Reviews of ruby & millie
cheaper version of the ruby & millie
Review of The Body Shop Lip Gloss by
nattie123
Advantages: Loads of colour choices, good price
Disadvantages: really sticky
...Yep the packaging is really similar to the Ruby & Millie Lip gloss and so i the actual product.
The Body Shops version has the added bonus of being £6 nearly half the price of Ruby & Millies.
This lipgloss is in a tube that you twist the end and the gloss is puched out on to a brush for you to paint your lips with.
The only difference being that this has no silver cap, just classy clear plastic throughout.
I prefer this to the ruby & Millie gloss, well I've used more of the body shops that I have of Ruby & Millies.
The body shops lip gloss is a lot stickier and so sticks to glasses and sticks your lips together. It's harder to put on evenly because its globy but once its on it looks really good. It's glossier and smoother than Ruby & Millies.
If you want value for money, but still want your lips to look glamously glossy then look...

Ruby and Millie lipstick
Review of Ruby & Millie Lipstick by
shanee
Advantages: moisturising, long lasting, chic
Disadvantages: only available at Boots
...I was first given a Ruby and Millie lipstick as a present. I had never used it before and now I think it is the second best brand in the world (MAC will always be my favourite). It is incredibly moisturising and at the same time long lasting, reasonably priced (£10) and comes in a really cool long silver tube. The range of colours and textures is fantastic and I like that they have colours to suit all skin tones. The range was made up by a couple of make up artists and so they really know what they're doing. The only drawback is that I can only seem to find it in large Boots stores. I think this range of lipsticks is suitable for anyone....

Ruby & Millie Nail Varnish
Review of Ruby & Millie Nail Polish by
natalie.d.gibson
Advantages: Vibrant colours, great packaging
Disadvantages: Chips if only wear one coat
...I have purchased many Ruby and Millie products previously such as lipstick and eyeshadow but in my mind the nail varnish is by far my favourite.
Ruby and Millie is a range developed by Ruby Hammer and Millie Kendall and is exclusive to Boots.
The range is very modern and this is reflected in the packaging which involves clear plastic so that the contents can be seen, and mirrored silver, all bearing the brand name.
Boots Fashion Brands (which includes Ruby and Millie, Karen Millen, Urban Decay etc) frequently has special offers on such as '3 for 2' or '500 advantage card point when you purchase two products' so this makes it more affordable.
The nail polish costs £8-50 which is not bad considering it is quite an upmarket trendy brand, however I wouldn't describe it as a premium cosmetic brand.
I chose two nail polishes - Pink 400P...

Ruby nail varnish
Review of Ruby & Millie Nail Polish by
CezaWeza
Advantages: Nice colours, packaging is pretty
Disadvantages: Expensive, varnish prone to chipping
...*Introduction*
I love wearing nail varnish and wear it practically all the time. I love experimenting with different colours, my favourite is probably sparkly red. I decided to buy this nail varnish by Ruby & Millie after receiving a £5 money off voucher to use with Ruby & Millie. I have never used any products by Ruby & Millie before, but looking at their counter their products seem bright and colourful. There are quite a range of colours, including the usual reds and pinks, and also blues and orange. The colour I chose the nail varnish in is Red 430P. The range is exclusive to Boots and you won't find it anywhere else.
*Price & Packaging*
The price is £8.50 for 9ml of nail varnish. As the bottle is quite big you do get slightly more nail varnish for your money than most other nails varnishes out there. However this is not good...

Eyes look good all day long
Review of Ruby & Millie Eye Base by
luckylips
Advantages: Stops eye shadow creasing and wearing off
Disadvantages: Only suitable for caucasion skin
...Ruby and Millie have been around for a little while now and produce good quality make up at a sensible price.
This is one of the wonder products.
Ruby and Millie Eye Base comes in a tube with a brush attachment on the end. You turn the other end and the product is fed through to the brush- making it more hygienic than a pot.
A small amount is spread onto your eyelid and blended up to your brow with the brush.
You then apply your normal eyeshadow brand and it magically stays put all day- no creasing and very little wearing off.
This type of product has been along time coming, but has arrived in style. I was a little dubious as to how well it would work costing only £8.00 (approx) But work it did!
I can honestly say that I wouldn't be without it now, it makes a huge difference not looking in a mirror and seeing all your carefully...

Ruby and Millie compact powder
Review of Ruby and Millie - Compact Powder by
vivwoods
Advantages: Looks stylish
Disadvantages: Can be a bit expensive
...I really like all of the Ruby and Millie range even though it is quite expensive.
I began using the range last year and have done ever since.
The compact powder is in quite a nice size silver compact, though upon opening you will find the size of the powder is a fair bit smaller. In it there is a small thin puff which is only usable on one side, and there is a mirror too....which i find handy for touchups. It also comes with a black tiestring bag which i found useful to put my bits of makeup in ,then in my bag...as you always lose something in your bag when you just throw them all in loose.
I find the colour good...i currently use compact powder colour 3,which is suitable for me.I think it lasts ok too,i maybe touch up later in the day...but i did with others i have tried.
I have found it better applying it with a face powder brush i...

Ruby & Millie - The Best Yet
Review of Ruby & Millie Mascara by
natz_welch
Advantages: Lasts, does not clump, great coverage
Disadvantages: Pricey, hard to find on the high street
...Not being a typical girly girl make up is something I do not like to pay out on, however Ruby & Millie have seemed to have converted me in the realm of mascara.
I am on an constant search for a mascara with the following components:
1. It covers and thickens the five lashes that I have making them look like I have more than I do
2. It does not clump
3. My eyes do not run for the rest of the day
4. It does not run out or dry up after 2 weeks
5. Does not cost a arm and a leg
And after years of using number 17 until they changed all their products I was a bit dubious to paying out and went through a numerous number of high street brands each one disappointing me more than the last!
Then low and behold one Christmas a couple of years ago I received a Ruby & Millie gift set for the eyes containing their purple/black mascara and eye liner...

Love at first sight
Review of Sally Hansen Ruby & Millie Perfect Nail File by
carly_pussycat
Advantages: V.gentle but effective, smart looking, doesn't wear out
Disadvantages: Price for some people?
...Ruby & Millie are probably best known for their upmarket, yet still high street, make up brand. However, as well as make up Ruby & Millie also have a small range of accessories including make up brushes, a nail file, nail buffer and various other goodies. I have many of these products but this review will focus on the Ruby & Millie ‘Perfect Nail File’.
It was love at first sight; really! Anyone who has read any of my reviews will know that it only takes a snazzy bit of packaging to make me go weak at the knees. I had a £5 Ruby & Millie voucher for spending £10 in Boots last month and was thrilled as Ruby & Millie is a brand that I use, and love. I scuttled over to the counter and the Perfect Nail File caught my eye because I only own two battered old files.
PRESENTATION
The Perfect Nail File is sold in a thick plastic wallet...

Ruby and Millie lipgloss
Review of Ruby & Millie Lipstick by
rockchickange
Advantages: Stylish packaging, nice shades and a nice treat
Disadvantages: Expensive!
...Ruby and Millie lipgloss has always been out of reach for me. One of those products that you see in magazines and wish that you could own but know there's no way you can afford to spend £13 on a luxury like a lipgloss.
Then one day I decided to blow some money and bought one.
Some of the shades are scarily vivid - I went for number 15 as it's a bit shimmery and has a bit of colour but isn't too bright.
To use it you twist the bottom and the gloss oozes onto the brush. The first time I used it I wasted quite a bit by accident as it doesn't come out straight away on first use. After that though just a couple of twists is enough.
It glides onto your lips and gives them a really shiny glossy look with less of a sticky feeling than many other glosses I've tried. However, as with every lipgloss there is an element of sticky-ness.
The good...

compact gorgeousness
Review of Ruby and Millie - Compact Powder by
lizngaz
Advantages: lovely silver compact with mirror, great coverage
Disadvantages: quite small amount of powder, less than adequate sponge applicator, not very long lasting
...I use a lot of Ruby and Millie products after receiving a gift set for Christmas a couple of years ago and becoming hooked!
I buy my products from Boots (although I have to travel because my local stores do not stock them, but it is worth the drive if I have a couple of products to buy) and there is a lady on the Ruby and Millie counter who can check the products for a perfect match to your skin tone. I originally bought this product, a foundation and a two-tone concealer when my skin was breaking out due to pregnancy. I told the lady that I was after a great coverage to make me look like I should be - blooming! She recommended this product to mattify and help set the foundation, and to keep it there for longer. The range comes in lots of different shades from very fair right through to lovely rich brown. Although I can't comment...
