SEE See No Evil, Hear No Evil
Review of See No Evil, Hear No Evil DVD by  gav-o

Advantages: Richard Pryor and Gene Weilder, hilarious, fun to watch
Disadvantages: none unless you are bothered about foul language

...This film has the be one of the most funny if not the funniest film i have ever seen. it is absolutely hysterical. See No Evil, Hear No Evil features the creasingly funny double act of Richard Pryor one of the most influential and naturally funny comedians of our time (sadly passed away). And Gene Weilder an equally funny man with great acting ability. The Plot/ Story Basically the two men meet by chance Richard Pryor playing the Character of Wally Keru a blind man who is unemployed and seeks employment from Gene Weilder who plays David Lyons a deaf shop owner in a city building. Both men are witness to a murder but neither of them saw or heard anything. They find them selves wrongly accused of murder and are determined to fight for their freedom. The two men develop a great friendship over the time they spend together in this fun... Read review

see no evil hear no evil
Review of See No Evil, Hear No Evil DVD by  blissman70

Advantages: good entertainment and some funny scenes
Disadvantages: some people may not like it.

.... But with Dave hearing nothing, only seeing a long legged lady leaving the store and Wally seeing nothing but hearing the gunshot and an exchange of voices the pair must stick together to prove their innocence. As the pair flee from the law, trying to prove their innocence by tracking down the real killer little do they realise that the real killers, Eve, (played by Joan Severance) and Kirgo, (played by Kevin Spacey), are looking for them. The chase goes on. **IN CONCLUSION** Not the greatest of movies but the repartee between Pryor and Wilder can be hilarious. For starters the interview for the store assistant is comical, with Dave being Deaf and Wally being blind, and the pair having no idea about each others disabilities, a lot of confusion is inevitable. To be perfectly honest, when you pair a stubborn blind man and a happy... Read review

How the farting hell did you not see that
Review of See No Evil, Hear No Evil DVD by  super_stevo

Advantages: untimely classic
Disadvantages: slightly outdated

...Thinking back to when I was a nipper I have always liked watching films. My favourite genre without a doubt as to be comedy and over the years there has been a mixture of some comedy geniuses as well as some howlers that are never heard of again. Well see no evil hear no evil is one of them cmic gems that you could watch over and over again and not tire from it. The two main stars of the film, Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder are both wonderful and self established stars with an irreplacable chemistry, and that chemistry is utilized very well throughout. Of course, the brilliantly original premise helps as well. A blind guy and a deaf guy who pair up to solve a murder? Classic! That premise is used wonderfully. There's a great line where they're interrogated and angry officer screams out, "Between the two of you, you saw and heard... Read review

"I smelled a woman, I didn't see a woman"
Review of See No Evil, Hear No Evil DVD by  HighPriestess

Advantages: Funny, funny , funny
Disadvantages: Quite old now

...I found this film so funny, that I actually went to the cinema to see it three times! See No Evil, Hear No Evil was released in 1989 and stars Gene Wilder as Dave Lyons and Richard Pryor as Wally Karue. Dave is deaf and Wally is blind - neither were born this way and both struggle to come to terms with their disabilities. For a long while after he lost his hearing, Dave continued working as an actor, lip reading the other actors and pretending he hadn't lost his hearing. Wally likes to have his independence, won't use a cane, and won't admit that there are some things that he just can't do. Dave runs a newspaper stand and meets Wally when he applies for a job. The two of them make a good partnership until the day when a customer is shot dead at the counter. Dave (who had his back to the man) Couldn't hear the shot, but sees... Read review

Resident Evil Phwoar!
Review of Resident Evil 4 (GameCube) by  Dogbert

Advantages: Grpahics, Game play, Great Plot
Disadvantages: Not enough copies in the stores, Not for the faint hearted

...any here as I can’t apply an 18 certificate to this review. What I will say though is do not allow children to play this game; it is very gruesome and very detailed. >>>>>>>>>Resident Evil 4 – Visuals The first thing that anyone will notice about Resident Evil 4 is the graphics. I have never seen better graphics on any game or any other console, ever! If that sounds a little over the top, its not! This game is a real example of how games can look and what the current consoles can still produce. Not only do the characters look realistic, everything looks great. You can see Leon’s hair moving in the wind, grass swaying and fires blazing. Screen shots of the game look amazing, but they don’t give you a true feeling for just how good this game is graphically. There are 2 disc’s to this game and there are plenty of fantastic cut... Read review

Resident Evil: Bloodbath!
Review of Resident Evil 4 (PS2) by  kingchris

Advantages: Fantastic game, BREATHTAKING graphics, exciting and tense
Disadvantages: comes out for ps2 in october, will scare you like no game has done before!

...like a snake, a spider and a rather large man in a sinister mac, but Resident Evil 4 has the real boss battles, here you get to fight against many different types of bosses, here they are: > U3- This is a very disturbing-looking creature and is sort of like a mixture of a tyrant, a scorpion, a hunter, and a licker. They sometimes dig underground. > El Lago- El Lago is a giant, alligator-like creature that seeks havoc in the local lake. After steering the boat, you should see a huge creature immersing from the water, this is El Lago. > El Gigante version 1- You better hope you rescued the dog in the beginning of the game, as he will come in handy in this fight. El Gigante can either be very easy, or very hard. The El Gigante will be distracted by the dog you may have rescued from the beginning, this lets you get a few shots in... Read review

Resident Evil 2
Review of Resident Evil 2 (GameCube) by  Tony_Edwards

Advantages: Good game, good playability
Disadvantages: Graphics could have been better

.../COMPLEMENTING OPINION My first Resident Evil game was, oddly enough, the second Resident Evil game, so I never did really understand the story. Having never owned a Sony PlayStation, I was quite happy to see the RE2 for N64 come out, so with that said; this was my first RE experience, and having it remade for the GameCube was compelling. Resident Evil 2 closely follows the story of the previous story, and introduces us to 2 new intersting people; Claire Redfield, who is desperately looking for her brother Chris after the unfortunate happenings, and Leon Kennedy, who drives by at the wrong place, at the wrong time. The two continue to answer questions about the origins of the T-Virus and what happened, so it’s suffice to say that this game is a must-have. I really complement this game on it’s wonderful follow-up story and ingenious setting, wonderful... Read review

Jacob says Goodnight
Review of See No Evil DVD by  Arbobug

Advantages: A very good horror film with interesting plot, and lots of gore
Disadvantages: Deaths are a bit too soon after each other to begin with

...As I used to be a fan of WWE (Back when it was called WWF) and I am a big horror fan, See No Evil seemed to promise greatness from the start. Plot ------ WWE Superstar Kane stars in this gory horror as Jacob Goodnight, a madman on the loose with an axe, a weird looking hook thing on a chain, and a perverted passion for kidnapping women who seem to be religious. The film opens with a great scene involving two policemen answering some sort of call to check out a house where people have heard a woman screaming. One of these policemen is involved later on... The main story of the film is about a group of teenagers who are sentenced to community service. They are to go to an old hotel and clean it up for three days for use as a homeless retreat. The ovious only problem is that madman Jacob Goodnight currently resides here somewhere... Read review

Evil REborn
Review of Resident Evil 4 (GameCube) by  3rdRockSatan

Advantages: Gorgeous | Highly entertaining | A fantastic new direction
Disadvantages: Some minor niggles

...the few screens we got it would seem that Leon wasn’t at all well, seemingly infected with a virus and also chased by a mysterious black shape as he trundled the gloomy halls of the Umbrella base. Interest was high for the game but it would seem Capcom had other ideas because that Resident Evil 4 as we knew it would never see the light of day. Capcom wanted to bring Resident Evil right back to the forefront of the survival horror genre and it wanted to do it in style. To do this they would abandon everything people once knew about the series. Leon Kennedy is still around but there would be no Umbrella looming over proceedings and, shock horror, there would be no zombies to sink their teeth into your neck. The story of Resident Evil 4 is set six years after the incident in Racoon City that Leon managed to survive. Since... Read review

Resident Evil's Birth
Review of Resident Evil (PSX) by  Gee-virus

Advantages: great story, intence gameplay, great reply value
Disadvantages: voice acting! its awfull

...). Barry has more of an involvement in Jill's storyline and Albert is split between the two. Chris also has a sub like character although you can argue as to whether she is a main character or not. Rebecca Chambers is the medic of bravo team and assists Chris in his Quest. Many characters from Bravo Team pop up through out both quests but you will have to wait and see who and did any other than Rebecca live to see Alpha team? Enemies: Without enemies there is no Resident Evil, so I felt they deserved there own section. Accidents and experiments of Umbrella and its T-virus make up the horror of Resident Evil. Ranging from zombies to genetic mutations, Resident Evil has many enemies that you will never forget. As for the A.I. it's not the best but as well as fair it can be quite the opposite in some situations. For instants, the zombie... Read review
