...SCS-Sheffield/Rotherham We have had x3 orders from SCS all have been faulty, one order had a 3inch rip in it and the Sheffield Mgr accused that we had did it, the other orders included broken hinges, wrong density form cushions and scruff marks. Our first order was in Nov 2006 and we still have no joy, no satisfactory factory goods. Along, with this the mgrs from both shops have been rude & aggressive and I have reported this to their H/Office, one mgr stating 'that we are the type of custs that would never be satisfied?' I have had to take time of from work to let their assessors and delivery of goods and coupled from this rude service, we have had enough. Advantages: wide range of shops with better stock levels than many in-town branches
Disadvantages: hassle to get there - takes a good 30 minutes from the city centre

...Shopping City Süd (SCS) as it is known is one of the largest Shopping Centres in Europe, and is situated south of Vienna, although well connected to the public transport system. To get there you can either take the Badner Bahn (looks like a tram but is really a train), which leaves regularly from opposite the Opera house and takes approximately half an hour to get to Vösendorf (the station you should get out at is Vösendorf SCS). Otherwise there is a free bus to IKEA (also leaving from the Opera House – although you have to pay to get back (EUR 1.45) – departure times are on the IKEA website at www.ikea.at). The Badner Bahn costs EUR 3 (£2) one way or if you have a travelcard for Vienna (zone 100) then it is just EUR 1.50. The Badner Bahn stops about 200m from one of the entrances to SCS. Advantages: Great delivery service, fantastic sofas
Disadvantages: Some of the salespeople are too pushy

...My husband and I were buying a house and had been given an exchange date so we thought we'd better start our search for a sofa. THE GREAT ESCAPE We began this search at SCS, as we walked in the entrance to the store there was a man stood next to a table of drinks (wine and orange juice - we weren't offered one of these!) he approached us and asked if we were interested in leather or fabric sofas, as we said fabric he informed us that they were upstairs and as we had a pushchair he sent us in the direction of the lift - all very helpful so far. The lift was quite small (plus i'm not too keen on them anyway) so I walked up the stairs while my husband and daughter went up in the lift.
