...~Summary~ The Dead Sea, this was the main reason for my trip to Israel. The healing properties of the waters may be overstated, but you can't go to Israel and not experience mudpacks and swimming in the salty water. The resorts are well equipped with showers, lockers, toilets, restaurant and products to take back home. The actual Dead Sea waters are receding so it is a long walk to the water edge, but there is a land train if you have trouble walking far. ...Pampering and home spa treatments are, for me, some of the most pleasurable and enjoyful aspects of being a woman. ...I visited Australia as my brother lives over there a few years ago and he was lucky enough to book me a place to go scuba diving. I have always had such a desire to go and see the Coral Reef and all the life forms that you can't even imagine unless you have seen pictures in magazings. It was my first ever experience of flying and when I got there, my first experience of visiting a world famous theme park, Sea World Orlando. ...Tired of Disney, then find the real world of live creatures. Just off of International Drive and Interstate 4. Fun for all the family. With my 2 year pass for Busch Gardens, my favourite place of all, I got 2 years at SeaWorld too. Not bad for $159 (about £100). If you are just visiting for a holiday then you will ask, 'Why is she telling us this'. Well you don't have to be a Florida resident to get great deals. If you are visiting 2 or 3 times a year, as a lot of people I meet do, then this could interest you. My husband and I visit Orlando 4 or 5 times a year. We normally have 1 day at Disney, but love to use our pass for Sea World. We can just pop in for a couple of hours and then leave. Free parking, free entrance, free trip up the Sky Tower (normally $3 - £2) plus 10% or 15% discounts on taking friends into the park, food... Read review

...It is sad I know, but I have wanted Sea Monkeys of my own for about 30 years. The 70’s have a lot to answer for! You see, to me Sea Monkeys were the strange mysterious things that were advertised in comics when I was young, along with X-Ray specs and dirty soap bars. So maybe they were just a big joke, but I would never know unless I actually got some. After much deliberating as whether I should take the plunge or not, and trying to convince my boys that they would like some, I gave in and got myself a Sea Monkey set for £4.99. Yes, myself, as the boys had no interest in them at all, and they thought I was mad! Mine came from Tescos, in the Toy Aisle. ...I’m sure if any of you remember reading my review about Paul Geraghty’s lovely picture book called Tortuga. This is a story about a tortoise who is washed out to sea and ends up on a tropical island. I saw this book again this week and with it was another beautiful book about a turtle. The front cover drew my attention straight away and I just HAD to open it and flick through. This book is called Little Turtle and the Song of the Sea ~ it is written by Sheridan Cain and illustrated by Norma Burgin. ~~~WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT? The main character of this book is a baby turtle and the story follows his life from hatching to reaching the sea. As the book begins he is still in his egg, he then hatches out and must begin to cross the sand and go to the safety of the sea. It sounds like a simple little story, but the book is beautiful... ...Sea World Orlando <<< Rides >>> There are only two rides at Sea World Orlando The Kraken, which is a High-speed roller coaster! And the Journey to Atlantis, which is a roller coaster, boat ride! The Kraken is Floorless and you sit in Rows of 4, then you go at a High-Speed through Twists, Turns, Corkscrews, Loops and Inversions! The Journey to Atlantis log flume is a boat ride where you sit in rows of two and sit in a carriage or 6, and you go through a adventure boat ride and then you go down a big drop, then go back into the rest of the story and then you go at a high-speed roller coaster jus around a corner! And then get soaked!!! Advantages: A classic story of rescue at sea
Disadvantages: Somewhat older now.

...The time is late in the War. France has been invaded but not all the continent is yet free. An aeroplane is overdue at its base and a fragmentary distress radio message has been received. Bad weather is expected soon. Already at sea and on station are rescue launches which might be able to find the downed crew. One of which is a VIP with very important information. This is a story set in Wartime North sea when to have an aircraft shot down was a virtual death sentence. There was before of the modern conveniences of search radar, radio's helicopters and lifeboats. There were armed motor launches that tried to find downed air crew. But this is not an easy job even by today's standards. The sea moves constantly and a person or a life raft are small.
