Quick Trifle-style Dessert
Review of Recipes for Desserts by
RClure
Advantages: Yummy
Disadvantages: Never lasts very long before someone eats it
...Want to make an easy-peasy trifle-style pudding that takes minutes to make? This is a wonderful dessert for me as I don’t like cream or cold custard… give me hot custard any day but I can’t be doing with thick, jelly-like gunge that is cold!
Many people who love the traditional style trifle love this recipe too! This dessert can be eaten within 10 minute of making or can last well in the fridge for about 36 hours although the sponge is soggier and has absorbed more liquid by this time (it’s still delicious though!). It sort of resembles a black forest gateaux in taste.
*** INGREDIENTS ***
400g cherry pie filling
1 x small family chocolate Swiss roll with chocolate filling
1 packet of Raspberry Angel Delight
½ pint of milk (I prefer semi-skimmed but any will do)
Decoration for the top if preferred (Chocolate buttons...

Dreamy Desserts...
Review of Weight Watchers Thick & Creamy Dessert Recipe Yogurt by
Amy69
Advantages: delicious, healthy, wide variety
Disadvantages: some not too perfect, pricey
...For weeks, I searched high and low for the new Weight Watchers Dessert-flavour pack of yoghurts, but had no luck whatsoever with tracing them. Fortunately, my local Asda store finally got them in stock, and I jumped with glee when I saw them, adding them straight into the trolley.
By the time I arrived home from my successful shopping trip, I was quick peckish, and decided to give my new yoghurts a try. However, the problem came when I had to choose which to sample. The pack contained six different flavours; Pear and Vanilla, Toffee Apple,
The Yoghurts
------------------
Pear and Vanilla
That combination sounds quite delicious, to say the least. I do adore pears, and I don't mind the taste of vanilla, although I'll admit it's not a flavour I jump for joy over. I did not know what to expect from this one, but took...

Crispy Coconut Crusted Apple Dessert!
Review of Recipes for Desserts by
fluffchillin
Advantages: Delicious and tasty! A variation on your average apple pie!
Disadvantages: Moreish and probably not great for your diet!
...hand typed recipes that my Mom had learnt to cook from when she went to cookery class as a young woman in South Africa! As I flipped through I stumbled upon this great recipe; Coconut Crusted Apple Dessert and thought it would be great to try because it looked simple, quick and easy to make!
The ingredients you will need:
- 5 large granny smith apples
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of orange juice
For the topping you will need:
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 3/4 cup of margarine (I use Benecol .. its a type of spread that is supposed to help lower cholestoral and it tastes just as good as butter!)
- 1 to 1 & 1/2 cups of cocunut (depending on how much you like it!)
- 1 cup of sifted flour
The recipe goes a little something like this:
Peel, core and slice the apples...

Desserts for everybodys tastes
Review of Recipes for Desserts by
SweetTooth93
Advantages: Yummy
Disadvantages: Probs laden with calories
...and fluffy using an electric hand mixer.
*Fold in the flour.
*Spread the mixture evenly onto the cooking mat.
*Bake for 5-6 minutes until risen and golden.
*Spread the chocolate over the sponge, leaving a 5cm/2in border around the edge.
*Lay 8 of the marshmallows across the width of one end of the sponge.
*Roll the sponge to encase the marshmallows, then lay the remaining marshmallows across the width. Again, roll the sponge to encase the marshmallows and form a Swiss roll.
*Dust with icing sugar.
*Serve up YUM.
The preperation time for the roulade is under 30 minutes, now is that quick, or is that quick?.
White chocolate mousse A delicious, light and fluffy dessert, a recipe for the more advanced cooks as it requires a bit of skill.

Whip Up a Quick Dessert!
Review of Angel Delight by
HannahBoo
Advantages: Yummy, Quick and Easy, Calcium (made with milk).
Disadvantages: Some Flavours can Taste a Little "Chemically".
...***INTRODUCTION***
Angel Delight has been around for years. Birds Eye launched their Angel Delight in1967. It is a quick, easy, and tasty dessert to make. It can be found in supermarkets and comes in the following flavours:
Banana, Strawberry, Raspberry, Butterscotch, Chocolate, Forest Fruits, and Vanilla Icecream.
My personal favourite (and my family's favourite) is Butterscotch. Butterscotch Angel Delight can be found at Waitrose for 56p (66g).
***THE PRODUCT***
Angel Delight comes in a 'sachet' as it is a powder dessert which you simply mix with milk and 'whip' up. It is an ideal product to keep in your cupboard for those days when you want to make a quick dessert.
Texture
-----------
Angel Delight is a smooth dessert which just glides down your throat. Therefore it is perfect for children as it has...

The dessert has deserted us
Review of M&S Count On Us Chocolate Muffin Dessert by
Suzela
Advantages: Fairly healthy chocolate fix
Disadvantages: You can really taste the sweetener
...So being on a low fat/fat free diet isn't that much of a drag except when it comes to puddings. There is only so much fruit, sorbet, fat free yoghurt, meringues, low fat sponges and muffins and jellies that you can take. So I was delighted when I stumbled across Marks & Spencer Count on us...chocolate muffin dessert a couple of years ago. It is only 150 calories a pot and less than 3% fat (2.1g per serving to be precise) so for me, as a treat, this was great.
Now a couple of years ago when I found this dessert it was a 110g plastic pot shaped like a little dish on a stand and was a light and fluffy chocolate mousse sprinkled with chocolate curls which topped pieces of moist chocolate muffin in a chocolate flavoured custard and it was delicious. The aroma was sweet but chocolatey and although it wasn't the really rich and sumptuous...

Toff a load of this chocolate dessert!
Review of Weight Watchers toffee chocolate dessert by
englishminx
Advantages: Tastes delicious, measured portions
Disadvantages: It has calories!! even if only a few
...When I think of heaven, it usually involves a world full of chocolate!
Weight watchers do a great selection of desserts! And this one just happens to be my favorite, pure heaven! in a pot!
***Packaging / Presentation ***
You get two desserts in a pack. The desserts are in clear plastic pots and then supported by a cardboard packaging which holds them in place.
The box is purple, with the weight watchers from heinz logo on one side, and the title 2 Toffee Chocolate Desserts on the other, with a wonderful picture which makes my mouth water just looking at it!
***The long defrost ***
The product is a frozen product, which needs to be defrosted before eating It suggests leaving to defrost at room temperature for 45 - 60 minutes. Too be honest, I actually prefer them when the chocolate is still solid, so I only leave mine...

Five star dessert
Review of Marks & Spencer Count on us Cafe Mocha Dessert by
gardenguru1
Advantages: A luxury bought dessert
Disadvantages: Not suitable for freezing
...I have never shopped in Marks and Spencer’s food hall before and when friends were coming round for a buffet tea last weekend I decided to browse round Marks to get some ideas. I had already decided to make some Lemon Mousses as one dessert and so when I saw the café mocha desserts I thought that these would provide a nice alternative sweet.
Packaging
This is impressive. They caught my eye sitting in the chilled compartment as the box looked very attractive. Imagine a rectangular box 7cm wide by 11cm high with a cellophane window shaped like a glass on the front panel. The window offers an enticing view of the contents which did not disappoint as can sometimes happen.
The box is shaded, gradually turning from chocolate colour to light brown through to white at the top. This nicely picks up the colour of the ingredients...
