Basically, what we have is a set of songs that every Queen fan, no matter how ardent, already owns topped off by a remixed version of I Can't Live With You which sounds almost identical to the original and a new song, No One But You which is, admittedly, brilliant. The rest is just a selection of hard-rocking Queen tracks. Not a bad idea, one might think, until one realises that they are tracks that have already been released on the Greatest Hits compilations. ...This album, in my view, is by far the best album Queen have done, once again only one hit from Greatest Hits. However do not let this put you off. This album oozes class in every area, it is Queen at there very best, a heavy rock album. Queen have produced over 20 albums, and through time have adapted their style of music, from heavy rock in the 70's, to disco in the 80's, such as in Hot Space, and finally into pop in the late 80's. The album starts off with "Procession," an introduction track to "Father To Son." One noticeable feature with Queen's earlier albums is that the songs blend into each other. If you like rock or think you prefer the earlier Queen, or even if you like 70's music this album is a must. Best songs include "March Of The Black Queen", "Father To Son" and "Ogre Battle." Advantages: Loads of really good (some less well known) Queen tracks
Disadvantages: Definately songs like 'Sheer Heart Attack' (not that i've anything against this track!!!!!!!!)

There are a number of really cool songs on it like 'Hammer to fall' 'I can't live without you' 'Put out the fire' 'Keep yourself alive' and 'Headlong' Most of the Queen Rocks songs are written by Brian May, but one of their most famous tracks on this album (and possibly my favourite) is 'Seven seas of Rye'written by Mercury. The lyrics are pretty weird (typically Freddy) but its a brilliant song and I really like the tune. 'Fat Bottomed girls' is a good song, but I preferred it on the Greatest Hits album. It sounds completely different (and much worse!!!) on the Queen Rocks album (but don't ask me how its changed, because I'm no musician!!!!)... Read review

Advantages: All new material, great music.

...The Cosmos Rocks is the brilliant new album from Queen + Paul Rodgers. Nearly every song on here is amazing; though there are a few poorer songs, namely Warboys, most of the songs are wonderful. There's rocky songs like Cosmos Rockin' and C-lebrity, and there are slower songs like Small and We Believe (Rodgers' anti-war song). This is a must-have for any Queen fan, and is a great album to have on in the car, to put on your MP3 player, in fact it's great anywhere. Those who have doubted Queen + Paul Rodgers really must listen to this, regardless of whether you think Q+PR is "real Queen" or not, it's still wonderful. Don't forget you can get the special edition with a DVD of Live In Japan Highlights!... Read review

Advantages: Fantastic show, great songs, lights and costumes

...I went to the We Will Rock You musical at the start of my honeymoon en route to Thailand and it was certainly a magnificent start to married life. It was almost as though the songs were written for the musical, as they all come in exactly the right places. ‘No-one but you’ and ‘Who Wants to Live Forever’ are truly moving, ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ and ‘Hammer to Fall’ get everybody rocking, Radio Ga-Ga and A Kind of Magic get everyone clapping in time and the performance of Bohemian Rhapsody simply blows you away. The costumes and the light shows are impressive and the plot, with admittedly a few jokes that attract the odd groan, is sadly relevant with regards to the way music seems to be heading. If you are a Queen fan you will have an absolutely fantastic night, no doubt about it. But on the night that I went there were people who... Read review

...Queen Greatest Hits is a very good album to listen to, it has all the songs that you will like, and plus the ones that everyone knows, I will be giving information to all the tracks and all about the CD and other things also, so I hope that this review will be useful to you and maybe even interest you in buying this album. Tracks 1) Bohemian Rhapsody ------ Duration 5.58 minutes This track is one of my favourites, it goes on for 5.58 minutes, and it was first played in the year of 1975, when they first recorded this song. This song was written by Freddie Mercury (Queen’s lead singer). Queen released this song in October 1975 from their first number one album, which has been there best. Advantages: Amazing album with super songs
Disadvantages: a few bad ones in the middle

...Introduction: I was never really a Queen fan until a few years ago now. I of course knew loads of their songs and in particular We Will Rock You and We are The Champions which are forever being played at all sorts of places. I knew of them for a while and liked them but had never once bought one of their CDs. However as I said first of all this all changed a few years ago now and since that point I loved Queen and now own this CD as in my opinion it is certainly the best one to buy with all the best Queen hits put onto two of the best CDs you will ever encounter! Becoming a Fan: A few years ago now for my Birthday my Mum bought two tickets for the show in London We Will Rock You and she took me there a few weeks after my birthday as a special present.
